Without a proper control and management mechanism, the Microgrid efficiency and reliability may plummet which will influence the operation of critical loads connected to the grid. A Fuzzy-Droop controller is proposed to maintain the active and reactive power balance in the Microgrid and, hence, maintain frequency at the nominal value. A particle swarm optimization algorithm is implemented over the proposed design to locate the best gain values of the utilized controllers according to a certain cost function. The proposed control scheme is applied to the diesel generator and battery system units which will guarantee a rapid and sufficient response to disturbances in the network. Furthermore, a weak connection between the Microgrid and the main electricity grid is assumed, which will add more challenges to the proposed control technique. These new applications place significantly higher demands on electrical machines when it comes to power density and energy efficiency. Thus, electrical machines technologies for the aviation industry are aimed at increasing the power density and energy efficiency of each of the elements of the aircraft propulsion system. Disk type electrical machines with axial flux by permanent magnets are of interest for use in aircraft propulsion system with limited axial dimensions. In this work, numerical simulation of various designs of disk type electrical machines was carried out and the most effective design has been determined to ensure the maximum possible energy characteristics. Taking into account the performances of the wiper position sensors and their location in the structure of the mechanism, as well as the absence of the possibility of reversing the direction of electric motors rotation, automatic stabilization of the electric motors speeds and positioning of the wipers in the trajectories extreme positions were used to coordinate their motion. To stabilize the speed of each of the electric motors, an automatic control with positive feedbacks on their currents is applied. The electric drive logical control during the implementation of the coordinated cyclic motion of the wipers is described, as well as the software structure of the microprocessor control system. The hardware and detailed software for this electric drive control system have been developed. During the development of the software, the tools of model-based programming and automatic generation of program code were used. The software provides automatic stabilization of the electric motors speeds, an automatic logic control for the wipers cyclic motion, input of discrete and analog signals for logic control and monitoring the electric drive serviceability. Selective laser melting was used to fabricate two metal rods – one from an aluminum alloy (AlSi10Mg) and the other from silicon steel (Fe-3.7%w.t.Si) powder. For measuring the thermal conductivity, an experimental setup is designed and the measurements are carried out. In this case, diagnostics and timely prediction of potential faults are important. The paper gives an overview of the problem describing main bearing damages. Particularly, different shaft currents related faults are discussed in detail. Implementation of these faults in laboratory environment is introduced. Anuchin","doi":"10.1109/IWED54598.2022.9722584","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/IWED54598.2022.9722584","url":null,"abstract":"Finite element analysis was conducted to study the stress behaviour in a generic electric high-revolution rimdriven rotor in relation to the number of spokes and rotational speed using the maximum distortion energy failure criterion. The paper analysed the stresses on an electric high-revolution rotor and locate the failure’s potential origins. Upon analysing the FEA results, it is found that the maximum equivalent von-Mises stress is related to the square of revolution in RPM.
