Abstract

Modern electrical machines in the aviation industry are used in relatively new and non-standard applications. These new applications place significantly higher demands on electrical machines when it comes to power density and energy efficiency. Thus, electrical machines technologies for the aviation industry are aimed at increasing the power density and energy efficiency of each of the elements of the aircraft propulsion system. Disk type electrical machines with axial flux by permanent magnets are of interest for use in aircraft propulsion system with limited axial dimensions.
