In East Java, Surabaya is the fourth city with the highest number of divorces, with 4938 couples deciding to divorce in 2016. This study aimed to analyze the role of trust and forgiveness towards marital intimacy in dual-earner husbands or wives in Surabaya. This study used a quantitative research design. Populations in this study were working individuals with a working spouse (including part-time and freelance), living in Surabaya, and still engaged in marital relationships. The study sample consisted of 107 subjects selected using the convenience sampling technique. Data collection was obtained through an online questionnaire on Google Forms. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression tests on the JASP (Jeffreys’s Amazing Statistics Program) program. The results showed that trust and forgiveness played a significant role in marital intimacy in dual-earner husbands or wives (F(2.104) = 48.46; p<0.001). Only trust had a significant effect on marital intimacy (t = 7.375; p<0.001) whereas forgiveness had no significant effect on marital intimacy (t = 1.394; p > 0.05).","PeriodicalId":56221,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu Keluarga dan Konsumen","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42740423","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More millennials are deciding to postpone marriage. This study aims to examine working women of the millennial generation who decide to get married. This research used an emergent mixed-method sequential explanatory design. The emergent mixed method is a mixed-method research design that was not decided at the outset. Researchers first conducted quantitative research. Qualitative research was carried out because there were significant findings for further exploration in the quantitative phase. Participants in Study 1 consisted of 123 working mothers, while five working mothers became participants in Study 2. The participants were working wives from the millennial generation undergoing the first 10 years of marriage. The findings of Study 2 were inconsistent with the findings of Study 1, or discordance occurred. Findings from Study 2 were different from the findings obtained in Western countries. Participants used religious values as a guide to maintaining the integrity and longevity of the marriage. In addition, the partner’s involvement in raising children brings satisfaction and happiness to the participants in their marriage.","PeriodicalId":56221,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu Keluarga dan Konsumen","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45102771","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aimed to analyze the influence of knowledge and attitudes on consumer behavior and explore the role of the Consumer Dispute Settlement Agency (BPSK) in supervising the inclusion of the exoneration clause. This research applied sequential mixed methods that combine quantitative and qualitative approaches. The survey was conducted on 170 respondents who were selected by voluntary sampling. The descriptive analysis showed that consumer knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to the exoneration clause were still low. Only knowledge had a significant effect on consumer attitudes. The result of the in-depth interview concludes that the role of BPSK has not been effective and tends to be passive in supervising the inclusion of the exoneration clause. It is because there are no clear technical instructions and implementation instructions related to the supervision of the inclusion of the exoneration clause. Therefore, an institution with authority must examine, validate, and certify standard clauses before being applied to consumers.","PeriodicalId":56221,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu Keluarga dan Konsumen","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42773255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To create the happiness that can make families have a positive picture of their lives, support, the ability to cope with stress, and the ability of parents and children to have good relationships are needed. The main purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of family characteristics, ex-husband characteristics, ex-husband support, coping strategies, and parent-child relationship on the single parent family happiness. The design of this study was a cross-sectional study. Sampling of the study was conducted using non-probability sampling with voluntary sampling techniques. The study was conducted on single parent families with children in Indonesia who were divorced and whose ex-husband were still alive. The sample for this study was 100 families. The result showed that maternal income has a significant negative impact on coping strategies, ex-husband support has a significant positive impact on parent-child relationships, and maternal income and coping strategies have a significant positive impact on single parent family happiness. Single parent family can emerge from the crisis caused by divorce by increasing efforts to increase income, and maintaining positive communication with the ex-husband is also expected to be able to increase his affection and responsibility even though the children live with their mother.","PeriodicalId":56221,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu Keluarga dan Konsumen","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44963450","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to examine the innovation of public nutrition education based on social media marketing on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter and to measure its effect on cognitive, affective, and behavioral changes. The research applied a quasi-experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test designs. The research was conducted from September to December 2021. There were 89 respondents spread across five social media. Data were analyzed using the paired t-test. Overall, for all social media, there was an increase in knowledge of 13,88 points, attitudes of 2,30 points, and behavior of 5,81 points. In general, for the three variables, by adding up the deltas of change, the social media with the highest increase was TikTok (36,75), followed by Instagram (22,29), Twitter (20,25), Youtube (16,66), and Facebook (12,61). The paired t-test showed significant differences in knowledge, attitudes, and behavior before and after the intervention. Social media with the biggest changes in knowledge was TikTok, while changes in attitudes and behavior were more effectively done through Instagram. This research implies that stakeholders may use these findings to develop the prevention and alleviation measures to address stunting problems more effectively and with a broad impact.","PeriodicalId":56221,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu Keluarga dan Konsumen","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69143572","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to analyze the parental psychological control and emotional autonomy in adolescent identity formation. This study used quantitative research methods with a cross-sectional approach. The participants of this study were 480 adolescents in Surabaya aged 12-21 who were obtained by the quota sampling method. The Indonesian versions of the Utrecht-Management of Identity Commitments Scale, Psychological Control Scale-Youth Self-Report, and Emotional Autonomy Scale were used to measure identity formation, parental psychological control, and emotional autonomy. Data analysis was carried out using multiple regression and hierarchical regression. The results indicate that the mother’s psychological control predicted deep exploration, the father’s psychological control predicted commitment, whereas emotional autonomy predicted low commitment. In addition, emotional autonomy was not a moderator between parental psychological control and identity formation. These findings indicate that parental psychological control and emotional autonomy have different roles in identity formation according to the context in Indonesia.","PeriodicalId":56221,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu Keluarga dan Konsumen","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46131675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study examines two purposes related to child-rearing barriers and social support of migrant families by utilizing qualitative research with a case study design. In-depth interviews and observation carried out data collection during August-November 2021 involving six (6) Indonesian migrant mothers living in Seoul using purposive sampling. Mothers were chosen as informants by considering them as the primary caregiver for children. Regarding the first purpose, this study identified internal and external barriers in child-rearing. In addition, three themes related to social support are analyzed, including instrumental support in tangible and service assistance, emotional support related to social adjustment support, and informational support to access services for children. The resources of support systems come from spouses and parents, Indonesian and Korean friends/colleagues, social institutions, and social media networks. Therefore, there is a need for comprehensive social interventions to strengthen social support for migrant families.","PeriodicalId":56221,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu Keluarga dan Konsumen","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45326843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
