This study was conducted using a quantitative methodology and a real experimental pretest-posttest control group design. Eighth-grade enrollment was 60 pupils, who were equally distributed between two classes. The samples were comprised of the whole population and were chosen using a simple random selection technique. There were 30 pupils in both the experimental class (VIII-A) and the control class (VIII-B) (VIII-B). The pre-test and post-test each consisted of 20 multiple-choice questions, and they served as the data collection instruments. Using 58 degrees of freedom (df) and a significance threshold of 0.05, a t-test revealed that the value of to was 6,515, and that ttable was 1,673. This equation indicated that to is more than ttable (6,515 > 1,673). According to the study's findings, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) should be accepted, whereas the null hypothesis (Ho) should be rejected. It suggests that the experimental class scored differently than the control class after the therapy was administered. The Predicting Approach with Webtoons has a major impact on students' reading comprehension.","PeriodicalId":56152,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Peuradeun","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43840636","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A comprehensive search was used to find eligible articles in the Academic Scopus Database. Further, the quality of the study was assessed during the screening phase, where it met 115 journal-related articles on digital government within the social sciences discipline. Further, this literature was analyzed by NVivo 12 Plus via a hierarchy diagram, cluster analysis, word frequency analysis, and the VOSViwer tool to visualize the data via a network, overlay, and density analysis. The findings revealed a term network formed by digital government and trend issues, resulting in several growing concerns, such as e-government, open government, and technology adoption. Furthermore, key features were reported following proportional analysis, such as systems, development, services, models, information, public, policy, management, and networks. Another point is that a proposed theoretical model has been constructed and selected for future research.","PeriodicalId":56152,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Peuradeun","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42248067","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The situation has changed during the past few decades, as fewer women hold crucial government positions. This paper traced the history of women and their role in Aceh through colonial and post-colonial contexts from the early years of this century to the present day. This study also examined the role and contributions made by the Acehnese women through the women's movement and their participation in political life, as well as the reasons for the lack of women appointed as policymakers, as indicated by multiple studies on this topic. A qualitative library research method was employed, and the data from text documents were analyzed using critical discourse analysis. The research showed that women in Aceh continued to play an essential role in the public domain and made significant contributions through the movement. However, The lack of opportunity for women to occupy their position as policymakers were influenced by diverse issues ranging from the patriarchal culture in Aceh, the inability of a political party to cadre women, to the misconception of people in interpreting religious belief that women should not be allowed to be a leader.","PeriodicalId":56152,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Peuradeun","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46254302","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Forgetfulness may be a blessing from Allah to make life easier by allowing humans to forget bad events and shocks from the past. However, increased forgetfulness can lead to issues such as forgetting the Quran and other important information and being unable to concentrate. The questions that arose were how forgetfulness hinders humans in a variety of situations and circumstances, as well as its impact on living a healthy life. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study investigated how Islam explains forgetting, its causes, and its cures from a scientific and spiritual standpoint. This study also revealed treatments that can be done to overcome this disease and circumvent negative impressions. This article found some tips to strengthen memory, such as reciting dhikr (remembrance), maintaining a well-balanced diet, reading books, memorizing the Quran, and participating in frequent prayer, which are all excellent ways to exercise a Muslim's mind.","PeriodicalId":56152,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Peuradeun","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47931345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Still, the perception that \"mathematics is a difficult subject\" hinders students from handling the subject seriously. This type of phobia limits the students’ opportunity to select professions and study in prospective fields to guarantee a smooth career in the future. The purpose of this study was to determine how student mathematics anxiety affects student mathematics achievement. The sample for the survey was selected randomly. We proposed the hypothesis that “the levels of mathematical anxiety have a negative impact on mathematical performance”. Consequently, descriptive, correlation, and regression analyses have been carried out to prove our hypothesis. We used the Mathematics Anxiety Rating Scale questionnaire (A-MARS) developed by Richardson and Suinn (1972) for assessing mathematics anxiety and the General Entrance Exam (GEE) results in mathematics are considered the achievement criteria. The study’s results illustrated the negative linear correlation (r = -0.479, p <0.05) between mathematics anxiety and mathematical performance. In another world, the results show that mathematics anxiety negatively affects students' mathematical performance.","PeriodicalId":56152,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Peuradeun","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47249649","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 348 respondents were involved in this study consisting, including the headmaster (n=20), teachers (n=76), and parents (n=252). Data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to respondents using Google Forms for four months. Data analysis used confirmatory factor analysis through Partial Least Squares-Path Modeling (PLS-PM), which assisted the Smart PLS. Testing the measurement model using construct validity and internal consistency reliability showed two items (P4-participation and A3-accountability) having loading factors that do not satisfy the criteria. Likewise, both items were excluded from the model, which impacted the acceptance of the model fit. Furthermore, testing the quality of the structural model using the goodness of fit (GoF=0.524) was more significant than 0.36, which meant the quality of the structural model was very strong and significant. The transparency aspect had the most robust coefficient, which signals that everyone regarding the implementation of SOA funds in schools freely obtained the disclosure of financial and academic information. Other scholars can explore the role of the principal, teachers, and parents in making learning successful in schools by optimizing the use of SOA funds.","PeriodicalId":56152,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Peuradeun","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42990259","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Observation, questionnaire, and interview were conducted at three important tourist cities in Aceh: Banda Aceh, Sabang, and Takengon. Three hundred twenty-five respondents participated in this research, and convenience sampling was used to select them. The results were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s qualitative analysis method and the SWOT analysis to construct the expected model. The result indicated that the HT model must be arranged under the following six principles: ease, reliability, safety, trust, openness, and continual improvement. Those principles can be implemented in every aspect of tourism: policies and regulations, facilities, hotels, other accommodations, transportation, and human resources. Also, progress in the HT management must focus on implementing Sharia in the plenary (kaffah) and improving the locals’ prosperity. Besides, the HT model consists of planning, decision-making, providing support, socializing, implementing, and supervising, considering its principles toward tourism and local cultures and values. The implementation of the model is expected to ensure the communities' life and integrate their inextricable foundation, Sharia while stimulating their socio-economic through the possibility of investment and employment in the future.","PeriodicalId":56152,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Peuradeun","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46464978","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its main aim was to describe unique verbal and non-verbal symbolic features with semiotic meanings and philosophical messages based on the local values of the Gayo ethnic. The study employed a qualitative research design. The data were collected from observation, interviews and documentation. The data were analyzed with the Miles and Huberman interactive models consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/ verification. Meanwhile result analysis was based on the semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes. The result showed that most of the series of phases of Gayo ethnic marriage processions were filled with verbal and non-verbal symbols, which have semiotic meanings and philosophical messages which are still used until this day. However, many of those verbal and nonverbal symbols have no longer been understood well by Gayo young generation. Consequently, they only perform the series of processions as a formality without understanding the meaning of each symbol.","PeriodicalId":56152,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Peuradeun","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49221985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many people joined in the battle for independence, even Muslim scholars and students interested in expelling colonialism. Teungku Abdul Djalil, a preacher in Aceh, issued a fatwa commanding the people to “depopulate” the Japanese from the veranda of Mecca. Teungku Abdul Djalil, or more generally known as Teungku Cot Plieng, was the leader of Dayah Cot Plieng in Bayu, North Aceh. Since 1942, this prominent clergyman has rallied 400 students (santri) to openly oppose the Japanese resistance in Aceh. His study attempted to quantify the success of the character and his followers (santri) in achieving Indonesian independence, as well as their resolve not to be influenced by Japanese Hakko Ichiu political propaganda. Utilizing a descriptive-analytic historical method, the research process began with data collection (heuristics), source critique, interpretation, and historiography. The research subjects’ credibility was established through perpetrators and witnesses from Japan’s history of resistance. This investigation revealed that Teungku Abdul Djalil and his students played an important role as the first pioneers in expelling the Japanese from Indonesia.","PeriodicalId":56152,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Peuradeun","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49363208","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
