However, the DBD case remains to fluctuate annually. The purpose of the research is to assess the community's knowledge, attitudes, and actions before Kawua Village intervention and after the intervention on G1R1J as well as comparing with the Sayo Village as a control area. Research design using the quasi-experimental with a control method. Data Collection is done to the public to know the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of The G1R1J program in the intervention area and compare it to the control region. The total sample of 150 households for each part is the intervention and control region. Statistical analysis using the dependent T-test. There are differences in the average knowledge, attitudes, and actions of respondents before and after intervention in the Kawua region (intervention area). There is a significant difference in knowledge, attitudes, and acts of respondents after intervention in the Kawua region (intervention area) and Sayo region  (non-intervention area). There was a change in the rate of knowledge, attitudes, and actions of respondents after the intervention of socialization and mentoring four times. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Gerakan 1 Rumah 1 Jumantik (G1R1J) merupakan upaya yang efektif untuk mencegah penularan DBD di Kabupaten Poso. Namun, kasus DBD tetap berfluktuasi setiap tahunnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menilai pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan masyarakat Kelurahan Kawua sebelum diberikan intervensi dan setelah intervensi tentang G1R1J serta membandingkan dengan Kelurahan Sayo sebagai wilayah yang tidak dilakukan intervensi (kontrol). Disain penelitian menggunakan metode quasi experimental with control. Pengumpulan data dilakukan kepada masyarakat untuk mengetahui pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku terhadap program G1R1J di wilayah intervensi serta membandingkannya dengan wilayah kontrol. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 150 rumah untuk masing-masing wilayah yaitu wilayah intervensi dan wilayah kontrol. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji T dependen. Terdapat perbedaan rerata pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan responden yang signifikan sebelum dan setelah intervensi di wilayah Kelurahan Kawua (wilayah intervensi). The continuous use of insecticides can cause resistant Ae. aegypti. One indicator of mosquito resistance to organophosphate is acetylcholinesterase insensitivity, which is encoded by the ace-1 gene. This study aims to analyze the status of resistance and detect ace-1 gene mutations in Ae. aegypti in Ambon city. This research is a descriptive and analytic study with a cross-sectional research design. Resistance status was tested by the CDC bottle bioassay and the detection of ace-1 gene mutations was established using PCR and sequencing. The nucleotide sequence was edited with Mega 7 software. The results of resistance tests using the CDC bottle bioassay method showed Ae. aegypti from the Waihaong and Rijali Community Health Centers had a mortality of 92% and 95.83% (tolerant), while the Latuhalat, Amahusu, Air Salobar, Benteng, Urimessing, Christina Martha Thiahahu, Karpan, Belso, Air Besar, Kilang, Halong, Lateri, Passo, and Nania had mortality between 98-100% (vulnerable). Sequencing and alignment results showed that there were no ace-1 gene mutations in Ae. aegypti originating from Waihaong and Rijali Community Health Centers. Ae. aegypti resistance status in 2 Community Health Centers is tolerant and 14 other Community Health Centers are vulnerable. There are no ace-1 gene mutations in Ae. aegypti at the Waihaong and Rijali Community Health Centers in Ambon City. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Nyamuk Aedes aegypti adalah vektor utama penyakit demam berdarah dengue (DBD). Penggunaan insektisida terus menerus dapat menyebabkan nyamuk Ae. aegypti resisten. Salah satu indikator resistensi nyamuk terhadap insektisida organofosfat adalah insensitivitas acetylcholinesterase, yang dikode oleh gen ace-1. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis status resistensi dan mendeteksi mutasi gen ace-1 pada nyamuk Ae. aegypti di kota Ambon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dan analitik dengan rancangan penelitian cross sectional. Status resistensi diuji dengan metode CDC bottle bioassay dan deteksi mutasi gen ace-1 ditegakkan menggunakan PCR dan sekuensing. Urutan nukleotida diedit dengan software Mega 7. Hasil uji resistensi dengan metode CDC bottle bioassay menunjukan nyamuk Ae. aegypti dari Puskesmas Waihaong dan Rijali memiliki mortalitas 92% dan 95,83% (toleran), sedangkan Puskesmas Latuhalat, Amahusu, Air Salobar, Benteng, Urimessing, Chrsitina Martha Thiahahu, Karpan, Belso, Air Besar, Kilang, Halong, Lateri, Passo, dan Nania memiliki mortalitas antara 98-100% (rentan). Hasil sekuensing dan alignment menunjukan tidak terdapat mutasi gen ace-1 pada nyamuk Ae. aegypti yang berasal dari Puskesmas Waihaong dan Rijali. Status resistensi nyamuk Ae. aegypti  di 2 Puskesmas Kota Ambon tergolong toleran dan 14 Puskesmas lainnuya tergolong rentan. The word’s third-heighest cases of leptospirosis. This study aimed to determine the type of mouse as an intermediate transmission of leptospirosis disease in Minahasa District, North Sulawesi. Trapping of rats was performed by using 100 mouse traps (live Trap) for two consecutive days across six ecosystems. Rats were identified by external morphological characteristics. Microscopic Agglutination Test (MAT) and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) were conducted using  rat kidney samples. The number of rats caught in the present study was 105 heads consisting of six species e.g Rattus tanezumi, Rattus exulans, Rattus hoffmanni, Bunomis coelestis, Bunomis fratorum, and Paruromys dominator. The proportion of rats identified as MAT-based leptospirosis reservoir was  0.9% while the PCR test was 1.9%. Rattus tanezumi identified as leptospirosis reservoirs were found were found in the NHDP (non forest near to sattlement) ecosystem. Rattus tanezumi trapped near the settlement was positive as leptospirosis reservoirs in the Minahasa District. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Leptospirosis merupakan penyakit zoonosis endemik dan masih menjadi masalah Kesehatan di Indonesia. Angka CFR penyakit ini dilaporkan sebesar 2,5 – 16,4% atau rata-rata 7,1% sehingga menempatkan Indonesia sebagai negara peringkat ketiga tertinggi di dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis tikus perantara penyakit leptospirosis di Kabupaten Minahasa Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Penangkapan tikus dilakukan dengan menggunakan 100 perangkap tikus (live trap) selama 2 hari berturut-turut di enam ekosistem. Tikus diidentifikasi dengan melihat karakteristik morfologi eksternalnya kemudian dilakukan pemeriksaan secara biomolekuler yaitu uji Microscopic Aglutination Test (MAT) dan Polimerase Chain Reaction (PCR) terhadap sampel ginjal tikus. Jumlah tikus yang tertangkap sebanyak 105 ekor yang terbagi menjadi enam spesies yaitu: Rattus tanezumi, Rattus Exulans, Rattus hoffmanni, Bunomis coelestis, Bunomis fratorum, dan Paruromys dominator. Proporsi tikus yang teridentifikasi sebagai reservoir leptospirosis berdasarkan uji MAT adalah  0,9% dan sebesar 1,9% berdasarkan uji PCR. An assessment action to describe the knowledge and behavior of the community regarding leptospirosis incidence in Gantiwarno District was carried out as input in efforts to control leptospirosis. The research location was in Towangsan Village, using a cross-sectional design. Data was collected in October-November 2018 through a survey among 32 residents around the case house and indepth interviews with five staff of district health office and Gantiwarno public health center. Most respondents have correct knowledge about first symptoms, health assistance facilities for leptospirosis treatment, mode of transmission, leptospirosis prevention, and carcasses handling. The community already knew about early symptoms, but didn’t see the necessity of the second visit in health facilities nor given information to medical staff about exposure history or risk factors. Qualitatively, farmers' groups are susceptible to leptospirosis because some communities still throwing rat carcasses into paddy fields, minimum use of PPE, and handwashing behavior. Health Office was recommended to educate the community about the importance of repeated visits to health facilities and providing risk factor information to health workers related to leptospirosis. Counseling leptospirosis prevention in farmer groups is carried out through cross-sectoral collaboration between the regency health office and regency agriculture office. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Kasus leptospirosis di Kabupaten Klaten tahun 2016-2018 mengalami peningkatan. Kegiatan assessment dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan pengetahuan dan perilaku masyarakat pada peningkatan kasus leptospirosis di Kecamatan Gantiwarno. Rancangan penelitian adalah cross sectional. Lokasi penelitian di Desa Towangsan, Kecamatan Gantiwarno, dengan waktu pengumpulan data pada bulan Oktober-November 2018. Survei pengetahuan dilakukan pada 32 orang penduduk di sekitar rumah kasus dan wawancara mendalam dilakukan pada 5 orang staf dinas kesehatan dan puskesmas. Sebagian besar responden telah memiliki pengetahuan yang benar tentang gejala awal, pemanfaatan fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan untuk pengobatan leptospirosis, cara penularan dan pencegahan leptospirosis, serta cara menangani bangkai. Masyarakat mengetahui gejala awal leptospirosis, namun belum mengetahui perlunya kunjungan ulang ke sarana kesehatan dan menginformasikan riwayat faktor risiko untuk membantu penegakan diagnosis. Secara kualitatif, kelompok petani rentan terhadap penularan leptospirosis karena adanya perilaku masyarakat membuang bangkai tikus ke sawah dan rendahnya penggunaan APD serta perilaku cuci tangan dengan sabun setelah bekerja. Dinas kesehatan direkomendasikan memberikan edukasi ke masyarakat tentang pentingnya kunjungan ulang ke sarana kesehatan dan memberikan informasi faktor risiko ke tenaga kesehatan apabila memiliki gejala awal leptospirosis. The purpose of this study was to describe the use of control programs and household insecticides in dengue-endemic areas in North Kalimantan. The study was conducted by a cross-sectional design in the area of North Kalimantan Province, namely in Nunukan, Tarakan, and Bulungan Regency. The activities were interviews and secondary data collection to the DHF Program Manager. The study was conducted during May 2015 in 100 houses chosen randomly in each area. Data were analyzed descriptively to illustrate the use of insecticides, types of formulations, types of active ingredients, frequency, and time of use. The results showed that the insecticide from synthetic pyrethroid and organophosphate groups were mainly used with thermal fogging applications. As many as 790 (87.78%) of respondents stated using household insecticide for the last 3 years. Most people chose to use fuel and aerosol formulations. The most dominant active ingredients used are D-allethrin, Dimeflethrin, and transfluthrin. The frequency of household insecticide used by the community in the study area ranged from 7-14 times per week. The majority of insecticide was used at night. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Pengendalian Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) masih menggunakan metode kimia di Kalimantan Utara, baik di program kesehatan maupun masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran penggunaan insektisida program dan rumah tangga di daerah endemis DBD di Kalimantan Utara. Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Nunukan dan Kabupaten Bulungan, Kalimantan Utara dengan desain observasi dan cross sectional . Kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu wawancara dan pengumpulan data sekunder ke Pengelola Program DBD. Pada masyarakat diambil 3 RW dengan endemisitas tertinggi 3 tahun terakhir. Kegiatan penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2015 pada 100 rumah yang dipilih secara acak pada masing-masing RW. Data hasil wawancara dianalisa secara deskriptif untuk menggambarkan penggunaan insektisida, jenis formulasi, jenis bahan aktif, frekuensi dan waktu penggunaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan insektisida umumnya dari golongan Synthetic peritroid dan organosfosfat dengan aplikasi thermal fogging. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara terhadap 790 responden (87.78%) menyatakan sebagaian besar rumah tangga menggunakan insektisida rumah tangga selama tiga tahun terakhir. Sebagian besar masyarakat memilih menggunakan jenis formulasi bakar dan aerosol dengan bahan aktif yang paling dominan digunakan adalah D-Alethrin dan Dimeflethrin dan transfluthrin. Frekuensi penggunaan insektisida rumah tangga oleh masyarakat di wilayah penelitian berkisar antara 7-14 kali per minggu. Therefore, it is necessary to study \"New Evidence of Natural Presence of Wolbachia sp. in Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus from Makassar\". This research was an explorative and analytic study with a cross-sectional study approach. The sampling of mosquitos was carried out in the Panakkukang District and Biringkanaya District of Makassar City from October to December 2018. The methods used were the Light trap method, Resting collection, and Larva collection. After that, the morphological identification process of Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus was carried out microscopically. Then extraction and purification of Wolbachia DNA using the phenol-chloroform method were used and continued by detecting the wsp gene using PCR and electrophoresis. From 33 Ae. aegypti mosquito pool samples in Makassar City, 28 pools were found from the middle of the city and 5 pools from the suburbs, while from 4 Ae. albopictus mosquito pool samples were found 1 pool from the middle of the city and 3 sample pools from the suburbs. Wolbachia infection was found naturally in Ae. aegypti mosquitoes (2 pools) as in Ae. albopictus mosquitoes (2 pools) in Makassar City. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Saat ini belum ada penelitian tentang ada tidaknya bakteri Wolbachia secara alamiah pada nyamuk Ae. aegypti dan Ae. albopictus di Kota Makassar.  Oleh karena itu, perlu studi mengenai “Bukti Baru Infeksi Natural Wolbachia sp. pada Nyamuk Ae. aegypti dan  Ae.  albopictus di Makassar”. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif dan analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Pengambilan sampel nyamuk dilakukan di Kecamatan Panakkukang dan Kecamatan Biringkanaya Kota Makassar selama periode Oktober–Desember 2018 dengan metode light trap, resting collection, dan koleksi jentik. Setelah itu dilakukan proses identifikasi morfologi Ae. aegypti dan Ae. albopictus secara mikroskopis, kemudian ekstraksi dan pemurnian DNA Wolbachia menggunakan metode phenol-chloroform, dilanjutkan dengan mendeteksi gen wsp menggunakan teknik PCR dan elektroforesis. Dari 33 pool sampel nyamuk Ae. aegypti di Kota Makassar ditemukan 28 pool dari tengah kota dan 5 pool dari pinggiran kota, sedangkan dari 4 pool sampel nyamuk Ae. albopictus ditemukan 1 pool dari tengah kota dan 3 pool sampel dari pinggiran kota. This study aimed to identify the species variety of rats and infection rate of schistosomiasis in rats in schistosomiasis Napu endemic areas, especially in Dodolo and Kaduwaa villages, Poso District, Central Sulawesi. This research was an observational study that conducted from May to June 2018. Trap the rats was carried out for three consecutive nights using 100 traps that were conducted in different places, namely cacao fields, bamboo groves, corn fields, and shrubs. The total number of rats caught in Dodolo Village was 15 of the 100 traps. The species of rats found were Rattus argentiventer, Rattus sp., R.tanezumi, R.exulans, Maxomys muschenbroekii, and Paruromys dominator. The number of rats infected with schistosomiasis was 7 (46,67% infection rate). The total number of rats caught in Kaduwaa Village was 13 of the 100 traps. The species oof rats found were Rattus argentiventer, R.tanezumi, and R.exulans. The number of rats infected with schistosomiasis were 3 (23,07% infection rate). From the results can be concluded that sylvatic transmission of schistosomiasis still occured in endemic areas. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Tikus dikenal sebagai reservoir alami dari beberapa infestasi cacing yang penting bagi kesehatan masyarakat, salah satunya schistosomiasis. Tikus mengandung telur cacing Schistosoma japonicum yang dapat ditularkan ke manusia secara tidak langsung melalui hospes keong perantara schistosomiasis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis tikus dan tingkat infestasi cacing S. japonicum pada tikus di daerah endemis schistosomiasis Napu, khususnya di Desa Dodolo dan Kaduwaa, Kabupaten Poso, Sulawesi Tengah. Penelitian ini merupakan studi observasional yang dilakukan pada bulan Mei sampai Juni tahun 2018. Penangkapan tikus dilakukan selama tiga malam berturut-turut menggunakan 100 perangkap mati yang dipasang pada tempat yang berbeda, yaitu daerah fokus keong kebun cokelat, kebun bambu, kebun aren, kebun enau, aliran air, padang rumput, dan sawah. Jumlah total tikus yang tertangkap di Desa Dodolo adalah 15 ekor. Jenis tikus yang ditemukan yaitu Rattus argentiventer, Rattus sp., R.tanezumi, R.exulans, Maxomys muechenbroekii, dan Paruromys dominator. Jumlah tikus yang terinfestasi schistosomiasis sebanyak 7 ekor (infection rate 46,67%). Jumlah total tikus yang tertangkap di Desa Kaduwaa adalah 13 ekor dari 100 perangkap yang dipasang selama tiga malam. Jenis tikus yang ditemukan yaitu Rattus argentiventer, R.tanezumi, dan R.exulans. Jumlah tikus yang terinfestasi schistosomiasis adalah 3 ekor (infection rate 23,07%). This disease is one of the oldest and most important diseases in the world. In Indonesia, Schistosomiasis is caused by Schistosoma Japonicum Sp. This study focused on the detection of Schistosomiasis disease through identification of worm eggs found in human feces. Based on the result of the observations of the Schistosomiasis Laboratory in Kaduwaa and Dodolo Villages in North Lore Subdistrict, Poso Regency it was found the worm eggs of other species in feces of resident in Kaduwaa and Dodolo villages, namely Ascaris Lumbricoides worm eggs and Ancylostoma Duodenale worm eggs. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) methods are used to extract the egg image for the identification process, while Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) methods were used to classify the species of the egg. The identification results are influenced by image capture techniques, image cutting techniques, the pixel size in the image, smoothing parameter values, and the number of sample images that used to train and test the data. The average accuracy of worm egg images identification using PNN is 98% with using the value of smoothing parameters 0,2. This result also shows that the Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) method could be applied to identify the image of worm eggs found in human feces. \u0000 Abstrak \u0000Schistosomiasis merupakan penyakit zoonosis yang disebabkan oleh cacing darah kelas Trematoda dari genus Schistosoma yang tinggal dalam pembuluh darah vena. Penyakit ini merupakan salah satu penyakit tertua dan paling penting di dunia. Di Indonesia, Schistosomiasis disebabkan oleh cacing Schistosoma Japonicum Sp. Penelitian ini berfokus pada deteksi penyakit Schistosomiasis melalui identifikasi telur cacing yang terdapat pada feses manusia. Hasil observasi di Laboratorium Schistosomiasis desa Kaduwaa dan Desa Dodolo Kecamatan Lore Utara Kabupaten Poso memperlihatkan ditemukannya pula telur cacing dari spesies lain pada feses masyarakat desa Kaduwaa dan Desa Dodolo, yaitu telur cacing Ascaris Lumbricoides dan Ancylostoma Duodenale. Metode Principal Component Analysis (PCA) dan Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) digunakan untuk ekstraksi citra telur dalam proses identifikasi, sementara metode Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) digunakan untuk klasifikasi spesies telur. Hasil identifikasi dipengaruhi oleh teknik pengambilann citra, teknik pemotongan citra, besarnya piksel pada citra, nilai smoothing parameter, serta jumlah citra sampel yang digunakan untuk data pelatihan dan pengujian. Akurasi rata-rata identifikasi citra telur cacing menggunakan PNN tertinggi yaitu  dengan menggunakan nilai smoothing parameter . It is caused by Dengue virus infection of the genus Flavivirirus transmitted by Aedes aegypti bite. All regions in Indonesia are risky for contracting DHF because the virus and the mosquitoes have spread widely in residential housing and public places throughout Indonesia. This study used an observational analytic design with cross sectional method. The respondents were people in the Marelan District of Medan. Data on knowledge, attitudes and practices about DHF were obtained through a guided questionnaire. Data about the presence of Aedes aegypti larvae were obtained through direct observation of the environment around the respondent's houses. The chi square analysis showed that the level of knowledge about DHF was not related to the presence of larvae with a p value of 0.128 (p value> 0.05). For attitude and practice aspects indicate relationship with p values of 0.01 and 0.004 (p value< 0.05). Often the knowledge about DHF is not manifested as action to reduce the presence of mosquito larvae causing the disease in their environment. Still, guidance in intensive counseling and motivating the community about eradicating mosquito nests is very important. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia dan sering menimbulkan kejadian luar biasa dengan tingkat kematian yang tinggi. Penyakit ini disebabkan oleh infeksi virus Dengue dari genus Flavivirus yang dapat masuk ke dalam tubuh manusia melalui perantaraan nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Seluruh wilayah di Indonesia berisiko terjangkit penyakit DBD, sebab baik virus penyebab maupun nyamuk penularnya sudah tersebar luas di perumahan penduduk maupun di tempat-tempat umum di seluruh Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan disain penelitian analitik observasional dengan metode cross sectional. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat di Kecamatan Medan Marelan. Data variabel pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan mengenai DBD diperoleh melalui kuesioner secara terpimpin. Data variabel keberadaan jentik nyamuk Aedes aegypti diperoleh melalui observasi secara langsung lingkungan sekitar rumah responden. Hasil analisis chi square menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan mengenai penyakit DBD tidak berhubungan dengan keberadaan jentik dengan nilai p=0,128 (p value >0,05). Untuk aspek sikap dan tindakan menunjukkan adanya hubungan dengan nilai p masing-masing 0,01 dan 0,004 (p value <0,05). Seringkali pengetahuan mengenai DBD tidak diwujudnyatakan menjadi suatu tindakan untuk mengurangi keberadaan jentik nyamuk penyebab penyakit tersebut di lingkungan rumahnya. This study aimed to analyze population density of mosquitoes, feeding habits and resting behavior of mosquito, and identify the types of potential /specific breeding habitat of mosquito larvae in OKU Selatan regency. Mosquitoes were collected during the night for 12 hours, started at 06.00 p.m. until 06.00 a.m. by human landing, resting, and cattle landing collection methods. The indoor density of mosquitoes ranged from 0.04-3.96 mosquitoes/person/hour with the highest density of 10,7 on Cx.tritaeniorhyncus. Species of mosquitoes collected in Sukajaya Village were more diverse than in Buana Pemaca Village. There were 12 species and the most dominant species was Cx. tritaeniorhyncus (68.09%), Breeding habitats were identified in rice fields, bricks pit, puddle marsh, and flow of rice fields. \u0000Abstrak \u0000Penelitian tentang keragaman nyamuk telah dilakukan Di Desa Jagaraga Kecamatan Buana Pemaca dan Desa Sukajaya Kecamatan Buay Rawan Kabupaten OKU Selatan pada tahun 2017. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui angka kepadatan populasi nyamuk yang tertangkap, menganalisis kebiasaan mencari makan danperilaku beristirahat masing-masing spesies nyamuk yang tertangkap serta mengetahui jenis-jenis habitat perkembangbiakan potensial bagi larva nyamuk yang ada di Kabupaten OKU Selatan. Penangkapan nyamuk dilakukan selama 12 jam dimulai dari pukul 18.00 WIB malam hingga pukul 06.00 pagi, menggunakan metode human landing collection, resting collection dan penangkapan di sekitar kandang ternak. Spesies nyamuk yang tertangkap 12 spesies dan yang paling dominan yaitu Culex tritaeniorhyncus(68,9%). Kepadatan nyamuk yang menggigit per orang per jam (MHD) di dalam rumah berkisar antara 0,04-3,96 ekor/orang/jam. Kepadatan rata-rata paling tinggi pada nyamuk Cx. tritaeniorhyncus 10,7 ekor.
