The researcher conducted mini experiment of “behavior contract” and “class routine” in teaching primary students as a part of learning process in Intensive English Course (IEC) as one of non-formal English institutions. 16 students between 10 to 12 years old participated in the research. For data collection, this paper relies on participant observation, checklist, interviews and literature reviews. The researcher acted as a key instrument to observe, take note and check the lists of behavior contract agreed and signed between teacher and students with parents’ prior notice. The research has revealed that the students have shown better improvement in term of behavior and attitudes. They also exhibit better interaction and improve their English-speaking skill since all students study English. This study was qualitative descriptive approach. This study was held in SD Negeri 3 Kunduran. The population of this study was 5th grade with 39 students. The sampling was used saturation sampling technique. The data was collected using obervation, essay test, and documentation. Before the essay test was used, it was analyzed its content validity, level of difficulty, discrimination power, and reliability. Test was consist of 4 questions. The data technique was qualitative analysis with Miles and Hubermen model. This research showed that students who can worked on level 4 question were students who answered more correctly on question number 2. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam  penelitian  ini  adalah  mahasiswa  PGSD Uhamka. Sampel yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa semester 5 TA 2016/2017 sebanyak 316 mahasiswa yang dipilih dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes keterampilan proses sains dan lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains.  Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif yang mencakup persentase, nilai minimum, nilai maksimum, rata-rata dan standar deviasi. The research method was quasi experiment with Posttest-Only Control Design. Population of this research are 60 students consist of 30 from experiment class and 30 from control class. The technique sampling was saturation sampling. The data analysis using T test. Prior to hypothesis testing, there were two prerequisite tests that consist of the normality test and homogeneity test. The result of prerequisite tests showed that both classes had the normal distribution and the same variance. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri 3 Kunduran. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 3 Kunduran yang berjumlah 39 siswa. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi, tes uraian, dan dokumentasi. Tes yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dilakukan validitas isi, tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan reliabilitas. Soal yang digunakan berjumlah 4 soal. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini adalah analisis data kualitatif model Miles dan Hubermen. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mampu mengerjakan soal dengan level 4 adalah siswa yang lebih banyak menjawab benar pada soal nomor 2. Siswa yang mengerjakan soal level 3 adalah siswa yang lebih banyak menjawab benar pada soal nomor 4. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 3 orang siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMPN di pinggiran Jakarta. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kurang meleknya siswa terhadap soal-soal cerita berbasis HOT menyebabkan mereka mengalami kesulitan. Kesalahan-kesalahan yang dapat diidentifikasi diantaranya kesalahan intuitif, kesalahan berbasis algoritma, dan kesalahan berbasis pengetahuan formal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Gedong 01 Jakarta Timur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent posttest-only control group. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 60 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen 1 menggunakan pendekatan RME dan kelompok eksperimen 2 menggunakan pendekatan problem solving. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep dalam bentuk essay.Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah Uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Uji-t diperoleh thitung = 6,69 dan ttabel = 2,00 maka H0 ditolak. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif jenis quasi experiment. Sample penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest dan postest. Data yang dihasilkan dari penelitian yang berasal dari prestest dan posttest yang dianalisis menggunakan statistik dengan Uji Paired Sample T-Test. Sedangkan data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari Wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan pengamatan pada proses pembelajaran. Hasil uji komparasi dengan formula wilcoxon diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan antara aktivitas belajar sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan bahan ajar tematik berbasis kontekstual.
