The focus is on specific categories of users such as the elderly. The research methodology based on the scientific method is presented, which examines the condition of real objects on the territory of the Republic of Serbia. The aim is to provide a structured methodology for establishing the link between architecture, mechanical systems and indoor air quality, on evidence-based design principles, in order to propose guidelines for future interventions in the construction or adaptation of facilities for the elderly. Second objective of the study is to point to the relevance of contextualized interventions according to the target user groups and reinforce application of scientific evidence in contemporary building design. Namely, tailor-made solutions would be necessary in the future, and consideration towards different user needs should be framed and structured to meaningfully operationalize the design.","PeriodicalId":55740,"journal":{"name":"Industrija","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71230682","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The most accessible way for students of mechanical and software engineers to learn about autonomous vehicles is by applying algorithms and systems necessary for autonomous driving on the scaled vehicle model. These models are, as in this case, and are equipped with all systems necessary for autonomous driving, such as a four-wheel drive powertrain, a suspension system, an electrically controlled steering system, a brain-computer and a camera. The goal of projects such as this one is to make the vehicle capable of autonomous driving on a designated track, obeying regular traffic rules and signs (for example, the vehicle has to perform a full stop when it approaches the stop sign). To make this possible, it is necessary for a vehicle to \"know\" which traffic sign is nearby, i.e., traffic sign recognition is required. For this purpose, traffic sign recognition is done by an artificial neural network. The training process of the proper artificial neural network will be shown in this paper.","PeriodicalId":55740,"journal":{"name":"Industrija","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71232229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the transition of the Western Balkan region, as in the case with other Central European transition countries, must be seen as a part of the European integration process. The aim of this research is to tests whether income convergence exists between Western Balkan States and the developed European Union countries, with a comparison with New Member States. In order to test this assumption, regression analysis is used. The results did not confirm that income convergence existed from 1995 to 2019. However, the results indicate a strong impact of the Global Economic Crisis on income convergence, so it existed in the years before and after the Global Economic Crisis. Results also showed faster growth of the New Member States than the Western Balkan States.","PeriodicalId":55740,"journal":{"name":"Industrija","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71230677","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various indicators determine the efficiency of the realization of transport activities, amongst which the following hold high importance: quality of transport infrastructure (air, road, maritime, etc.), transport safety and security elements, as well as export/import procedures, etc. This paper aims to perform a comparative analysis among chosen European countries (focusing on CEE countries) concerning the level of transport management preparedness based on the previously mentioned elements. The analysis is performed by using the PROMETHEE II and entropy method. The obtained results should help determine the differences and similarities in transport management preparedness to synchronize better future national policies, strategies, and procedures concerning this issue.","PeriodicalId":55740,"journal":{"name":"Industrija","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71232275","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this paper is to identify how tax wedge indicators affect the employment level in these economies. The empirical research includes correlation analysis and panel regression to determine character and intensity of nexus among observed variables. The results of Hausman represent that a random effects model is adequate for estimating the effect of tax wedge on the employment rate in selected countries. The model results show a negative correlation between these variables, as well as, that tax wedge indicators have a negative impact on the employment rate in OECD countries for the observed period. The empirical findings manifest that a 1% increase in the average tax wedge leads to a lower employment rate of 0.33% in OECD economies.","PeriodicalId":55740,"journal":{"name":"Industrija","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71230685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to identify all possible causes for bulldozer failures and stoppages before highlighting the most significant ones. Descriptive statistics are provided, followed by a scatterplot for the dissipation diagram between hazard rate and bulldozer failure and stoppages, and histograms of hazard rate and failures and stoppages for bulldozers. Then, for three categories, a Pareto analysis was performed on failures and stoppages frequency, time spent in failures and stoppages, and failures and stoppages risk level. The Pareto analysis revealed that the most important failures and stoppages in all three categories were caused by heating repair, oil change, bulldozer cleaning, tonsil adjustment, filter replacement, hose replacement and screw replacement. The step towards \"maintenance free factories\" should include planning of identified activities in work breaks as preventive rather than corrective activities.","PeriodicalId":55740,"journal":{"name":"Industrija","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71232220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although the realization of the basic planning settings for the development of Belgrade Airport, formulated in 1972 and 1985, was accompanied by economic difficulties and changes in the dynamics and phases of realization, the strategic concept of development of this complex remained unchanged. Further development of the airport through the construction of the second runway, improvement of existing and construction of new facilities in order to increase capacity, monitor trends in air traffic development and growth of passenger and goods traffic, was confirmed through the Master Plan of Belgrade and the Plan of General Regulation of the building area of local self-government units' seats - City od Belgrade, both documents from 2016. A new planning document, the Plan of Detailed Regulation for the airport \"Nikola Tesla Belgrade\", was adopted in 2020. Vehicles are supposed to be lightweight, have low emission and energy consumption to provide some environmental protection while having appropriate stiffness and strength to assure occupant protection. These requirements can be met with the use of composite materials. Although composites have been present in the industry for decades, their use in the automotive sector is moderately new, which requires development in design and manufacturing processes, testing, and recycling - this paper indicates the details by which the automotive industry differs from others. Principal recycling methods, related legislation, and where recycling products are used are described. Specific uses of composite materials that show a high level of innovativeness are indicated - hybrid and natural composites, structural batteries, and high-performance vehicles.","PeriodicalId":55740,"journal":{"name":"Industrija","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71230367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Starting from July 1, 2009, the daily data to December 31, 2019, are conducted in our study. The GARCH-ARMA approach has been undertaken in this study. The results show that four pairs experience the unidirectional (positive) spillover effect of return. Yet, the spillover effect of volatility shows a two-way relationship (both positive and negative) between commodity markets, stock prices, and exchange rates. To conclude, both stock prices and gold are volatility's net transmitters to other markets, while the EURUSD market is some markets' net receiver of volatility.","PeriodicalId":55740,"journal":{"name":"Industrija","volume":"49 1","pages":"67-80"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71230650","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The amount of fuel consumed by mechanical refrigeration unit drive can be reduced in many ways. This paper is analysing the impact of thermal insulation quality on the fuel consumed by mechanical refrigeration unit installed on a typical van. The results of the research show that by choosing better-quality thermal insulation around € 420 can be saved annually on fuel consumed by mechanical refrigeration unit driven by vehicle's engine while transporting deeply frozen fish at -20 °C (or other foodstuffs at given temperature). If the van is transporting raw meat (for example) at 0 °C annual savings can be around € 110. When the van is used for transport of deeply frozen fish the investment will pay off after 3.5 years of vehicle exploitation, while if the raw meat is transported the investment will pay off after approximately 14 years. The analysis includes the price of insulating the van, current fuel price in Serbia, as well as the average monthly temperatures in the territory of Belgrade, Serbia.","PeriodicalId":55740,"journal":{"name":"Industrija","volume":"49 1","pages":"81-91"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71230800","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
