Abusive supervision experienced by employees, namely verbally and non-verbally. The purpose of this study is to understand the dynamics of emotional regulation in employees who experience abusive supervision. The subjects of this study were three employees who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews on the subject and references to journals, books, research results and other data provided for research. The analysis technique used is Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The findings indicated that the process of regulatory dynamics carried out by the three research subjects included 3 (three) phases, namely the assessment phase, the emotional experience phase, and the behavioral response phase. The individual's tendency to develop and comply with standards despite experiencing abusive supervision can be an indication that the individual has good emotional regulation dynamics, while the individual's tendency to be passive is an indication of obstacles in the dynamics of emotional regulation.","PeriodicalId":55655,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Psikologi","volume":"107 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78998447","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research method is a meta-analysis based on the PRISMA-P 2020 procedure. This research involved 7 previous experimental studies that used virtual reality therapy as an intervention in reducing social anxiety disorder. The result of this study is that the virtual reality therapy method has a large effect size in reducing individual social anxiety disorder. Virtual reality therapy should be combined with other interventions such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) or mindfulness-based warm-ups and individuals are encouraged to do self-reflection to reduce the level of social anxiety disorder they experience.","PeriodicalId":55655,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Psikologi","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84282047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This also applies to millennial employees. Some of the things that are thought to affect resilience in the workplace are social capital and emotion regulation. The purpose of this study was to empirically measure the effect of social capital and emotional regulation on workplace resilience in millennial employees. The participants in this study were 184 millennial employees aged 26 to 41 years who work in Greater Jakarta. The measuring tool used is the resilience at work scale of Winwood (2013), the social capital scale from Wang et al. (2013), and the emotion regulation scale from Radde et al. (2021). Correlation matrix and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. The results of this study show that social capital and emotional regulation jointly affect workplace resilience in millennial employees. Other findings also reveal that the magnitude of the influence of emotion regulation on resilience in the workplace is greater than social capital.","PeriodicalId":55655,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Psikologi","volume":"171 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79410278","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to determine the role of job boredom in mediating the effect of job demands on cyberloafing. Data were collected through online questionnaires to measure cyberloafing, job boredom and job demands from 116 participants who work as administrative staff. Data processing was carried out through regression techniques. The results showed that job demands had a significant effect on cyberloafing (β = 0.427, p = 0.000). After entering job boredom as a mediator, the results showed that the effect of job demands on cyberloafing decreased (β = 0.251, p = 0.004). These results indicate that job boredom can mediate (partially) the effect of job demands on cyberloafing. So, the effect of job demands on cyberloafing is even greater when those demands lead to work boredom. The correlation between demographic data and research variables show that position, working hours and length of using internet have a positive correlation with job demands; age, tenure, and working hours have a negative correlation with job boredom; age and tenure are negatively correlated with cyberloafing.","PeriodicalId":55655,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Psikologi","volume":"26 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82000921","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the indicators of mental health is the presence of psychological well-being. Parents who have children with special needs need to have high psychological well-being. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of conscientiousness and gratitude on psychological well-being on parents of children with special needs. This research is a quantitative study using Ryff's psychological well-being scales, Gratitude Questionnaire-6 (GQ-6), and conscientiousness taken from the HEXACO-PI-R scale. The subjects in this study were selected using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 55 parents who have children with special needs. The hypotheses were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that conscientiousness and gratitude have a simultaneous effect of 62% on psychological well-being in parents who have children with special needs. However, among the conscientiousness variables and the gratitude variable which has the most dominant influence on psychological well-being is the gratitude variable.","PeriodicalId":55655,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Psikologi","volume":"38 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78357592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even so, research results show that it is still rare to find academic grit in a person. Academic hope is a positive psychological variable that has many benefits to positive educational variables and has been proven to be able to predict academic grit. This study tries to look back at the ability of academic hope to academic grit in middle school students. The participants used in this study were 194 students of SMK-SMAK Makassar. There were two instruments distributed to SMK-SMAK Makassar students, namely the academic hope scale and the academic grit scale which were distributed to research respondents. Tests on the data collected show that academic expectations can provide significant academic grit and make a large effective contribution. There are two aspects of academic expectations, namely pathway and agency. Path analysis as an additional analysis to see the predictive ability of each aspect of academic expectations shows that the path makes a large effective contribution, while the agency makes a small effective contribution. These results show the balance of academic expectations of one's academic grit.","PeriodicalId":55655,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Psikologi","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83512740","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This causes changes in learning activities, thus requiring special teaching methods. Teachers are required to be creative in conveying material through online (online) learning media. Likewise, teachers and students who initially studied face-to-face are now forced to study from home online. This can cause teachers to feel pressured. Gratitude and social support received (perceived social support) can help teachers overcome the problems they face. This study aims to determine the role of teacher gratitude and teacher perceived social support for teacher subjective well-being during a pandemic. This research was conducted using an electronic questionnaire aimed at 202 teachers who teach at secondary level schools with an age range of 20-46 years. The measurement tools used are the Gratitude Questionnaire Revised-Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (R-MSPSS), and the Teacher Subjective Well-Being Questionnaire (TSWQ). As a result of the study, gratitude has a significant role in the teacher’s subjective well variable, as well as perceived social support. The role of the PSS dimension in the TSWQ variable is only seen in the family dimension which has a positive and significant value. Perceived social support and gratitude have a positive and significant role in teacher subjective well-being. The higher the value of perceived social support and gratitude, the higher the subjective well-being.","PeriodicalId":55655,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Psikologi","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86222492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, this study aims to assess the mental health of bank employees and its correlation with dimensions of work motivation. This online cross-sectional study measured 403 participants using the DASS-21 and the MWMS scale. Participants who experienced depression, anxiety, and stress at the moderate to extremely severe level were 32.51%, 63.77%, and 7.94%. Furthermore, there are no differences in depression, anxiety, and stress on all demographic variables, except for the job position characteristics, which are significantly different on the anxiety scale. The correlation analysis results show that depression is negatively correlated with introjected regulation, identified regulation, and intrinsic motivation, whereas depression is positively correlated with the amotivation dimension; anxiety has a negative correlation with extrinsic regulation-material, introjected regulation, identified regulation, and intrinsic motivation; then stress is negatively correlated with the five dimensions including extrinsic regulation-social, extrinsic regulation-material, introjected regulation, identified regulation, and intrinsic motivation. These findings suggest that banks in Indonesia should provide mental health interventions for employees.","PeriodicalId":55655,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Psikologi","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74520153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This makes it thought that single mothers need to have the ability to survive and have the quality to bounce back during the condition by regulated emotions. The study aims to explore the influence of emotion regulation, specifically cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression strategies, in helping single mothers increase resilience. The study used quantitative research methods, with the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale 25 items. The results found that there was a significant influence between both emotional regulation strategies on single mother resilience, with cognitive reappraisal strategies exerting a greater influence. Single mothers need to practice expressive suppression emotion regulation strategy skills, so that single mother resilience can be more optimal when single mothers are able to apply each emotional regulation strategy adaptively to their difficult conditions.","PeriodicalId":55655,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Psikologi","volume":"43 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76085838","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
