The present work focuses on the fabrication of glass fiber and multifilament discarded fishnet nylon fiber polymer composites with four different fiber compositions. Composites are molded by means of simple hand lay-up methodology with dissimilar layers of the fiber mat. The mechanical characterization (tensile and impact) and thermal analysis of composites have to be investigated. Among the different patterns, hybrid composites reflected better tensile and impact properties as compared to the conventional materials. Morphological characterization was carried out to figure out the de-bonding of fiber/matrix adhesion characteristics of fractured face of tensile testing samples. This paper deals with research on the magnetic bearing control systems for a high-speed rotating machine. Theoretical and experimental characteristics of the control systems with the model algorithmic control (MAC) algorithm and the proportional-derivative (PD) algo - rithm are presented. The MAC algorithm is the non-parametric predictive control method that uses an impulse response model. A laboratory model of the rotor-bearing unit under study consists of two active radial magnetic bearings and one active axial (thrust) magnetic bearing. The control system of the rotor position in air gaps consists of the fast prototyping control unit with a signal processor, the input and output modules, power amplifiers, contactless eddy current sensors and the host PC with dedicated software. Rotor displacement and control current signals were registered during investigations using a data acquisition (DAQ) system. In addition, measurements were performed for various rotor speeds, control algorithms and disturbance signals generated by the control system. The publication reflects the current situation concerning the possibilities of using augmented reality (AR) technology in the field of production technologies with the main intention of creating a tool to increase production efficiency. It is a set of individual steps that respond in a targeted manner to the possible need for assisted service intervention on a specific device. The publication chronologically describes the procedure required for the preparation and processing of a CAD model. For this preparatory process, the PTC software package is used which meets the requirements for each of the individual operations. The first step is the routine preparation of CAD models and assemblies. These are prepared based on real models located on the device, and their shape and dimensions correlate with the dimensions of the model on the device. The second phase is the creation and timing of the disassembly sequence. This will provide the model with complete vector data, which is then paired with the CAD models in AR. This phase is one of the most important. It determines the location of the model concerning its relative position on the device, provides information on the relocation of parts of the model after the sequence is started, and essentially serves as a template for the interactive part of the sequence. The last two phases are used to connect CAD models with vector data, determine their position for the position mark, and prepare the user interface displayed on the output device. To achieve these objectives, easy-to-apply numerical tests can help in finding the best method of topological optimization for practical industrial applications. In this paper, several numerical benchmarks are proposed. The numerical benchmarks facilitate qualitative comparison with analytical examples and quantitative comparison with the presented numerical solutions. Moreover, an example of a comparison of two optimization algorithms was performed. That was a commonly used SIMP algorithm and a new version of the CCSA hybrid algorithm of topology optimization. Furthermore, doping with Zr and Nb causes the microstructure refinement of the RE-Fe-B magnets and, thus, can enhance the magnetic properties of the annealed specimens [8‒10]. As was reported in [7], the appropriate setting of the composition for the Fe67Co9.4Nd3.1Dy0.5B20 alloy led to an improvement of the GFA that allowed processing of the fully glassy rods with diameters up to 0.5 mm. A further change of composition and addition of Zr facilitated casting 1-mm diameter amorphous rods and up to 3-mm outer diameter tubes for the Fe61Co13.5Zr1Pr3.5Dy1B20 alloy [11]. However, a small amount of RE elements in the chemical composition caused the formation of a relatively low fraction of the RE2Fe14B phase. For this reason, such magnets reveal rather moderate magnetic parameters [12]. We have shown in our previous studies on rapidly solidified plates of various thicknesses produced for Pr9Fe50 + xCo13Zr1Nb4B23 – x (x = 0, 2, 5, 8) alloys that boron content greatly influences the GFA. In the case of the Pr9Fe50Co13Zr1Nb4B23 alloy, the 0.5-mm thick plates were fully amorphous while 1-mm plates were slightly crystalline and only one very low-intensity diffraction peak was detected [6, 13]. However, for alloys of lower B content, the suction cast plates were all crystalline in as-cast state. Furthermore, the critical cooling rate attainable for specific production equipment depends on the sample geometry [14]. The changes in the microstructure and magnetic properties with the sample shape were shown for the Pr9Fe52Co13Zr1Nb4B21 alloy [15]. The aim of the present work was to study the influence of the Fe to B ratio on the GFA as well as on the phase constitution, microstructure, and magnetic properties of the 1-mm diameter rods of Pr9Fe50 + xCo13Zr1Nb4B23 – x (x = 0, 5, 8) alloys in the as-cast state and those subjected to annealing. However, this algorithm has not been exploited sufficiently. This research paper proposes a novel method to analyze the exploration and exploitation of ABC. In ABC, the scout bee searches for a source of random food for exploitation. Along with random search, the scout bee is guided by a modified genetic algorithm approach to locate a food source with a high nectar value. The proposed algorithm is applied for the design of a nonlinear controller for a continuously stirred tank reactor (CSTR). The statistical analysis of the results confirms that the proposed modified hybrid artificial bee colony (HMABC) achieves consistently better performance than the traditional ABC algorithm. The results are compared with conventional ABC and nonlinear PID (NLPID) to show the superiority of the proposed algorithm. Most types of disturbances present into PMSM drive were discussed and described. The mathematical model of the plant is presented. Detailed information about the design process of the disturbance estimator was introduced. A state feedback controller (SFC) with feedforward realizes the regulation and disturbance compensation. The theoretical analysis was supported by experimental tests on the laboratory stand. Both timeand frequency-domain analysis of the estimation results and angular velocity were performed. A convolutional neural network (CNN), trained with a Stochastic Gradient Descent with Momentum method is used. This kind of deep-trained neural network allows to significantly accelerate the diagnostic process compared to the traditional methods based on the Fast Fourier Transform as well as it does not require stationary operating conditions. To assess the effectiveness of the applied CNN-based detectors, the tests were carried out for variable load conditions and different values of the supply voltage frequency. Those techniques are necessary to protect our natural environment and save non-renewable resources. This paper presents the concept of an electrostatic separator designed as a test bench dedicated to the separation of mixed plastic waste from the automotive industry. According to the current policy of the European Union on the recycling process of the automotive industry, all these waste materials must be recycled further for re-entering into the life cycle (according to the circular economy). In this paper, the proposed concept and design of the test bench were offered the feasibility to conduct research and technological tests of the electrostatic separation process of mixed plastics. The designed test bench facilitated assessing the impact of positions of high-voltage electrodes, the value and polarity of the high voltage, the variable speed of feeders and drums, and also triboelectrification parameters (like time and intensity) on the process, among others. A specialized computer vision system has been proposed and developed to enable quick and reliable evaluation of the impact of process parameters on the efficiency of electrostatic separation. The preliminary results of the conducted tests indicated that the proposed innovative design of the research stand ensures high research potential, thanks to the high accuracy of mixed plastics in a short time. The results showed the significant impact of the corona electrode position and the value of the applied voltage on the separation process effectiveness. It can be concluded that the results confirmed the ability to determine optimally the values of the studied parameters, in terms of plastic separation effectiveness.
