When studying these complex systems, the traditional tools of the Cartesian methods have shown their limits. There is therefore a need to resort to other methods to model them. These modeling methods are generally classified and grouped into five families: functional modeling, decision modeling, resource modeling, information modeling and mixed modeling. This review provides an overview of the state of the art of an intelligent network. The classification of modeling methods is also presented. Then an application of the bond graph approach will be explained. Finally we describe a general idea on the management of smart grids.","PeriodicalId":54124,"journal":{"name":"Independent Journal of Management & Production","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2021-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44608011","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Enterprises can only meet the generational intention of founders when they are properly managed exemplified by sustainable performance. Business failures in recent history refocused attention towards good enterprise risk management to promote organizational sustainability. Sustainability implies meeting the needs of the present generation without compromising the needs of the future generations, and this cannot happen in an environment drenched in weak enterprise risk management. Corporate governance perspective suggests that the BODs of a company has the ultimate responsibility to establish effective risk management framework for the healthy performance and sustainability of the enterprise. Therefore, a major concern of the BODs is to diversify away risks and to create a stable average to enhance organizational performance. Management decision making as an integral part of modern management aims at both enterprise risk minimization and the optimal achievement of organizational goals and sustainability. The exploratory research design was used for the study. Data generated and analyzed through statistical techniques, showed strong positive relationship between enterprise risk management and organizational sustainability. Because of limitations in terms of current literature, the study was not exhaustive; therefore, further study should examine the relationship between weak risk management and enterprise failure. It was recommended that complex organizations must establish good corporate governance structure to promote enterprise risk management and organizational sustainability.","PeriodicalId":54124,"journal":{"name":"Independent Journal of Management & Production","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2021-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42267170","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research study ranked supply chain contracts by the EAMR in uncertainty environments, such as when breaking down the health care industry. This is done by providing a theoretical framework for sustainable entrepreneurship in telecommunications industry, focusing on managerial and operational practices that should be modified, in accordance to a set of CSFs identified from experts in fertility hospital. As a novel strategy, in this research, the initial factors of selecting customized Supply Chain Management (SCM) were extracted via a Delphi method along with the EAMR to symbolize a decision matrix that needs primary weights acquired through the SWARA method by hesitant fuzzy number. CSFs for achieving SCM contract selection in fertility hospitals were found to rely on a tripod based on effectiveness, transparency, and accountability that are embedded within the ambit of managerial and operational practices, such as focusing and reducing cost and based on these factors the best SCM contract must be selected. Besides, the EAMR method has more reliability than other similar MCDM methods such as TOPSIS, MOORA, VIKOR, and so on main contribution of this paper is the combination of SWARA, EAMR, and using hesitant fuzzy set in the EAMR","PeriodicalId":54124,"journal":{"name":"Independent Journal of Management & Production","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2021-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41463303","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The states of Minas Gerais and Parana are protagonists in the milk production business in the country. The objective of this study was to evaluate the differences and similarities of the milk production chain in these two states, considering the period from 2008 to 2017, in order to investigate their dynamics and their competitiveness. The methodological approach adopted in the research was of a quantitative nature, with the use of the software “Statistical Package for the Social Sciences” (SPSS), which allowed the analysis to be carried out with the statistical techniques of analysis of variance (Anova) and cluster analysis. Ward’s agglomerative method and discriminant analysis were also adopted. The state of Minas Gerais presented a superior milk production chain in comparison with Parana in every year analyzed; however, statistically there was no significant difference in the milk production from 2009 to 2017. Parana presented better milk productivity averages as compared to Minas Gerais; it was highly significant (1%) from 2008 to 2016 and significant (5%) in 2017. The results of the cluster analysis indicated that, due to the fact that Parana has higher productivity indexes in relation to Minas Gerais, its limits are better in relation to Minas Gerais in the analyzed aspects. It was found that some municipalities that are considered to have high productivity in Minas Gerais do not enter this same group in Parana. It can be said that Parana was shown to be more efficient in the milk production chain as compared to Minas Gerais in the analyzed time period. The article indicates the need to improve the technology used in the milk production chain, so that the numbers related to productivity can be improved. In addition, it was found that it is necessary to invest in genetics and technical assistance so that milk producers in the states surveyed can become more competitive.","PeriodicalId":54124,"journal":{"name":"Independent Journal of Management & Production","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2021-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41288198","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The findings bring useful information for companies who are interesting in starting up or to continuous in this type of business and help them to develop appropriated strategy taking advantage of the best opportunities in this new market scenario. The theoretical frame supported two analysis fronts: Factors that motivate consumers inside sharing economy and barriers that bring difficulty to the transactions. As motivational factors, ideological and financial questions were tested. As barriers were studied questions such as legal, technological, social and marketing. The study was supported by a quantitative research conducted in order to test hypothesis about consumer behavior in this kind of business. Around 140 people has answered the survey. The results allow inferring that collaborative consumption, is not a Brazilian behavior yet, but it is a trend and questions involving financial benefits are the ones which most influence the consumers.","PeriodicalId":54124,"journal":{"name":"Independent Journal of Management & Production","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2021-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48933468","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
