Multifunctional farms are able to internalize some public value and transfer this value in their food produced as to increase income. As such, agritourism can be considered a pure form of SFSC in creating this added value. Using a case study of an Italian farm that produces both typical and fine wines, we aimed to analyze how agritourism creates added value. The SFSC and other opportunities were compared. From a multifunctional perspective, our other purpose was to identify the main drivers able to generate the “value port-folio” for the agritourist farmer. The results suggest that wide margins for creating value exist for on-farm distribution and that many aspects contribute to building the farmer’s “value portfolio”.","PeriodicalId":53999,"journal":{"name":"Aestimum","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.13128/AESTIM-8149","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47198289","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, Airbnb influences urban space, production through physical impacts and the tendency to mystify places, appealing to authenticity and experiential tourism. New images of reality, mediated by the platform, constitute the symbolic production of the city's tourist palatability, which is intertwined with new uses and the exasperation of the consumption of a part of the cultural heritage. The research aims to structure a hybrid methodological approach combining investigation and assessment for identifying and understanding the impacts of touristification and over-tourism on the urban dimension and develop intervention strategies consistent with the Circular Economy perspective. Cities, as complex dynamic and adaptive systems, are able of \u0000self-organization/self-management. There are many causes of the decline of cities today (poverty, unemployment, etc.) that interdepend on the others in continuous retroactive processes. The general proposal of this paper refers to a key word: “regeneration” as revitalization of the activities in the perspective of the circular economy/city. The aim is to explore how an urban circular economy can be implemented through a cultural landscape-based approach, analysing the case study of Matera (Italy) and assuming the interdependence between a specific landscape and the circular economy/city models. The aim is to understand how to transform a millennial experience of underdevelopment into a dynamic development perspective.","PeriodicalId":53999,"journal":{"name":"Aestimum","volume":"1 1","pages":"5-42"},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2019-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.13128/AESTIM-7007","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43893223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A 16-years’ time series is considered (2001-2016) with regard to the Tavoliere delle Puglie agricultural district. Drought events occurred in the period of interest have caused economic impacts in terms of gross product and irrigation costs, with losses reaching 30% compared to years with regular water availability. These preliminary results calls for a wider drought management plan in which also economic instruments are included with the aim of minimizing economic impacts of irrigation water shortage.","PeriodicalId":53999,"journal":{"name":"Aestimum","volume":"1 1","pages":"101-114"},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2019-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44430583","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite its importance, there is a very limited number of studies focusing on European context and a little concordance between the drivers affecting the farmland value and growth. Attempting to reduce the gap, this study investigates the determinants of farmland prices from 2000 to 2010 by exploring and comparing Italy and Germany that are interesting because of their similarity with respect to the outlined dichotomy between urbanized and farming counties/provinces. The comparison across models allows to discuss the cross-cutting and country-specific drivers affecting farmland value and the implication of these findings on agricultural policies recommendations.","PeriodicalId":53999,"journal":{"name":"Aestimum","volume":"1 1","pages":"77-99"},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2019-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.13128/AESTIM-7381","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47459118","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study considers two in particular: the demolition and reconstruction of obsolete buildings and the reuse of existing assets. The research examines the feasibility conditions of the two strategies, highlighting the aspects that favour the processes of demolition and reconstruction over reuse with a theoretical model that holds together spatial and economic variables. The model is tested in three Italian cities of different size. The results show that demolition and reconstruction is an option that can only be pursued under favourable settlement and market conditions, forcing small and medium-sized cities to focus on strategies for retrofitting existing buildings.","PeriodicalId":53999,"journal":{"name":"Aestimum","volume":"1 1","pages":"129-146"},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2019-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.13128/AESTIM-7384","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45330049","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
