These networks exhibit high-impact technological innovations, such as cloud computing, mobility, new traffic profiles, network functions virtualization (NFV), the Internet of things (IoT), Big Data, among others. Network automation is a methodology in which physical and virtual network devices are automatically configured, provisioned, managed, and tested using software. Large enterprises such as Cisco, Juniper, Red Hat, and VMWare offer proprietary solutions for network automation. Additionally, the number of tools assisting in network automation has recently increased. Taken together, these developments have changed the way administrators build and manage networks. In this regard, most large communications operators are now working and moving toward truly autonomous networks that will eventually require an intensive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Advances in the area show that three specific segments —CSPs, Cloud Providers, and Enterprises— are all at different stages of automation maturity. Over time, network automation is expected to reach smaller organizations as well. Empty seashells are often found washed up on beaches by beachcombers. This marine by-product can be used to partial replacement of coarse aggregate or cement in concrete. This paper describes the use of seashell powder and aggregate in the concrete for the replacement of cement and coarse aggregate. The effect of seashell waste in the concrete was studied in terms of its compressive strength, tensile strength and flexural strength after 28, 56 and 90 days of curing. The replacement of cement by seashell powder were 10%, 20% and 30% and replacement of coarse aggregate by seashell aggregate are 5%, 10% and 15%. The properties of seashell concrete were compared with control mix specimen of M25 grade of concrete. Also, it has been tried to predict the strength of the seashell concrete utilizing adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). The prediction of strength with the tool was agreeable with the experimental strength with the minimal error of less than 5%. Ante ello, la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo ofrecer una revisión sistemática de literatura sobre la influencia de las cenizas de cascarilla de arroz (CCA) como reemplazo parcial del cemento utilizado para la elaboración del concreto durante los años 2007-2022. En esta revisión de literatura se utilizaron 40 fuentes debidamente seleccionadas con rugosidad académica y científica obtenidas de bases de datos confiables; por lo que se ordenaron según las propiedades intervenidas y sus respectivos resultados, la relación agua/cemento+CCA y el comportamiento del concreto al aumentar el porcentaje de las CCA. En el análisis de la resistencia a la compresión y tracción, se obtuvo que la proporción adecuada de reemplazo es de 15% con una relación agua:cemento+CCA al 0.50, la cual fue añadida de forma molida y sin elementos puzolánicos extra. En torno a la trabajabilidad, la proporción de reemplazo continúa en ese mismo rango (5%-15%), controlando a su vez el descenso del valor del slump con un adecuado uso de aditivos superplastificantes y una correcta granulometría del agregado. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo aplicar el método Pavement Condition Index (PCI) para determinar la condición técnica superficial de un pavimento flexible. El área de estudió fue la av. Chiclayo, conformada por 3 vías, siendo de interés las dos laterales, pavimentadas con material asfáltico. Se inventariaron 343 fallas a lo largo de los 6.30 km de la calzada con dirección Este a Oeste (av. Agricultura - Panamericana Norte), mientras que para la otra calzada en dirección Oeste a Este (Panamericana Norte - av. Agricultura), se evaluaron 324 unidades de muestreo, presentándose en mayor cantidad las fallas de “desprendimiento de agregados (falla superficial)” y la de “ahuellamiento (falla estructural)”. Respecto a la condición de servicio, el pavimento en la dirección Este a Oeste presentó un PCI de 38, lo que lo calificó en una condición de servicio “malo”, similar a la calzada de sentido contrario para la que se obtuvo un PCI de 23, es decir presentó una condición de servicio “muy malo”. Fiber length of 10 mm, 20 mm and 30 mm were added to the concrete mix at an amount of 3% of the binder content. Three different lengths of fibers at fixed volume fraction were added to M30, M40 and M50 grades of concrete. The workability characteristics and mechanical property of twelve different fiber reinforced concrete mixes were investigated. The effect of fibers on the post cracking behaviour of the concrete specimen was investigated using digital image processing technique and video measuring system images. Using the developed Linear regression plot, empirical equations were formulated to establish relation between the compressive strength and other mechanical properties of concrete. From the study it can be concluded that the caryota fiber with rich cellulose content contribute to arrest the cracks at the initial stage of loading and prevents major crack plane in the post peak region. Fibers mainly contribute to increase tensile strength of concrete. The effect of fibers is more prominent in M30 mix concrete when compared to M40 and M50 concrete mixes. The dynamic model of the ankle flexion/extension is obtained through Euler-Lagrange formulation and is built in Simulink of MATLAB using the non-linear differential equation derived from the dynamic analysis. An angular displacement feedback PID controller, representing the human neuromusculoskeletal control, is implemented in the dynamic model to estimate the joint torque required during ankle movements. Simulations are carried out in the model for the ankle flexion/extension range of motion (ROM), and the results are used to select the most suitable actuators for the exoskeleton. The ankle rehabilitation exoskeleton is designed in SolidWorks CAD software, built through 3D printing in polylactic acid (PLA), powered by two on-board servomotors that deliver together a maximum continuous torque of 22 [kg cm], and controlled by an Arduino board that establishes Bluetooth communication with a mobile app developed in MIT App Inventor for programming the parameters of the rehabilitation therapies. Estos sistemas constituyen la vía para distribuir vastas cantidades de energía eléctrica desde los centros de generación eléctrica hacia los distintos sectores de consumo. La planeación de la expansión de los sistemas de generación y transmisión tiene una gran representatividad, por lo que atender la respuesta de la demanda y su crecimiento es el desafío de las empresas dedicadas a este giro de negocio. En este trabajo, se realiza la planeación de la expansión del sistema de generación y transmisión en un sistema eléctrico de prueba mediante dos fases. En primera instancia, se desarrolla un algoritmo que permita construir tablas de probabilidad de pérdida de capacidad y utilizar criterios de confiabilidad para determinar los nuevos proyectos de generación necesarios para cubrir la demanda y tener la reserva necesaria al año horizonte de planificación. En este proyecto de investigación se realizó una búsqueda de trabajos asociados a la temática, se analizaron las técnicas utilizadas y los resultados obtenidos, de manera que se recolectó el material necesario y mediante ensayos de laboratorio se fabricaron cilindros de concreto con distintas sustituciones de los agregados gruesos por residuos plásticos (PET); con el fin de comparar las resistencias y costos de los moldes de concreto celular y con residuos plásticos; y así determinar la viabilidad de los agregados de plásticos en el concreto celular. En cada una de las proporciones de residuos plásticos utilizados se observó una disminución del peso y menor costo, sin embargo, ninguno logró superar la resistencia mínima, comparada con un cilindro convencional, al ser sometido a las pruebas de compresión, siendo el tamaño de los residuos la mayor problemática para obtener buenos resultados. {"title":"Compressive strength prediction for glass aggregates incorporated concrete, using neural network and reviews","authors":"C. Henceforth, there is need to upscale the use of alternative materials, including those from waste streams, in concrete. This research aims at developing a suitable predictive model of concrete having partial or 100% glass aggregates. 50 datasets reviewed from 9 sources were adopted and artificial neural network (ANN) models were developed in GNU Octave. The trial models had 7 input variables and 1 output variable (compressive strength) and 1 hidden layer. The selected model, having 24 nodes in the hidden layer and 90.000 iterations, indicated overall root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute errors (MAE), mean absolute percentage errors (MAPE) and absolute factor of variance (R2) of 2.679 MPa, 1.422 MPa, 6.951% and 0.996 respectively. The glass fine aggregates between >40% and 50% indicated just over 11% average strengths from the controls. Generally, RMSE, MAE, MAPE and R2 values showed that the selected model had a good accuracy level and good generalization, particularly considering that the datasets were not from the same experimental program. In order to choose the most decisive frameworks for the construction of the article, three (3) inclusion criteria and five (5) exclusion criteria were proposed, which helped the authors to make a more specific and effective choice process, thus obtaining nine (9) reference frameworks that met the criteria proposed. In this way, the strengths and weaknesses of each chosen framework were identified, which led to the analysis of the strategic axes determining the most frequent that the authors of these raised within their proposal, allowing the construction of a proposal based on the most relevant axes considered to identify the opportunities and capabilities of digital transformation in organizations of any sector, size and regardless of whether or not they belong to digital business, reaching as a result four (4) strategic axes focused on the customer. Thus framing the importance that digital transformation represents for organizations seeking to stay in the market for a long time in a profitable way and likewise the benefits that this transformation brings when applied properly in organizations.
