This study was conducted to identify the diversity of pollen used as a food source for stingless bees Trigona sp. in Sukawening Village, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency. The research method used was the extraction of pollen from honey, acetolysis, identification and calculated the percentage of pollen. The results obtained 24 types of pollen (4 species have not been identified) which belong to 19 families and the dominant source of pollen comes from herbaceous plants. The percentage of pollen collected from Trigona sp. in Sukawening Village, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency is dominated by Cocos nucifera which is 11.03% categorized as Important Minor Pollen Type (IMPT) (3-15%).","PeriodicalId":53348,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biologi Udayana","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41889400","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

B. dorsalis dan B. carambolae merupakan spesies yang mendominasi serta memiliki kisaran inang yang luas. Tanaman yang menjadi inang lalat buah sebagian besar merupakan buah komersial yang terdiri dari 12 spesies buah-buahan. Tidak ditemukan bukti yang kuat untuk menyatakan bahwa selama 10 tahun terakhir terjadi penambahan spesies lalat buah di Sumbawa Barat akibat adanya lalu lintas perdagangan buah antarpulau.","PeriodicalId":53348,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biologi Udayana","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47375955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This woven cloth is one of the local pearls of wisdom passed down from generation to generation in the Dawan Tribe, North Central Timor District. The dyeing process is an important stage in the processing of woven fabrics that use plants as dyes. This study aims to reveal the types of natural coloring plants for woven fabrics, the plant organs used, and how they are processed. The semi-structured interview method was used in focus group discussions with 38 respondents who are weavers. This study revealed that there are 17 species from 12 plant families that are used as dyes for woven fabrics of the Dawan tribe in the North Central Timor District. Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) is the most widely used plant. The part of the plant most used as a dye is the leaves, followed by rhizomes, roots, bark, fruit, and seeds. The processing of plants into dyes for woven fabrics consists of two ways, namely boiling and without boiling, each of which produces a different color with a different fixative mixture.","PeriodicalId":53348,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biologi Udayana","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135089607","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Primary screening for their antifungal activity was performed using dual culture method on nutrient agar contained 2% (w/v) of dextrose. The alteration of hyphal morphology on media and the detached chili fruit bioassay were observed. Isolate of KSMD3 was selected based on its significant performance in inhibiting the growth of the chili anthracnose pathogen, C. capsici. In addition, the KSMD3 showed low severity of disease incidence on detached chili fruit. In this study, the antioxidant cream used 3 (three) series of concentrations of the methanol extract of the skin of the plantain (Musa paradisiaca L.) fruit, namely 0.5%, 1% and 2%. The methanol extract of plantain peel was obtained by maceration method with methanol as solvent. Antioxidant cream was tested for physical quality and stability which included organoleptic test, viscosity test, pH test, homogeneity test, adhesion test, and spreadability test. The antioxidant power test was carried out using the DPPH (1,1-Diphenyl-2-Picrylhydrazyl) method using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer with a wavelength of 400-600 nm. The results of the study were further analyzed statistically using the Tukey method and one-way ANOVA. The results showed that the methanol extract of plantain peel had very strong antioxidant activity, and cream preparations could be made with various extract concentrations and the IC50 values of formula 1, formula 2 and formula 3 were 53.81 ppm, 53.29 ppm and 53.21 ppm.","PeriodicalId":53348,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biologi Udayana","volume":"11 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81389366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
