The other aim is to identify the obstacles experienced by the teacher in developing the students’ analytical thinking skill during learning process. The study used case study design. The study was held on odd semester of academic year 2017/2018. The samples were XI IPA5, XI IPA6, dan XI IPA7. The datas in this research are the data of learning implementation, students’ analytical thinking skill, and the teacher’s obstacles during the learning. The data of learning implementation was obtained from observation sheets. The data of students’ analytical thinking skill was obtained from observation and test. The data of challenge which was experienced by teacher and students’ response were obtained from teacher and students’ questionnaire. The data of learning implementation is analyzed by measuring the percentage of learning process implementation. Based on that percentage, the implementation of learning held by teacher can be categorized into very well, well, and dissatisfactory. The data of analytical thinking skill was analyzed by calculate the score of analytical thinking skill test. Based on that score, students were grouped into 3 categories; high, medium, and low. The data of teacher and student responses were analyzed by calculating the score percentage of teacher and students questionaires. The result of study showed that students’ analytical thinking skill developed well through lecture method (67%), and it developed very well through discussion method (89%). Most of the students (68%) had medium analytical thinking. The teacher challenged the development of indicator of analytical thinking skill in evaluating opinion, and collecting and assessing information. According to the students, their analytical thinking skill developed well during the learning.","PeriodicalId":53330,"journal":{"name":"Unnes Journal of Biology Education","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87188176","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the use of interactive multimedia provides a good value of effectiveness in mastering the concept of students cells, compared with learning using conventional media. This is evidenced by the t test on spss obtained value t = 0.00. Based on these results the average value of the gain experimental class is greater, which is 41, compared to the average value of the gain control class, which is 32. The results of this study is indicate there are differences in learning by using interactive multimedia and learning with conventional media. Adequate visualization is needed to study better the structure and function of cells. This is the reason why we need to develop a mobile learning media. The media is an E-atlas of cell structure and function. This product is then analyzed its suitability as a learning media in SMA N 1 Kandangserang. Students of classes XI MIA 1 and XI MIA 2 academic year 2018/2019 were selected as the samples of this research using saturated sampling techniques. This is a research and development (R & D). Research shows that E-atlas is suitable as learning media. E-atlas affects the learning outcomes, where the N-gain value shows an increase with an average of 0.72 (categorized as high) with classical completeness of 83%. It is concluded that E-atlas mobile learning is suitable as a teaching learning medium for students.","PeriodicalId":53330,"journal":{"name":"Unnes Journal of Biology Education","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91168657","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the results of the study there were 46 plant species. Encyclopedia design (Ensiya) includes templates, systems coding, and finalization program. Ensiya is used to facilitate the management of plant inventories. Revision 1, carried out on the program name, label, motivation, and location of the outbox. Revision 2 of the program name; label box size; motivation box and outbox. The results of a large-scale trial, Ensiya obtained a very feasible assessment by students and received positive responses. Revision 3, program name font; picture box; motivation, and the location of the outbox. Conclusion of this study, that the plant encyclopedia (Ensiya) in the database-based adiwiyata school was successfully developed using Microsoft Visual Basic Express. The learning makes students less active in learning, so that student learning outcomes are low. This is indicated by the completeness of student learning outcomes in the two classes that are taught using varied lectures are 45% and 50% respectively. Learning about environmental change material that has been carried out has not linked the material to environmental care. One learning model that can be applied to improve learning outcomes and environmental care attitudes is problem based learning (PBL). This study aims to determine the effect of the application of PBL learning material on environmental changes to learning outcomes and environmental care attitudes. This research is a Quasi-Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study is class X MIPA 1 (experiment) and X MIPA 2 (control) which is taken using objective sampling technique. The results of the t-test show that t-count = 3.28 > t-table (df = 68) = 1.99 means that the learning outcomes of the experimental class on environmental change material are higher than the control class. The N-gain test results show that the experimental class obtains the N-gain category with high criteria, while the control class obtained the N-gain category with moderate criteria. The classical completeness of learning outcomes in the experimental class is 91.1% while the control class is 75%. PBL learning can also foster an attitude of caring for the students as indicated by the results of the environmental care questionnaire obtaining very good criteria. Based on the results of the study it is concluded that learning material changes in the environment of the PBL model had a significant effect on student learning outcomes in SMAN 1 Petarukan.","PeriodicalId":53330,"journal":{"name":"Unnes Journal of Biology Education","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75133274","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
