Phosphorus (P) is the major plant nutrient and considered one of the primary factors limiting crop yields. Rock phosphate (RP) is one of some organic P fertilizer which could increased its solubility if mixed at the initial phase of manure decomposition process. The objective of the research was to investigate the influence of some kind of organic fertilizer on production and nutrient concentration of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L) leaf as forage. A field experiment of randomized block design with 9 treatments and three replicates was done, and the treatments were T1 (RP), T2 (azolla compost), T3 (cow manure), T4 (goat manure), T5 (poultry manure), T6 (azolla+RP), T7 (cow manure+RP), T8 (goat manure+RP), T9 (poultry manure+RP). Okra leaf defoliated at 80 days after planting, and continued measured for fresh leaf production, nitrogen and phosphorus concentration. The results showed that the treatment significantly affected to the fresh leaf production, concentration of nitrogen and phosphorus. This study aimed to determine the productivity of Panicum maximum, Setaria splendida Stapf, and Pennisetum purpureum grass were given organic fertilizer and knew the best organic fertilizer for each type of grass. The study used a completely randomized design in split plot pattern. The first factor (main plot) consists of three types of grass; Panicum maximum, Setaria splendida, and Pennisetum purpureum. The second factor (sub plot / subplot) is a type of organic fertilizer; without fertilizer, manure, compost, and vermicompost. Each treatment was repeated three times so that it consisted of 36 experimental units. The results showed that the interaction between the treatment of the type of organic fertilizer with the type of grass occurred in the variable number of tillers and the dry weight of the stem. The types of compost in significant can increase the number of tillers, the number of leaves, the dry weight of the stems, the dry weight of the leaves, and the total dry weight of forage, compared to without fertilizer. The type of grass has a significant effect on all observed variables. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari kualitas dengan mempelajari daya kecambah benih dengan perbedaan waktu simpan dan perbedaan tempat penyimpan benih. Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium benih Agrostologi Balai Penelitian Ternak Ciawi-Bogor. Rancangan percobaan acak lengkap dengan perlakuan waktu penyimpanan 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 dan 11 bulan pada tempat penyimpanan yang berbeda yaitu kantang kertas semen, aluminium foil dan kotak plastik. Sebanyak 1 kg benih disimpan sesuai perlakuan di dalam suhu kamar. Kualitas benih dilakukan uji daya kecambah sebanyak 150 biji dibersihkan kemudian diletakan pada petri dish yang berisi 50 biji. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap hari selama 21 hari. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan penyimpanan semakin lama benih disimpan maka kualitas benih menurun dengan daya kecambahnya semakin rendah. Benih disimpan selama 1 bulan sampai 6 bulan daya kecambahnya 75–84% kemudian penyimpanan 7-11 bulan menurun dengan daya kecambah kurang dari 58,0%. In vitro techniques was done. The research was used a completely randomized design (CRD), with factorially pattern (2x3), the first factor was the two species of legume (Sesbania leaves and Leucaena leaves) and the second factor was the three level of the SPE index (0.4, 0.5, and 0.6), there were 6 treatment combinations and each was 4 replicates. The results showed that no interaction between legume with SPE index, but each factor was significantly effect (P<0.05) on N-NH3 of rumen fluid and MPS. The research concluded that Leucaena leaf is a legume that is better than Sesbania leaf in terms of their ability toincrease MPS. Domba merupakan ternak yang sangat populer untuk dipelihara karena mudah pemeliharaannya, modal relatif lebih rendah dibanding sapi dan mudah untuk dijual. Hasil pengamatan di Kabupaten Brebes, Kabupaten Blora dan Kabupaten Indramayu menunjukkan bahwa rumput lapang adalah jenis pakan hijauan yang biasa diberikan selain rumput “kalanjana” yang tidak dibudidaya, belum ada gerakan penghijauan pekarangan dan lahan diantara tanaman utama dengan tanaman pakan ternak yang berfungsi banyak. Terdapat kecenderungan produktivitas domba rendah dan sulit untuk mendapatkan domba dengan bobot lebih dari 40 kg. Kekurangan pakan, manajemen perkawinan yang tidak terkontrol, pemasaran dan pemotongan domba betina dibawah umur lima bulan merupakan sebagian faktor penyebabnya. Program penghijauan dengan tanaman pakan jenis leguminosa berfungsi banyak seperti Sesbania grandiflora, Leucaena, Gliricidia (turi, lamtoro, gamal) serta leguminosa herba Clitoria ternatea (kembang telang) diantara tanaman pokok (jagung, sayuran) di ladang dan pekarangan secara intensif dan optimal diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produksi hijauan, meningkatkan kualitas pakan, menambah kesuburan lahan dan pada akhirnya dapat memenuhi kebutuhan gizi domba. Perbaikan manajemen dan pengawalan teknologi menuju budidaya domba yang baik dan benar (good farming management) sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat peternak domba skala rumah tangga. Di Bali saat in iterdapat 791 unit biogas dengan volume antara 3 sampai 11m3 perunit biogas. Pemerintah Provinsi Bali mengucurkan dana 10 milya rpertahun untuk mendorong pembangunan dan pemanfaatan biogas. Limbah biogas dikenal sebagai slurry yang selanjutnya dikelola sehingga menghasilkan bioslurry. Penelitian pemanfaatan pupuk bioslurry untuk meningkatkan karakteristik tumbuhdan produksi pasture campuran telah dilaksanakan pada lahan kering di Desa Sebudi Kabupaten Karangasem Provinsi Bali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan karakteristik tumbuh tanaman antara lain tinggi tanaman, luas daun spesifik, nisbah daun dengan batang tanaman, serta meningkatnya pemberian pupuk bioslury dapat meningkatkan produksi hijauan total rumput panikum atau paspalum yang ditanam bersama legume. Berat kering oven total hijauan rumput paspalum yang ditanam bersama rumput panikum dan legume Centrocema yang dipupuk dengan pupuk bioslurry yakni masing-masing sebesar 4,75 dan 4,36 tonha-1. Pengembangan ternak sapi menjadi perhatian pemerintah sehingga berbagai kegiatan yang menunjang dilakukan di daerah tersebut. Permasalahannya adalah pakan ternak sapi belum tersedia secara kontinyu. Berdasarkan permasalahan ini maka telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengkaji sejauhmana ketersediaan pakan untuk ternak sapi. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei. Sampel penelitian adalah petani peternak yang berada di Kecamatan Sangkub. Selanjutnya dilakukan pemberdayaan petani sebanyak 10 orang melalui introduksi hijauan berkualitas. Pemberdayaan dilakukan dengan dua metode yaitu penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Hijauan pakan merupakan bahan makanan utama bagi kehidupan ternak sapi serta sebagai dasar dalam usaha pengembangannya. Peningkatan produktivitas adalah faktor penting yang harus diperhatikan, dan hal ini berkaitan dengan kontinuitas ketersediaan pakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petani memanfaatkan limbah jagung untuk pakan ternak sapi, yang kualitasnya belum diketahui mereka. Petani juga belum mengetahui tentang rumput yang diintroduksi. Pada saat tidak musim panen jagung, petani mencari rumput di lahan-lahan pertanian yang menyita waktu mereka. Introduksi hijauan pakan direspon baik oleh petani dan mereka masing-masing juga menanam di lahan sendiri. Kesimpulannya, petani belum mengetahui tentang kualitas rumput. Introduksi rumput berkualitas telah berhasil dilakukan dan sangat bermanfaat bagi petani. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan yaitu ketela pohon tanpa dipetik pucuk batang (A), ketela pohon dipetik pucuk batang setiap 2 minggu (B), ketela pohon dipetik pucuk batang setiap 3 minggu (C), dan ketela pohon dipetik pucuk batang setiap 4 minggu. Variabel yang diamati kadar HCN pada daun, isi umbi dan kulit, dan kadar pati pada daun, isi umbi dan kulit ubi ketela pohon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemetikan setiap 2, 3, dan 4 minggu terjadi penurunan kadar HCN secara nyata (P<0,05). Hal yang sama juga terjadi penurunan kadar pati pada pemetikan pucuk batang setiap 2 dan 3 minggu secara nyata (P<0,05), sedangkan pada pemetikan setiap 4 minggu tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) dibandingkan dengan ketela pohon yang tidak dipetik pucuk batangnya (kontrol). The problem is how far the supported of land resources, can increase the cattle population in Tompaso district of Minahasa regency. Based on this problems the study was applied. The aimed of the research was to know potensial development of cattle in Tompaso sub district Minahasa regency based on the availability of forages and agriculture by product. Secondary data analysis methods was used to meet the objectif of the research such as planted area used by the farmers and population of cattle in Tompaso sub district. The data was collected from extension office of agriculture , fisheries and forestry (BP3K) and agriculture service of Minahasa regency. Potensial livestock development analysis was used to find out the goal of the research. Result of this study showed the effectif forages production were 1.811,86 ton p.a. Effectif production of agriculture by product was 6.630,39 ton p.a. Maximum carrying capacity of Tompaso sub district were 4.020,11 animal unit. Capacity increase of cattle population by land resources ( KPPTR) were 1.459,65 animal unit. Roni","doi":"10.24843/pastura.2017.v06.i02.p05","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24843/pastura.2017.v06.i02.p05","url":null,"abstract":"Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui terjadi interaksi antara perlakuan jarak tanam dan dosis bio urin pada pemotongan ketiga serta, bagaimana pertumbuhan rumput dan hasil hijauan rumput Panicum maximum pada pemotongan ketiga.Percobaan ini, dirancang dengan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) faktorial, dua faktor dengan tiga ulangan. Dosis pupuk bio urin yaitu 0, 3.750 l ha-1, 7.500 l ha-1 dan 11.250 l ha-1 adalah faktor pertama, sedangkan jarak tanam 10 cm x 20 cm, 20 cm x 20 cm, 40 cm x 20 cm adalah faktor kedua. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa interaksi jarak tanam dan dosis bio urin berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap pertumbuhan rumput Panicum maximum pada variabel tinggi tanaman dan jumlah anakan. Jarak tanam dan dosis pupuk bio urin berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap hasil rumput Panicum maximum pada variabel berat kering stabel, daun, batang, bunga, nisbah daun batang dan berat kering total hijauan. Hasil berat kering hijauan yang paling baik pada jarak tanam J1 (10 cm x 20 cm) dengan dosis bio urin D2 (7.500 l ha-1) pada pemotongan ketiga.
