A reflection page as a structural element of a portfolio was implemented in students’ assessment of the covered material their feedback and evaluation of learning achievements as well as the methods applied in Legal English classes. The paper also describes the advantages of writing reflection pages and students’ attitude towards this kind of method. The conclusion is drawn that writing reflection pages gives students the opportunity to present their point of view to what they are doing, how they are learning and how they would like to learn. Students find it useful to write comprehensive reflection pages to evaluate their studies. The authors point out the advantages and disadvantages of legal texts and analyse the possibilities of their efficient application in the teaching process. At the initial stage of teaching English legalese, materials prepared specially for teaching purposes in textbooks seem to be more appropriate as they are adapted for a particular level for law students whereas in more advanced levels, authentic texts in a legal English classroom can more considerably contribute to the learning experience. Celiešienė","doi":"10.3846/CPE.2012.03","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3846/CPE.2012.03","url":null,"abstract":"Straipsnyje analizuojami kompiuterijos naujažodžiai tinklarastininkų kalboje, tiriama, kaip realioje vartosenoje prigyja oficialiai teikiami naujadarai, kompiuterijos terminai, ypac svetimybių lietuviski atitikmenys, aprasomi kompiuterijos naujažodžių įtraukimo į tekstą būdai. Tiriamoji medžiaga – informacinių technologijų tematikos tinklarasciai. Sių tinklarascių analizė leido isryskinti tam tikrus kompiuterijos naujažodžių vartojimo polinkius. Pastebėta, kad nors tinklarascių autoriai gali laisvai pasirinkti rasymo būdą, jiems neprivalu laikytis bendrinės kalbos normų ir jų kalboje gausu nenorminės leksikos, taciau esama ir kalbinės savikontrolės. Pastebimas domėjimasis kompiuterijos terminijos naujovėmis bei polinkis į savo kalbą priimti kai kuriuos teikiamus naujus lietuviskus bei skolintus kompiuterijos terminus. Vartodami naujažodžius tinklarastininkai neretai pasitelkia isskirtine grafiką ir (arba) palydi komentarais. Grafiką tinklarastininkai dažniausiai renkasi isreiksdami abejone dėl svetimžodžio vartosenos tinkamumo. The objective of the research is to evaluate conflicting behaviour of student wrestlers in the public safety faculties (PSF) at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) and Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). In the introduction of the research, conflict descriptions, types, criteria, solutions, and psychological climate factors as theorized by different authors are introduced. Survey data on student athletes is analyzed. In addition to this, psychological climate and predominant features among wrestling teams in higher education schools are assessed and emerging conflict types and solutions are determined. Žukienė","doi":"10.3846/CPE.2012.12","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3846/CPE.2012.12","url":null,"abstract":"The article discusses the development of e-mails in the 21 st century in the context of epistolography (i.e. an epistolary genre): an ever increasing amount of e-mails covers both personal relationships and social, cultural and academic communication in the academic environment. The article aims to analyse the e-mails written in the spring semester by the fourth year undergraduate students of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) and sent to the author of the article together with compulsory homework. The e-mails are analysed in terms of structural, functional and linguistic expression properties. The object of the research is 432 e-mails sent in 2010 by the fourth year undergraduate students of the VGTU Faculty of Environmental Engineering. The research results show that in terms of structure most e-mails either do not comply or only partially comply with the requirements of formal written communication. Placiąja prasme logotipas yra originalus parasymas, visuma vaizdinių elementų ir įrasų. Žodis logotipas yra kiles is graikiskų žodžių „ logos “ – žodis ir „ typos “ – atspaudas. Logotipas skiriasi nuo žymos („ Ex libris “) ar prekės ženklo. Tinkamai sukurtam logotipui būdingi tam tikri požymiai: paprastumas; turi sudominti tiksline auditoriją; ilgaamžiskumas; pageidautinas vektorinis logotipo formatas; lengvai įsimenamas; turi pasižymėti originalia idėja ir formomis. Gerai apgalvotas ir sukurtas logotipas tampa firminio stiliaus pagrindu. Pats svarbiausias dalykas yra tai, kad logotipas atspindėtų kompanijos ar įstaigos veiklą. Norint įgyvendinti meninius ir kūrybinius logotipo sumanymus, reikia tinkamai taikyti kompiuterinės grafikos technologijas ir programine įrangą. Constant de Rebecque Henri Benjamin, 1767–1830), sveicarų kilmės prancūzų mąstytojo, laikomo ne tik XIX a. prancūzų, bet ir Europos liberalizmo kūrėju, idėjos apie individą, jo laisve ir santykį su visuomene. Jo kūrybą būtų galima pavadinti konceptualiu sukilimu pries ankstyvųjų liberalų doktriną, kuri remiasi visuomenės sutarties idėja, tapatinancią valdžią ir laisve. Constanto nuomone, Didžioji Prancūzijos revoliucija įrodė tokio politinio mąstymo ribotumą ir pavojingumą pagrindinei liberalizmo sąvokai – laisvei, akivaizdžiai pademonstruodama, kad atstovavimo principai bei valdžių padalijimas gali virsti despotizmu ir tauta dėl saujelės issisokėlių gali netekti suvereniteto. Constantas, kūrybiskai perskaites antikinės visuomenės raidos ženklus ir atskleides kai kuriuos laisvės mitus, gebėjo ne tik islaisvinti ikirevoliucine liberalią mintį nuo antikinio tipo politiniam mąstymui būdingų elementų, bet ir suformuluoti pamokomas isvadas ateiciai.
