The International Labor Organization (ILO) recorded annual deaths of approximately two million workers due to fatigue-induced accidents. The authors studied the factors promoting work fatigue in workers at PT. Distribusi Energi Mandiri (DEM) using an analytic survey method. This involved the entire workers as the study population and a questionnaire as the data collection method. In our findings, the chi-square test analysis revealed that work duration (p= 0.718 ( 0.05)), age (p= 1.000 ( 0.05)), and work posture (p= 0.176 ( 0.05)) have no relationships with work fatigue, but not with workload (p= 0.003 ( 0.05)). We, therefore, suggested that the management of PT. DEM continues and maintains the ongoing work duration, but provides assistive devices to workers with excessive workloads. In addition, it is necessary to supervise them to change body positions, stretch up and rest periodically during work. We advised workers to take proper breathing and intake, along with paying attention to occupational health and safety.","PeriodicalId":52993,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Riset Kesehatan","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43972225","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One parameter of laboratory tests is hematology, for which a blood profile is used to evaluate clinical conditions and provide diagnostic information about hematological abnormalities, prognosis, and response treatment. Nowadays, accessibility to laboratory tests has been made easier with medical checkups integrated into the Occupational Health and Safety program, which a company is obliged to have to check on its employees’ health status. Our study analyzed the results of fasting blood tests on the employees of The College of Health Sciences of Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Cilacap. This College is known for the practice of Islamic and religious values, including fasting, among its employees. Taking the employees as a population and samples, the research included variables of levels of erythrocytes, leukocytes, hemoglobin, and hematocrit in the descriptive analysis method. We gained eleven respondents, 8 males, and 3 females, and used a cluster sampling method with appropriate criteria. The data of obtained samples were analyzed and processed based on the interpretation of the results. The results of routine blood examinations on fasting showed 90.90% normal hemoglobin levels and 72.70% normal hematocrit levels. Conclusively, our results of the blood profile examination on hemoglobin and hematocrit in fasting people showed that fasting is metabolically healthy and produces no indication of anemia.","PeriodicalId":52993,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Riset Kesehatan","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41477122","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there are challenges associated with refusing or postponing vaccination due to skepticism regarding the efficacy and safety of vaccines, particularly among pregnant women. The risk factors of pregnant women tend to make this vulnerable group reluctant to uptake the vaccines. Motivation influences personal hesitancy in deciding, especially regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. Therefore, this study investigated the correlation between motivation and hesitancy related to COVID-19 vaccines in expectant mothers at the Bening Nawangsari Midwife Clinic, Bekasi City. In this cross-sectional study, as many as 301 pregnant mothers were chosen using the consecutive sampling method. The Motivations of Vaccination Questionnaire and The Reasons for Hesitation Questionnaire were employed when collecting the data. After calculating the data with the Chi-Square test, a significant relationship between motivation and vaccine hesitancy was revealed (p-value= 0.001). It was concluded that there was a significant relationship between expectant mothers' motivation and hesitation to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.","PeriodicalId":52993,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Riset Kesehatan","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49566587","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An unhealthy diet and insufficient physical activity have been contributing to the rapid increase in obesity prevalence. This study aims at determining the differences in the risk of degenerative diseases based on energy consumption and exercise habits of City Disaster Management Board/DMB members, especially in Denpasar City. This research is an observational study, targeting all members of Denpasar DMB as a population. Samples were taken purposively with a total of 126 people. The risk difference was tested using chi-square, and the estimated risk of degenerative diseases was analyzed using the Mantel-Haentzel odds ratio. The risk of degenerative diseases based on energy consumption shows a significant risk only in the group of people who did not have exercise habits (Q-suare=4.53; p=0.03), with an estimated risk that is also significant (OR=2.48; 95% CI= 1.07 - 5.74). The estimated risk results indicated that exercise habit is a potential confounding variable in the risk of degenerative diseases based on energy consumption. Lowering energy consumption is not effective enough to prevent the increase of degenerative disease risk, and prevention of new risks of degenerative diseases must include regular exercise.","PeriodicalId":52993,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Riset Kesehatan","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46009088","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In 2021, the prevalence of depression among the people was estimated to be about 20% due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The use of social media can be a trigger for depression and anxiety, especially among young people who are very closely related to social media. In addition, other factors can contribute to depression and anxiety, such as working status, age, married status, and gender. Aim of study is to find factors that influence depression and anxiety in young adults. This study used a quantitative analytic observational approach with a cross-sectional which was carried out in September-October 2022. It involved 285 young adult respondents aged 18-25 years who had lived at least 1 year in a metropolitan area (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi). This study showed that depression (66.4%) and anxiety (73.3%) are quite high in young adults. Working status is significantly associated with depression (p=0.0001) and anxiety (p=0.0001). Similarly, duration of social media use is significantly associated with depression (p<0.001) and anxiety (p=0.026). However, gender, age, and marital status are not associated with depression and anxiety.","PeriodicalId":52993,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Riset Kesehatan","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136039385","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has certain limitations that should be considered. Some of these limitations may cause discomfort or pain to the patient if not positioned correctly. Some patients may find biting down on the film holder difficult or have a strong gag reflex, making the procedure uncomfortable or even impossible. Bitewing radiography can be costly, especially if it needs to be performed regularly, which may limit access to this diagnostic tool for some patients. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of a dental X-ray positioner with a silicone layer on the quality of radiographic images in posterior bitewing dental examinations. Using this positioner was expected to improve the precision of radiographic interpretation and subsequent patient treatment. The study used a multivariate general linear model to analyze the data obtained from radiographic images using the X-ray positioner with the silicone layer and the conventional X-ray positioner. The results showed no significant difference in image quality between the two positioners, indicating that adding the silicone layer did not significantly improve image quality. However, using any X-ray positioner is still beneficial in ensuring accurate radiographic interpretation and subsequent patient treatment.","PeriodicalId":52993,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Riset Kesehatan","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48843320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
