Iodine deficiency causes growth inhibition and memory impairment in children, efficiency decrease and endocrine system diseases – in adults. Iodized salt has not been widely used in Ukraine and the increase in the laminaria prices has been constraining its consumption. Since 1972 iodine reserves of Ukraine are recorded to be found in the waters of Severo-Sivaskoye field in Azov Sea, but due to high cost of drilling the offshore wells, iodine had not been extracted from the reservoir. The growing demand of Ukraine for iodine is met by its import from the producing countries. The rate of consolidated sediments accumulation in Krukenitsk depression of the Sarmatian basin reached 1 cm/year, and its current thickness is 6 (!) km. Formation waters from wells overfilled from flow rates up to 300 m3/d. The layers of oligomictic and polymictic sandstones with carbonaceous cement thickness up to 5 m, porosity up to 26 %, permeability –10 mD and carbonate content level up to 20 % serve as reservoirs of formation waters in Sarmatian molasses. There are no records of regularities in change of iodine content in waters of Krukenitsk depression; iodine concentration in Chop-Mukachevo depression increases to the southwest from the axis of the Vihorlat-Gutin Area. Iodinated waters contain dissolved hydrocarbon gas in small volumes with a methane content of up to 92 %. The iodine resources estimated within the studied areas of 15 km2 at Krukenitsky depression and 10 km2 at Chop-Mukachevo depression, allow its profitable commercial production for more than 50 years. Waste formation waters will be disposed through available highly permeable aquifers. In order to perform iodine production feasibility evaluation, further formation water study and detailed iodine compounds analyses are needed.

It has been experimentally determined that the temperature gradient (20 °С) significantly affects the rate of mass transfer in the brines. This is probably due to convection-diffuse processes. \u0000The dynamics of processes occurring when fresh water enters the brine surface has been experimentally simulated. Analysis of these data from the point of view of formal kinetics for irreversible process allowed estimating the speed of convection-diffusion process. The rate of self-diffusion of water into saturated brine of galite (D=1,21·10-5 cm2/s) and hydrated (in tritium water) ions of Na+Cl- (D=6,62·10-6 cm2/s) were experimentally studied by the isotope method using the tritium label. According to the spatial dynamics of the half (from equilibrium) tritium concentration, the linear rate of self-diffusion of water into brine (6,56 cm/day) and diffusion of hydrated sodium chloride ions into water (1,10 cm/day) are calculated. At the same time, the change rate of position of half (from equilibrium) tritium concentration in the spatial plan is almost the same: (0,22 cm/day) and (0,23 cm/day), respectively. Mathematical models describing the dynamics of these processes have been constructed. The obtained data make it possible to calculate the rates of salts movement from the depth of the Dombrovskyi quarry to its surface. Building a three-dimensional geocellular models is an integral part of hydrocarbon reservoir management. After all, the reservoir model built to solve the main tasks of reservoir management such as: achieve the highest recovery and maximum economic effect. The modern level of software and the advances in computer processing power and graphics allows you to operate with big data, provides an opportunity for its systematization, statistical processing and detecting the basic laws between them. The availability of reliable data plays important role in the creation of a database for reservoir models. The input data for reservoir modelling of the fields, which were discovered in the 1960s, are the results of complex studies, characterized by insufficient accuracy and low quality. Lack of reliable and high-quality data brings significant uncertainty in all stages of modelling from volumetric estimation to the history match and forecasting. The necessity of using available geological and field information has led to the development of new methodological principles and approaches to reservoir modelling in conditions of limited initial information. According to the results of numerous studies, a significant number of methods have been developed, which are successfully used in the design of simulation models of hydrocarbon reservoirs of JSC “Ukrgazvydobuvannya”. Thanks to the use of new approaches to the building of 3D-models, high accuracy and reliability of the simulation results under such conditions is achieved.

Previous remedial actions including pumping of gasoline and contaminated groundwater have not provided to remove contamination completely. The monitoring data confirmed the presence of a gasoline layer in most monitoring wells. Using mathematical modelling, we imitated the operation of pumping wells to determine their optimal location. API LNAPL program was applied for calculations. In order to obtain more reliable results, soil hydraulic characteristics were specified by laboratory experiments. A pressure-saturation relation, p(Ѳ) was determined for soil samples taken from Boryspil region, and then the values of α and β parameters describing pore size and distribution were calculated using RETC program. Optimal distances were calculated between pumping wells at two contaminated sites with a gasoline layer of 0,7 and 0,5 m, respectively.

The catastrophic events in the Northern Black Sea, during the Permian-Triassic period, about 250 million years ago, allegedly occurred. Giant asteroid exploded (or just collapsed) when it entered the dense layers of the atmosphere, and its multifarious debris formed numerous circular structures on the Northern Black Sea during the fall. It has suggested that this space catastrophe is the forerunner of the famous Permian extinction of the terrestrial biota. \u0000 Graphically and descriptively, it has been proved that approximately along the Bataisk-Krasnoperekopsk-Izmail line, according to the RSD, 3 large circular structures and up to 20 small ones are decoded. It is proved – the line corresponds to the Northern suture zone, which separates the East-European platform from the Scythian epiorogenic zone. The suture area has been active for approximately 250 million years. \u0000It has been theoretically proved that it is the invasive effect of the cosmic body that is the root cause of the fault zone, which in Cimmeria evolved into the Northern suture zone. \u0000Using modern RSD made it possible to identify large circular structures of the Northern Black Sea Region. These are Azov, Bataisk and Kalamitska. \u0000Major research interest in the segments of the Azov astrobleme in the context of the oil and gas exploration work is determined. It is proved by retrospective geological information that the identifying structures have a significant depth of occurrence and here the earth’s crust should be saturated with a significant number of supply channels (decompression zones) favorable for hydrocarbon migration.

However, the development of world scientific thought and the improvement of the mineral extraction technologies require a rethinking of primary geological data (PGD). During the Soviet times, there was a rapid development of geological prospecting activities with creation and accumulation of PGD’s large volumes. Reinterpretation and rethinking of this information using the latest techniques, approaches and technologies is an important issue. An important aspect is to save this information, because large number of PGD remains on paper. The only way to facilitate the circulation of PGD and ensure their proper storage is to create a centralized digital data warehouse using the latest information technologies for storing, processing and analyzing data. Such actions should ensure the rapid retrieval and analysis of PGD, facilitate the planning of geological prospect and ensure overall performance, including economic efficiency. The article discusses aspects of data warehouse creating for primary geological and geophysical data. The infrastructure, architecture and creating stages of the data warehouse for primary geological data are highlighted. The authors are examined the technological approaches, stages of work on the data warehouse creation. Modern technologies, including technologies associated with Big Data, are considered as those that should be oriented to performers of work. Primary geological data is partially structured or unstructured, and its volumes are constantly growing with high speed. The introduction of modern Big Data technologies will allow creating flexible powerful systems that must ensure horizontal scaling of the system in terms of computing power and storage size, and carry out operational primary processing and analysis of the data, that the user needs.

With specific examples, it is shown that the behavior of rocks with such a set of influencing factors is determined by the laws of synergetics and the combined action of external influences, uneven stress-strain state of the rocks, the pore pressure and chemo mechanical effects. Examples are the results of gas-flow and gas-metric studies of closed wells, as well as the results of explosive perforation and intensification of producing wellbores at different depths. Defects occurrence in minerals with a high modulus of elasticity is initiated by an external dynamic effect and independently under the action of the saturating fluid. Then, under volumetric non-uniform compression and reservoir pressure, gradual fracturing of terrigenous rocks occurs at the micro and macro level. The result of these processes is the formation of areas of the improved permeability near the wells during drilling, production and suspending. When drilling on traditional technology they will impair formation reservoir properties via infiltration of water and solid phase. In oil and gas wells and in closed wells - improve these properties. Analysis of the behavior of rocks from the synergetic position shows that the best mode of loading on the reservoir during wells drilling, wells completion and oil and gas production is depression (reduced pressure) on the reservoir. The known and new promising technologies for the intensification of oil and gas production are determined.
