Para esto, centramos nuestro interes en los denominados “Youtubers”, productores del sitio de videos mas utilizado a nivel mundial. Indagar sobre aquellas noticias que tienen por objeto a los “Youtubers” permite comprender como se construyen estas figuras y cuales son las representaciones que circulan alrededor de estas. Para ello, y dado el alcance de este trabajo, aqui analizamos notas periodisticas del diario La Nacion, uno de los diarios de mayor circulacion en Argentina. --- The aim of this paper is to reflect on how audiovisual content producers on the Internet are recognized, named and represented by written press. With this in mind, we focus our analysis on the “Youtubers”, producers of the most visited media site worldwide. Studying the articles about “Youtubers” may help to understand the various representations that surrounds them. Dependiendo del anuncio del que se trate, existen diferentes modelos que nos ayudan a extraer el significado del discurso publicitario frente al que nos encontramos. Nuestro objetivo es desarrollar en profundidad aquellas cuestiones en torno al estudio de los significados que comportan las marcas y su posible relacion con respecto a su dimension social. En este sentido, se hace especial hincapie en el caso concreto de las tribus urbanas, grupos de referencia social que ilustran las implicaciones que el consumo simbolico tiene para la creacion de la identidad de sus miembros en tanto a que sus elecciones de consumo y estilos compartidos contribuyen a la formacion de valores y actitudes del consumidor, en ultimo termino, a la creacion de su self-concept. --- The starting point of this research is to make an approximation about the symbolic consumption as a process where people use symbols, understood them as products or brands, to convey identity elements in a social scenario. Our objective is to focus on the study of brand meanings and its possible relationship with the social dimension.
