Usually, pharmaceutical inventory systems assume the deteriorating rate as constant, which is insignificant and illogical because healthcare products medicines and drugs deteriorate significantly. Thus, the deteriorating rate of medicinal products is supposed to be time-dependent and to follow three-parameter Weibull distribution. The lack of commodities is permitted with the rate of partial backlogging. This research work develops a model to optimize the total average cost of the items by calculating the ordering quantity and the optimum time intervals. Finally, through a numerical example, with sensitivity analysis, we demonstrate the effect of different parameters.","PeriodicalId":52438,"journal":{"name":"Yugoslav Journal of Operations Research","volume":"50 2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83398772","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we analyze Exponential Quality function for network clustering. We consider different classes of artificial networks from literature and analyze whether the maximization of Exponential Quality function tends to merge or split clusters in optimal partition even if they are unambiguously defined. Our theoretical results show that Exponential Quality function detects the expected and reasonable clusters in all classes of instances and the Modularity function does not.","PeriodicalId":52438,"journal":{"name":"Yugoslav Journal of Operations Research","volume":"11 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74145133","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The defective cost is the expense involving rework, repair and replacement of defective items, and also the cost incurred due to loss of goods quality. The learning function acts as a substantial function for cost diminution. Meanwhile, the impact of learning is an incident which occurs approximately everywhere and enables the workers to carry out new work with better performance after flowing repetition over a course of time. Further, a retailer offers buyers an allowable setback time to arrange the money payable to him and no extra fine if money is paid within the allowable financing time period. On the other hand, if the cash is not paid on trade-credit financing period of time, the retailer will charge on remaining cash provided by the buyer after the allowed period. Keeping these facts, we developed an inventory model for imperfect quality items with a learning effect, in which demand rate is assumed as an exponential function of the trade credit period. The expected total profit function is maximized with respect to trade credit financing period under learning effect. A numerical example is illustrated, and a comprehensive sensitivity analysis is depicted to understand the robustness of the model.","PeriodicalId":52438,"journal":{"name":"Yugoslav Journal of Operations Research","volume":"63 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80502686","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has been extensively used for many theoretical and computational problems in mathematical programming. In this paper duality results are established for first and second order Wolfe and Mond-Weir type symmetric dual programs over general polyhedral cones in complex spaces. Corresponding duality relations for nondifferentiable case are also stated. This work will also remove inconsistencies in the earlier work from the literature.","PeriodicalId":52438,"journal":{"name":"Yugoslav Journal of Operations Research","volume":"179 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72583424","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To reduce the lost sales rate, two forms of capital investment cost function, viz. logarithmic and power are employed. Two relationships between ordering cost and lead time, viz. linear and logarithmic are considered. We develop four inventory models by taking different combinations of capital investment cost function and ordering cost lead time relationship. Objective of the study is to reduce the total related cost by simultaneously optimizing the order quantity, safety factor, fraction of the shortages during the stock-out period that will be lost and length of lead time. The lead time demand is assumed to follow a mixture of normal distributions. The optimal solution is derived by developing computer programs using the software MATLAB. We also provide four numerical examples to illustrate the models.","PeriodicalId":52438,"journal":{"name":"Yugoslav Journal of Operations Research","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73715330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents several graphs that could qualify as models for efficient MINs based on the small values of the graph tightness previously introduced by Cvetkovic and Davidovic in 2008. These graphs are constructed using some well-known and widely used graph operations. The tightness values of these graphs range from O(4?N) to O(?N), where N is the order of the graph under consideration. Also, two new graph tightness values, namely Third type mixed tightness t3(G) and Second type of Structural tightness t4(G) are defined in this paper. It has been shown that these tightness types are easier to calculate than the others for the considered graphs. Moreover, their values are significantly smaller.","PeriodicalId":52438,"journal":{"name":"Yugoslav Journal of Operations Research","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77050541","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this method, an ?-approximation approach is applied to the considered problem, and a new problem is constructed, called as ?-approximated multitime multiobjective variational problem that contains the change in objective and both constraints functions. The equivalence between an efficient (Pareto optimal) solution to the main multitime multiobjective variational problem is derived along with its associated ?-approximated problem under invexity defined for a multi- time functional. Furthermore, we have also discussed the saddle-point criteria for the problem considered and its associated ?-approximated problems via generalized invexity assumptions.","PeriodicalId":52438,"journal":{"name":"Yugoslav Journal of Operations Research","volume":"69 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85511382","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
