It is one of the largest black shale formations in the world. The results of the lithological and geochemical study revealed that the brittlest rocks of the formation are widely distributed in the Central region and are considered as potential reservoirs: siliceous mudstones, kerogenic siliceous mudstones, carbonated radiolarites (limestones and dolomites). In the South-Eastern region, thicknesses of silicites are noticeably reduced; kerogen-clay-siliceous mudstones (similar in silica content to siliceous mudstones) prevail, which are also reservoirs in a number of areas. These types of rocks are practically not typical for the Northern and Southern regions. Detailed distribution maps of the main components of rocks for the lower, middle and upper parts, as well as for the Formation as a whole, were constructed. It was revealed that the highest concentrations of siliceous material are observed in the lower and to a lesser extent in the middle parts of the Bazhenov Formation section in the Central region. By the nature of distribution, composition and thickness of potential reservoirs, the Central region can be considered as a highly promising region in terms of development for hydrocarbon raw materials, the South-Eastern is medium-promising one, the Northern and Southern are low-promising ones.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"21 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139301747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During the core study, the rock mineral composition was investigated, the order of mineral formation as well as the nature of serpentinite saturation with hydrocarbons was determined,pyrolytic analysis of samples was carried out, and the geothermal history of rocks was assessed. The model of reservoir formation in serpentinites and metasomatites based on them, time and stage of its filling with HC was proposed. It was identified that the serpentinite massif at a certain stage of alteration is represented by a porous reservoir, transforming into a porous fractured one under the influence of tectonics. The features of structural and tectonic structure of the massif, its slaty structure, determine the alternation of sites with various reservoir types in the section. Due to the different pore sizes caused by the different mineralogicalrock composition, a natural separation of incoming HC was taken place/is taken place, as a result of of the process, an “interlayering” of intervals with different saturation – oil-saturated, gas-saturated and without saturation in the section is noted. The input of HC into the rock was pulse-coupled and is probably currently coming from deeper rocks.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"5 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139304067","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition to the function of providing raw materials for the social sphere, groundwater indirectly creates the basis for economic activity in almost all areas of industry and agriculture. The resource potential of this most important mineral, especially freshwater is located very unevenly across the planet regions, while the demand for it is constantly growing, which is, among other things, a prerequisite for the emergence of international conflicts. The high costs of transportation, storage and extraction of groundwater resources make us talk about the complex economic aspects of this segment in the economy of many states. At the same time, countries and regions with excessive groundwater reserves do not always perceive them as an economically significant resource, as a result of which public administration issues in this area do not have systematic long-term planning. Currently, there is no methodology for determining the valuation of an underground water resource on the territory of the Russian Federation. The market mechanism is applicable only to certain types of mineral therapeutic and industrial groundwater that are commercial products, including MET. The comparative characteristics of surface and groundwater are carried out from the point of view of marketable products, the features of the tariff policy formation are considered as a realization element of the resource water potential.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"61 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139295029","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The original method of sampling from deposits of deflation lakes is given. The complexes of the Dyolkuma Formation generated in the last thermochron and cryochron of the Late Pleistocene were compared with each other, as well as with complexes of alluvial formations (MIS-3) and the Yedoma Formation (MIS-2) synchronous with them. Southern thermophilic aliens were found in samples from sediments compared with MIS-3. The data obtained made it possible to significantly supplementand define the previously performed paleogeographic reconstructions. Thermoarid steppe formation was determined against the background of the development of forest communities in the last Neo-Pleistocene thermochron in the conditions of intrazonal landscapes,within which the thermal erosion of permafrost was manifested; and the existence of woody vegetation areals in the subsequent cryochron was also noted. The research results can serve as a basis for stratifying similar deposits and performing correlations with other sections of the area.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139303872","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Investigations were carried out on the basis of comprehensive generalization of published geological and geochemical materials. It is shown that all formations of the Lower and Middle Jurassic containing aquagene, terragene and mixed types of kerogen in various proportions, possessed oil and gas generating properties. The significant implementation of generation potential due to the high OM catagenetic transformation in rocks of the Middle and especially Lower Jurassic caused the formation of mainly condensate gas accumulations in reservoirs of the Malyshevka Formation. The stages of formation of clay fluid seal in the process of lithogenesis are considered, it was determined by the feature of subsequent transgressive-regressive sediment filling relative to the deep–sea basin in the Late Berriasian – Early Aptian. The history of the anticline structure formation in the roof of the Jurassic structural stage is analyzed separately. According to the results of this analysis, it was found that hydrocarbon accumulations matured within the structures whose main stages of development coincided with the Jurassic period and Early Cretaceous epoch. The beginning time of filling traps with hydrocarbons was defined on the basis of information comparison about the time of compaction of clay strata of the Late Bathonian – Kellovian to the state of fluid seal and time of implementation of the HC main generation phases by oil –and- gas generating rocks. It is concluded that the lithification asynchrony of the fluid seal clay deposits predetermined the time diversity of the HC accumulation generation in the Malyshevka Formation in geological past.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139306145","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Possibility study of hydrate formation in reservoir conditions of trough as one of the reasons for obtaining negative well test results was conducted. Performed calculations of the equilibrium conditions of hydrate formation have determined that the hydrate stability zone covers an insignificant interval of deposits 222 m thick below the bottom of permafrost rocks. It is concluded that the main reason for the insignificance of the hydrate formation zone is a relatively high geothermal gradient, which causes sufficiently high reservoir temperatures in the section. It is noted that favorable conditions for the formation of gas hydrates may arise in the presence of heavy differential pressure drawdown on the formation in the vicinity of borehole.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"41 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139300642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
