Failure of the thermostat can result in undercooling or overheating of the engine. Undercooling may increase wear of engine components due to poor lubrication and lead to higher fuel consumption. Conversely, overheating can damage the engine. The engine coolant temperature is one of the fundamental parameters for the proper functioning of the engine. The vehicle's onboard diagnostics system was unable to detect the malfunction of the thermostat. As a consequence, fuel consumption increased, which was especially noticeable in winter. This paper evaluates the possibility of carrying out thermostat diagnostics using data obtained from the OBD system through a diagnostic interface ELM327, which is connected to the OBD-II connector and interfaced with Torque Pro software on a smartphone. Analysis of the data confirmed that the proposed diagnostic method was appropriate. Furthermore, the impact of the thermostat malfunction on different factors such as coolant temperature, cold engine warm-up time, parameters characterising thermostat cycling, and fuel consumption of the car were studied. As these materials have possible applications in different designing areas, a lot of work has been put into enhancing their performance. This study's aim was to study the impact transition behavior of PPS and its composite under different ranges of temperatures by investigating their thermal, mechanical and structural characteristics. PPS and its composite reinforced with 40% vf (volume fraction) glass fibers are employed in this study. The impact transition behavior of PPS and 40%Vf glass fibers composite were investigated by analyzing the mechanical properties: impact, tensile, bending and, hardness at the following temperature ranges: 23°C, -26°C, and -78°C. A particular refrigerator and dry ice were used to achieve the extremely low temperatures (-26 C and -78 C, respectively). The results showed that the addition of 40% glass fibers improved the impact transition behavior of 40%GF PPS composite with temperature decreasing. To improve the efficiency of a grid-connected PV system's integrated multi-level inverter fractional order PI (FOPI) controllers are used to describe the control process. The control system is made up of three control loops based on FOPI controllers: one for controlling the intermediate circuit voltage (Vdc) and the other two for controlling the direct and quadratic currents (Id, Iq) supplied by the multilevel inverter. The proposed controller parameters (K p , K I , λ ) must be selected in order to increase the efficiency of the multi-level inverter while decreasing the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the output current of the inverter as well as voltage. For this we used three meta-heuristic algorithms (PSO, ABC, GWO). The performance of the three controllers PSO-FOPI, ABC-FOPI and GWO-FOPI controller is compared. The findings showed that GWO-FOPI performs better than the other PSO-FOPI and ABC-FOPI in accuracy and total harmonic distortion THD term. They facilitate the identification of system variables and enable the prediction of their evolution based on the input-output relationship. In this study, we employ the ARMAX approach to accurately predict the dynamic vibratory behavior of MS5002B gas turbine bearings. By utilizing real input-output data obtained from their operation, this approach effectively captures the vibration characteristics of the bearings. Additionally, the ARMAX technique serves as a valuable diagnostic tool for the bearings, enhancing the quality of identification of turbine variables. This enables continuous monitoring of the bearings and real-time prediction of their behavior. Furthermore, the ARMAX approach facilitates the detection of all potential vibration patterns that may occur in the bearings, with monitoring thresholds established by the methodology. Consequently, this enhances the availability of the bearings and reduces turbine downtime. The efficacy of the proposed ARMAX approach is demonstrated through comprehensive results obtained in this study.
