This research employs an analytical descriptive approach by gathering information on the methodology and technology used in installing modular facade systems on existing buildings. Data is collected through literature review and case studies of successfully implemented building renovation projects. The analysis results indicate that the use of modular systems in building renovation provides numerous benefits, including improved construction efficiency, cost and time reduction, as well as enhanced durability and aesthetics of the building. Moreover, the use of modular systems enables more flexible design adjustments according to the existing architectural context. The utilization of modular systems in building renovation brings positive impacts in enhancing the building's appearance while safeguarding the original facade and preventing various construction issues. By providing more efficient and flexible solutions, modular systems unlock significant potential in sustainably and aesthetically renewing existing building structures.","PeriodicalId":519042,"journal":{"name":"Sustainable Civil Building Management and Engineering Journal","volume":"133 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140752222","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When designing multi-family residential buildings, economic factors are primarily taken into account. In particular, the construction of residential buildings in Uzbekistan has its own historical tradition. The houses were built in two versions -national and European. These houses mainly consist of houses with separate courtyards. This study employs a qualitative research approach, drawing insights from architectural literature and historical records to examine the design features of residential buildings in Uzbekistan. Data collection involves literature review, analysis of architectural plans, and examination of historical documents. The analysis reveals that the design of multi-family residential buildings is influenced by various factors, including economic considerations, cultural heritage, and historical traditions. In Uzbekistan, the architectural landscape reflects a blend of national and European styles, each with its own spatial planning solutions and design elements. Traditional houses with separate courtyards not only provide privacy and security but also contribute to the overall aesthetics of residential neighborhoods. Additionally, economic factors play a significant role in shaping the design process, with cost-effective construction methods and materials being prioritized in residential building projects.","PeriodicalId":519042,"journal":{"name":"Sustainable Civil Building Management and Engineering Journal","volume":"40 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140752352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By analyzing various case studies from leading global centers, we seek to identify commonalities in design principles, spatial organization, and urban planning strategies that contribute to their success as catalysts for technological advancement and economic growth. Through a comprehensive analysis of diverse case studies, this study identifies recurring design principles, spatial arrangements, and urban planning methodologies that underpin their efficacy as drivers of technological progress and prosperity. The methodology involves an in-depth examination of case studies from prominent technoparks and technopolises worldwide. Analysis is conducted to identify recurring patterns in architectural design, spatial organization, and urban planning strategies. By synthesizing findings from these case studies, this research elucidates the critical factors shaping the architectural landscape of technoparks and technopolises. The results highlight the importance of functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability in architectural design to foster collaboration, creativity, and innovation within these complexes. Spatial organization prioritizes connectivity and accessibility, facilitating interaction among stakeholders and promoting a conducive environment for knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration. Furthermore, integration of amenities such as green spaces and mixed-use developments enhances the quality of life for occupants and contributes to the overall vibrancy of these innovation clusters. In conclusion, the architectural peculiarities of technoparks and technopolises play a significant role in shaping their identity as catalysts for technological advancement and economic prosperity. Understanding these architectural features provides valuable insights for policymakers, urban planners, and architectural practitioners to strategically plan and sustainably develop technologically-driven urban environments. Leveraging design innovation can cultivate vibrant innovation ecosystems, propelling societies towards a more sustainable and knowledge-driven future.","PeriodicalId":519042,"journal":{"name":"Sustainable Civil Building Management and Engineering Journal","volume":"89 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140752401","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Foundation bearing capacity and foundation settlement are very important for foundation planning. In the construction project for the Faculty of Agricultural Technology building at Jember Polytechnic, a recalculation analysis was carried out to compare the carrying capacity using two methods, namely HSPD and Drop Hammer. Soil bearing capacity is calculated based on Standard Penetration Test (SPT) data from 2 soil investigation points. Next, the soil bearing capacity is calculated using the Drop Hammer assumption. The research results show that there is a difference in the carrying capacity of HSPD and Drop Hammer. And the results can be carried out using 2 HSPD heavy equipment and a Drop Hammer at that location. In comparison, Drop Hammer and HSPD driving on a 25 x 25cm mini pile foundation can be carried out. And in the field you can use 2 heavy equipment simultaneously, namely HSPD for spun pile D 50 cm at the smallest permitted carrying capacity value of 68 tonnes at a depth of approximately 12 meters and drop hammer for mini piles at a permitted carrying capacity value of 40.94 tonnes at a depth of approximately 6 meters. However, if you use a drop hammer in areas near residents, don't forget to plan the trench work to reduce vibrations to the surrounding area.","PeriodicalId":519042,"journal":{"name":"Sustainable Civil Building Management and Engineering Journal","volume":"12 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140531315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
