However, CS often requires substantial computational time for signal reconstruction. In this study, we introduce a novel approach aimed at reducing the reconstruction time in CS. We achieve this by reusing parameters obtained during the previous reconstruction as initial parameters for subsequent reconstruction processes. This method accelerates signal reconstruction without compromising accuracy. In Python3 simulations, our approach reduced computation time by a factor of 1.7. These findings provide valuable insights for designing low-power CS-based wireless EEG measurement systems.","PeriodicalId":518694,"journal":{"name":"2024 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"16 3","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140531789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, signal integrity and timing analysis of a memory interface are considered as must-have requirements. In order to significantly reduce hardware bring-up time period and verification tooling costs, optimizing a memory interface has become extremely essential. This paper carries out a comprehensive study and analysis on a DDR interconnect design, therefore providing multiple design rules to achieve optimized signal integrity performances. As a case study, an 1866 MT/s data link between a DDR3 IC and an FPGA has been analyzed and optimized. Simulation results were presented to show the best achievable signal integrity performances under various optimized design parameters.","PeriodicalId":518694,"journal":{"name":"2024 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"99 11","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140531816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

LWIR cameras can recognize posture with high accuracy while preserving privacy with low resolution. However, it cannot be used in an invisible environment, such as closing curtains in a ward environment. To solve this problem, we intend to solve it using mmWave radar that can be sensed through a thin cloth. We design and implement a multimodal system that uses two sensors for privacy and environmental robustness. For proper use of both sensors, we propose a multimodal black-out network called COMBONet, which switches inputs based on confidence, considering background features and circumstances. Our implementation and experiments used people not used for training as the evaluation. It shows that it can be used comprehensively in various environments.","PeriodicalId":518694,"journal":{"name":"2024 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"43 12","pages":"1-2"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140531859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of thread interaction is essential for system optimization. The Thread Interaction Graph (TIG) holds potential for analyzing dynamic systems that are sensitive to external stimuli and exhibit inherent unpredictability, characteristics often found in mobile devices. Despite its potential, TIG has not been extensively utilized. The existing body of research on TIG has been predominantly conducted under the presupposition of a static system, thereby excluding dynamic thread interactions. Our proposed method categorizes high-level interaction threads as major threads by utilizing thread interaction statistics obtained from TIG. Furthermore, our method delineates a group of major threads based on their relational attributes and formulates an interaction topology specific to this identified major thread group. In our experiments, we applied a thread scheduling constraint considering thread usage and cache efficiency, leveraging the interaction topology of the major thread group derived from our proposed method. This resulted in an 8% improvement in architectural efficiency compared to conventional scheduling methods.","PeriodicalId":518694,"journal":{"name":"2024 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"80 6","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140531893","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, reducing the number of parameters does not always guarantee improved acceleration. Sometimes, the two factors are complementary, and during the process of reducing parameters, there is a simultaneous decrease in accuracy. Therefore, achieving a balance between efficiency and accuracy has always been an important issue in lightweight methods. This paper employs a different approach than previous model compression and acceleration methods. Instead of continuously reducing the number of parameters to achieve faster model inference, it optimizes the algorithm of the model inference stage and the overall complexity of the architecture. This approach ensures that the model does not incur additional inference time costs while maintaining the original architectural performance, thereby improving model inference speed without sacrificing accuracy.","PeriodicalId":518694,"journal":{"name":"2024 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"66 6","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140531936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the introduction of MAC address randomization to preserve the users’ privacy makes it more challenging to leverage all its potential. In this paper, we present McMatcher, a privacy-preserving, novel methodology for matching random MAC addresses from BLE devices. McMatcher uses a symbolic representation of the RSSI time series to build characterizing vectors, embedding both the temporal as well as the signal strength (RSSI) properties of the BLE signal. Our methodology achieves 100% accuracy in matching 92 MAC addresses from 16 smartphones, in a dataset containing 332 MAC addresses in total. As opposed to previous works, our methodology does not require any model training, and relies only on the RSSI measurements. The computational simplicity of McMatcher allows matching MAC addresses in realtime, taking only 230ms for a set of 18 MAC addresses.","PeriodicalId":518694,"journal":{"name":"2024 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"67 12","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140531965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Conventional knee prostheses control the knee angle to reproduce the gait of a healthy person. However, because they do not control the angle based on the gait characteristics of the individual user, they cannot follow real-time changes in gait pattern, which leads to gait disturbance. Therefore, in this study, we developed a knee angle control system that automatically adapts the flexion angle of the knee joint to changes in gait pattern by varying the control parameters of the robotic prosthesis. Specifically, we focused on the gait characteristics before one gait cycle and propose an adaptive gait model that follows the knee joint flexion angle to respond to real-time gait characteristics. Finally, we conducted clinical experiments with a transfemoral prosthesis user and successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of our proposed method in stabilizing the user’s gait.","PeriodicalId":518694,"journal":{"name":"2024 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"2 2","pages":"1-2"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140531635","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
