Chi-square test shows statistically significance difference in firms’ characteristics across the rural and urban regions. ANOVA reveals a significant difference in business performance. Similarly, perception about obstacles in doing business varies across the urban and rural firms. The traditional supply chain is based on a push system, whereas an additional supply chain is based on a pull system. In this work we have found the impact of 3D printing on supply chain management, what the risks and opportunities of 3D printing on the supply chain are and, also what the companies are doing to leverages these opportunities and risks. It has been concluded that the additive supply chain has drastically changed the traditional supply chain in four key ways i.e. time, quality, speed, and environmental impact. It will result in the effective management of resources, which is of immense importance, keeping in mind the sustainable development goals of a blue-chip organization. It will be cost-effective and will reduce the lead-time of the supply chain. It will result in increased customer satisfaction, as the product will be produced by mass customization and improved quality. Moreover, this will lead to flexibility in the manufacturing process, which will enhance industrial efficiency. In Markov method, the reliability is assessed by creating state space model and deriving probabilistic equations of all the states. The developed equations are further solved with the help of a MATLAB. Constant failure and repair rates are considered for the different components in the system. Standby redundancy has been employed to enhance the system reliability. System reliability value for the basic system model, i.e. Model 1 at 10,000[Formula: see text]h is 0.1252 that has been increased by using standby redundancies in Model 4 with no repair to 0.6428 and with repair to 0.9374. Each step of the framework is explained, including recommendations on how results should be interpreted. Empirical data are used to exemplify the implementation of the procedural framework. The process contributes to knowledge on the current needs, thereby supporting agile decision making. The contribution also enables dynamic mapping the competitive environment, enabling an current picture of the industry’s competitive context and supporting the establishment of emerging strategies. This study deepens this knowledge, and proposes a model that puts forward the idea that optimistic expectations stimulate proactive personality characteristics and in this way activate strategic vigilance which forms the basis of behavioral decisions. In order to test this model, research was carried out with 280 entrepreneurs participating. Data obtained from the sample were analyzed using statistical programs which examine mediating effect. The research findings have shown that optimistic expectations affect strategic vigilance significantly and positively, and proactive personality traits have a fully mediating role in this effect. This is the first study that examines the relationships among optimistic expectations, personality characteristics, and cognitive abilities. To find out other relations between optimistic expectations and personality characteristics and cognitive abilities, there should be more researches.
