This process was especially reflected in large areas of oligotrophic bogs, the vegetation of which is a sensitive indicator of environmental disturbance. For the first time, a list of epigeic and epiphytic lichens collected on the territory of the Samotlor oil field on native oligotrophic bogs and in secondary anthropogenically modified landscapes that have originated from them is given. A total of 80 species of lichens have been registered. Epigean lichens are mainly represented by species of genus Cladonia, which, in addition to native sites, are also found in technogenically transformed habitats. Species capable of developing in oil-contaminated areas have been identified. The average period of the initial colonization of oil and salt-contaminated oligotrophic peat soils by lichens ranges from 6–7 to 12–15 years. Among epiphytic lichens, there is a spread of some species to an atypical substrate for them, which may indicate both air pollution by products of combustion of gas flares and an increase in the general dust content of the atmosphere of oil fields.","PeriodicalId":517078,"journal":{"name":"Byulleten' Moskovskogo Obshchestva Ispytatelei Prirody Otdel Biologicheskii","volume":"133 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140501270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Khokhrjakov is described. He devoted a significant part of his creative life to this mountainous harsh, but amazing edge of our country. Botanical geography became one of the focuses among a wide range of his scientifi c interests during that period of intensive study of flora and vegetation of the vast mountainous territories of the Magadan region and neighboring territories. A deep multidimensional analysis of flora with the allocation of its geographical and genetic elements together with a thorough attention to the endemic and relict species, became an outcome of these studies. That basis allowed him to approach an understanding of the formation and development of the flora of various regions, making his original contribution to the development of botanical, geographical and floral zoning of Northeast Asia. Numerous publications by A.P. Khokhrjakov remain in demand and serve as necessary sources of information on this complex and distinctive mountain flora.","PeriodicalId":517078,"journal":{"name":"Byulleten' Moskovskogo Obshchestva Ispytatelei Prirody Otdel Biologicheskii","volume":"46 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140501524","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research area belongs to the northern subzone of the desert zone (Zones and Zones…, 1999). Data on the composition of forage plants in the diet of jointly grazed sheep, cows and horses were obtained using the method of microhistological cuticular analysis of excrement. This method is used for the first time to assess the diet of sheep, cows and horses in the study area. 25 plant species were identified in the summer diet of grazed animals, of which 21 species were noted when describing vegetation in the key area. It was revealed that the diet of grazed domestic animal species differs in the ratio of the main forage groups of plants in it: cereals, sedges and various grasses. The share of cereals is the highest in the diet of horses (92%), and the share of various grasses prevails in the diet of sheep (35%).","PeriodicalId":517078,"journal":{"name":"Byulleten' Moskovskogo Obshchestva Ispytatelei Prirody Otdel Biologicheskii","volume":"79 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140501239","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Holub in the territory of the South Ural Reserve is presented. The collection of seed material was carried out in three cenopopulations (Dunan-Sungan, Yusha and Naratash), two of which are associated with tall grass communities of the Polygonion krascheninnikovii Kashapov 1985 union, the third cenopopulation is part of the tundra-like communities of the spruce-birch crooked forest of the Calamagrostion arundinaceae (Luquet 1926) Oberdorfer 1957 union. A brief description of the weather conditions of the growing year is given with a graph of minimum temperatures from May to July 2015–2021, where the largest number of days with frost was noted for 2017 (9 days), and not noted at all for 2021. A description of the morphological heterogeneity is given. Seeds of A.biarmiense, while it was found that the seeds of plants are most often characterized by an ellipsoidal shape, less often an ellipsoidal one with a base narrowed into a stem. The spherical shape of the seeds is more common in forest cenopopulations, and the ellipsoidal shape is more common in meadow ones. Seeds with a wavy and even edge are observed equally often. The metric and quantitative parameters of A. biarmiense seed productivity in natural cenopopulations from 2015 to 2021 are given. Most of the metrics increase in 2016, 2018 and decrease in 2015, 2017 with worsening weather conditions. Among the quantitative indicators, the largest number of ovules and seeds per seedling, fl ower-bearing shoot and individual were found in the meadow cenopopulations of Yusha, Dunan-sungan of the forest belt, and in the Naratash CP of the subalpine belt, their number is reduced. Accordingly, a higher seed productivity coeffi cient was found in the open meadow communities of the forest belt, and a lower one in the crooked forest belt. Characterizing the weather conditions of the growing year, most of the maximum values were found in 2016, when the climatic conditions were the most favorable during the growing season. The minimum values of seed productivity indicators were noted in 2017 and 2021, characterized by the least favorable weather conditions throughout the growing season. The lowest variability of seed productivity traits was found for the length and width of the seed, the highest – for the weight of seeds and the number of unfulfilled seeds per seed, flowering shoot and plant. The amplitude of variability for all studied parameters of seed productivity varies in a wide range among the observed cenopopulations in the belt of spruce crooked forests on the ridge. Naratash, while in the narrowest range, variation of signs in the Yusha and Dunan-sungan CP was revealed.","PeriodicalId":517078,"journal":{"name":"Byulleten' Moskovskogo Obshchestva Ispytatelei Prirody Otdel Biologicheskii","volume":"188 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140503781","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
