It focuses on improving behavioral modeling by introducing probes for observing and monitoring events. In the introduction, the importance of separation of concerns in the management of large software systems is emphasized, with the introduction of view-based modeling and the VUML profile. The application context section presents the VUML analysis and design process, illustrated by a case study of managing an automotive repair shop. Probes are introduced as a modeling concept for event detection and control, with basic categories and methods for projection, derivation, and composition. The VUML Probe profile is presented, integrating probe stereotypes into the VUML meta-model, with conformance rules to maintain semantic consistency. The application of probes in the VUML process is demonstrated, in particular, to ensure the autonomous evolution of model-views. Abstract probes are defined during the composition phase, and then used in view models. Finally, related work and avenues for future research are discussed, including language enhancements, integration with aspect-oriented modeling, and tool development. In summary, the paper offers a comprehensive framework for integrating event observation mechanisms into the VUML approach, aimed at improving the modeling and management of complex software systems.","PeriodicalId":516312,"journal":{"name":"WSEAS TRANSACTIONS ON SYSTEMS","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141121722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Exponential Weighted Moving Average (EWMA) control chart is a well-recognized control chart used to detect small changes in parameters. The efficiency of the chart studied is usually achieved using ARL. Approximating ARL using the Gauss-Legendre quadrature method, also known as NIE,. This approach is used to evaluate the ARL of developments, such as explicit formulas because it provides a robust way to validate their validity and accuracy. Moreover, it evaluates the performance of control charts for time series under exponential white noise. Exponential white noise is obtained from a long-memory fractionally integrated AR with exogenous variables or the long-memory ARFIX process. Under the long-memory ARFIX model, the proposed technique compares the control chart's performance to an explicit formula using the criterion of percentage accuracy. The results of the comprehensive numerical study include investigations into a wide range of out-of-control processes and situations. Specifically, the results from the accuracy percentage in all cases are more than 95%, which means that the proposed technique is accurate and completely consistent with the well-defined explicit formula. Therefore, it is recommended that it be used in this situation. There are examples from real data that were found to be consistent with the research results.","PeriodicalId":516312,"journal":{"name":"WSEAS TRANSACTIONS ON SYSTEMS","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141122220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They can appear in conservative equations, which are known to have no attractors. Nevertheless, according to some authors, their behavior may be done chaotic by adding a periodic external force. Is the period of the external force correlated with periods of solutions in period annuli? Is the chaotic behavior of a solution dependent on the initial value and, in turn, on a certain periodic annulus? These, and related questions are studied in the article.","PeriodicalId":516312,"journal":{"name":"WSEAS TRANSACTIONS ON SYSTEMS","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140723598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the present paper, a new 1-bit hybrid full adder has been deliberated and proposed using both pass transistor (PT) and transmission gate logics (TGL), which utilizes a total of 16 transistors. The combination of PT and TGL can lead to improved power efficiency, reduced delay, and enhanced circuit performance in various VLSI applications. For 0.9 V supply voltage at 32-nm CNTFET technology, the power consumption is 0.0748 μW, which is to be an exceptionally low value with a lesser delay of 7.586 Ps and the power-delay-product (PDP) of 0.5674 aJ. The results obtained from this analysis demonstrate the power efficiency, speed, and overall performance of the proposed full adder design. The combination of 32-nm CNTFET technology, deliberate circuit design choices, and the use of specific logic elements (CMOS inverters and strong transmission gates) contributes to the reported characteristics. Using a 0.9 V supply voltage and 32-nm Stanford CNTFET Model technology, the suggested 1-bit adder circuit's concert was investigated using the Mentor Graphics Tool. Finally, using the proposed 1-bit full adder circuit, an N-bit ripple carry adder (N=8, 16 & 32) is implemented and demonstrated. The Simulation results of the 8-bit RCA with a power consumption of 0.373 μW, the delay is 16.852 Ps and the PDP is 6.2857 aJ. These results show that proposed RCA’s have better performance compared to the already reported designs in terms of performance, speed, and power economy.","PeriodicalId":516312,"journal":{"name":"WSEAS TRANSACTIONS ON SYSTEMS","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140720581","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among many other statistical process control tools, quality practitioners typically employ control charts to monitor the industrial process and detect production changes. Control charts are widely used to detect flaws in many applications, such as distributed circuits and systems, electronic devices, and systems and signals. In this study, we derived an explicit formula for Average Run Length (ARL) of the Homogenously Weighted Moving Average control chart (HWMA) under the ARMA (p,q) process. The accuracy was checked using the numerical integral equation (NIE) technique. The finding showed that the explicit formulas and numerical solutions presented an outstanding level of agreement. However, the computational time for the explicit formulas was approximately one second, which was less than that required for the NIE. Moreover, the performance efficiency of the HWMA control chart is compared with the cumulative sum control chart for ARMA (p, q) processes including ARMA (2,1), ARMA (2,3), and ARMA (1,1) processes. The results found that the HWMA control chart performance is found to be preferable to the CUSUM control chart performance. Additionally, the explicit formula of the HWMA control chart was implemented in a practical application of the count of nonconformities in printed circuit boards (PCBs).","PeriodicalId":516312,"journal":{"name":"WSEAS TRANSACTIONS ON SYSTEMS","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140242645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study delves into the significant impact of the logistics department in global industries and proposes an innovative solution for inventory detection and recognition using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with LiDAR technology. Unlike existing research that often involves intricate hardware systems and algorithms leading to increased costs and computational demands, our research focuses on streamlining the inventory detection process by utilizing a LiDAR data and an algorithmic approach that minimizes the time of extensive counting process into the warehouse to quantify the pallets existing. The proposed methodology entails a custom-made quadcopter equipped with a single-beam and high-frequency LiDAR range finder. Operating autonomously along a predetermined flight plan, the drone captures high-frequency range data of warehouse inventory. The paper comprehensively outlines the UAV control procedures, warehouse scanning using LiDAR, and the inventory detection and quantification of pallets algorithmic process. The proposed method processes LiDAR data in a post-process way, estimating the number of pallets and, consequently, producing a map of each stack within the warehouse denoting the quantities of pallets. The research results showcase the successful implementation of the proposed approach in a model warehouse, achieving an impressive 100% evaluation accuracy. Future research endeavors aim to extend this methodology to warehouses with dynamic product placements, emphasizing real-time monitoring for comprehensive inventory detection. This innovative approach stands out as a cost-effective and efficient solution for industries seeking accurate and timely inventory information.","PeriodicalId":516312,"journal":{"name":"WSEAS TRANSACTIONS ON SYSTEMS","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140427095","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The server offers one of the two types of heterogeneous services. Before the beginning of a service, , the customer can choose an exponential service with probability p1 or a deterministic service with probability p2, where p1+p2=1 Immediately after a service is completed, the server has a choice of taking a vacation with probability δ, or, with probability 1-δ, the server may continue staying in the system. We further assume that if the server opts to take a vacation, then with probability α1, he may take a vacation of an exponential duration with mean vacation time 1/u (u>0) or with probability he may want to take a deterministic vacation with constant duration d>0, where α1+α2=1. After a vacation is complete, the server instantly starts providing service if there is at least one customer in the system or the server remains idle in the system till a new customer arrives for service.
