Fake news can originate from any number of sources and is shared across different social platforms. This type of information is used to spread for fun or economic gain. Our goal is to stop distributing this type of misleading information on social media or any other platform. In this paper, we have proposed a hybrid model (RoBERTa and BERT) to detect fake news. Our proposed architecture is based on the LIAR multi-label dataset. This study examines the role of social media in sharing health-related content among Indian users, evaluating its trust, influence, and impact. Methodology: A questionnaire survey was conducted among 100 people using SPSS v24, G-power, and literature reviews. Statistical methods assessed reliability, trust, influencing behaviour, and impact perspectives. A model was developed using SPSS 21 AMOS software. Findings: This study examines the transformative potential of social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram for health-oriented information dissemination. It found a significant association between gender and the use of social media for medical information, with independent variables including reliability and Trust, Influence and Behaviour Impact and perspective, and positive impact. The value of ANOVA in the regression model was 0.00, indicating a better fit for the regression model. Utilizing a mixed-methods research design, data was collected through surveys administered to students of Taraba State University, Jalingo, and content analysis of qualitative data. Findings reveal positive perceptions towards social media mobilization, emphasizing the influence of social media influencers and hashtag activism. Challenges such as misinformation and algorithmic biases were identified, highlighting the need for ethical guidelines and responsible engagement in online advocacy. Recognizing their significance, it becomes imperative to safeguard libraries for the prosperity of the upcoming generations. Central to this responsibility is the need for libraries to be well-equipped and prepared to face potential disasters. The article delves into the study of the perception and attitude of library professionals towards disaster preparedness at the University of Kerala and the University of Calicut. The objectives encompass assessing librarians’ perception levels, examining current disaster precautions, studying awareness about disaster management authorities, evaluating awareness of rules and laws, and determining the existence of structured training programs. To gather relevant literature, diverse resources such as Google Scholar, Emerald, ProQuest, ResearchGate, ScienceDirect, conference proceedings, dissertations and theses in Library and Information Science were consulted. The study utilised a closed-ended structured questionnaire aligned with the defined objectives to collect data. The gathered data underwent tabulation and analysis using Microsoft Excel 2013 and SPSS version 21. The findings of the study revealed that library professionals possess an awareness of disasters and the necessity for preparedness, yet there seems to be a gap in translating this knowledge into practical implementation. The conclusion drawn is a call to action, emphasising the need for libraries to execute disaster awareness and training programs for both staff and users. In a world where natural calamities and unforeseen events pose a constant threat, understanding how library professionals perceive and approach disaster preparedness becomes paramount. As custodians of academic treasures, their perspectives shape the resilience of these institutions against potential disruptions. These laws are not only essential for safeguarding intellectual property but are also pivotal in ensuring the prosperity of authors and publishers alike. A comprehensive review of the state of publishing and copyright laws in Nigeria reveals a multi-faceted narrative, one fraught with historical legacies, contemporary challenges, and a pressing need for reform. An examination of the publishing and copyright laws in Nigeria, suggests that this dynamic relationship significantly impacts the nation’s cultural and economic landscape. The Nigerian publishing industry, with its rich literary tradition and vibrant creative voices, stands as a testament to the importance of effective copyright legislation. The paper observes that Nigeria’s copyright laws suffer from inadequacies in adapting to the digital age, weak enforcement mechanisms, and limitations in international recognition. These issues hamper the industry’s growth and hinder the full realization of its potential. Nonetheless, there is hope on the horizon. The Nigerian government has recognized the importance of reforming copyright laws and supporting the creative sector. The paper recommends that the government should embark on a comprehensive review and update of the Copyright Act to address digital rights, licensing, and enforcement issues, making it more relevant to the digital age and Nigeria should actively engage in international agreements and organizations that promote copyright protection. The study utilized a survey research approach, employing a questionnaire as the primary data collection tool. The research population consisted of 377 final-year undergraduates selected purposively from three universities in Nigeria. The results of the study indicated that students primarily sought web-based information to complete class assignments and research projects. Additionally, challenges such as information overload and the high cost of subscriptions were identified in connection with students’ online information-seeking behaviour. The study concluded that a good number of students frequently seek information from Google search and Wikipedia as well as electronic journals, which has helped them meet the demands of their academic pursuits. The study recommended, among others, that university libraries should encourage faculty members to continually assign research tasks to students that will compel them to visit their electronic libraries, where they will get new knowledge and acquire skills in web information searching. It may include books, non-book materials, e-books, grey literature, etc. An Integrated Library System (ILS) is incomplete without a well-designed cataloguing module. The creation and management of library catalogues require expertise. Globally, there are two popular open-source ILS, namely Evergreen and Koha, with regular updates and significant versions acquired by several libraries worldwide. Both Koha and Evergreen provide intuitive cataloguing interfaces that make it easy for library professionals to add and manage bibliographic information.
