Results showed that grazing, soil depth, and the interaction between grazing and depth remarkably changed soil available phosphorus (AP), available potassium (AK), available calcium (ACa) and available magnesium contents (AMg), bulk density (BD), water content (WC), and β-glucosidase activity (βGC) ( p = 6.702e-9 - 0.04739). Compared with no grazing, grazing remarkably declined the 0-5 cm soil AP by 73.10% ( p = 0.0250), the 0-5, 5-10, 10-20 cm soil WC by 47.19% ( p = 0.0042), 37.19% ( p = 0.0090), and 30.80% ( p = 0.0034), however, grazing remarkably increased the 0-5, 5-10, 10-20, 20-30 cm soil ACa by 188.76% ( p = 7.9e-05), 93.24% ( p = 0.0177) ,84.18% ( p = 0.00067), and 38.77% ( p = 0.01368), the 0-5, 5-10 cm soil AMg by 186.69% ( p = 0.0016), 78.89% ( p = 0.0109), the 0-5, 5-10, 10-20 cm soil pH by 0.51 ( p = 0.0013), 0.37 ( p = 0.0006), and 0.27 ( p = 0.0114) units, the 0-5, 5-10, 10-20 cm soil BD by 59.03% ( p = 0.0077), 44.14% ( p = 0.0147), and 35.55% ( p = 0.0071), the 30-50 cm soil WC by 22.88% ( p = 0.0241), the 0-5 cm soil βGC by 89.49% ( p = 0.0011), the 0-5, 5-10 cm soil ACP by 7.87% ( p = 0.0300), 6.57% ( p = 0.0240), respectively. Grazing exacerbated the microbial C limitation of 0-5 and 10-20 cm soils by 20.51% ( p = 0.0078) and 40.38% ( p = 0.0209) and switched the soil microbiome from under N limitation to under P limitation at 5-10 cm ( p = 0.0390). Specific soil available cations were identified as the important factors that significantly explained the variation of soil ecto-enzyme activities and soil microbial carbon and nutrient limitations.","PeriodicalId":510399,"journal":{"name":"Polish Journal of Environmental Studies","volume":"12 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140661769","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, acknowledging the hydrochemical characteristics and constructing reverse hydrogeochemical modeling are crucial for predicting and preventing mine water hazards. In this study, the mathematical statistical analysis, Piper three-line diagram, Gibbs diagram, ion proportional relationship, Chlorine-Alkali index, and the reverse hydrogeochemical modeling were employed for determining the hydrochemical characteristics and the formation mechanism. The results revealed that the hydrochemical types of groundwater samples were SO 4 .Cl-Ca.Mg and HCO 3 .Cl-Na, respectively. The water-rock interactions were primarily influenced by the leaching and the cation exchange, with these processes being more intense in the eastern region. Through reverse hydrogeochemical modeling, the water-rock interactions in the process of groundwater runoff were quantitatively verified, viz. the calcite and the dolomite were saturated and precipitating, while the gypsum and the halite were unsaturated and still dissolving. Furthermore, the simulations of mass transfer in groundwater runoff indicated that the dissolution and the leaching of gypsum, dolomite and halite, positive ion exchange, the precipitation of calcite, and the dissolution of CO 2 gas predominantly occurred along four simulated flow paths. These results offered a scientific foundation for the prevention and controlling of mine water hazards in deep mining contexts.","PeriodicalId":510399,"journal":{"name":"Polish Journal of Environmental Studies","volume":"51 16","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140664436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The following conclusions were obtained: (1) Overall, the expansion of provincial capital city boundaries can significantly improve the quality of green and low-carbon development in the later stages of policy implementation, which in turn significantly improves the benefits of urban green and low-carbon development. The estimated coefficients of policy effects show a trend of slow increase followed by a significant increase. (2) The analysis of Hefei City as a case sample discovered, that expansion of the provincial capital city boundaries can bring about the policy effect of about 0.002-0.371 units to Hefei. From the perspective of the development trend, in the early stage of policy implementation (2011-2014), the degree of policy effect enhancement is slow, and the positive green low-carbon effect has not been fully utilized. In the middle and late stages of policy implementation (2015-2019), the green low-carbon effect shows an increasing development. The policy effect coefficient peaked in 2016, with a value of 0.371. (3) After the implementation of the “strong provincial capital” strategy, the efficient utilization of infrastructure construction, the reduction of industrial transfer, the positive externalities of industrial agglomeration, and the expansion of the city’s financial autonomy are the mechanism paths that generate positive green and low-carbon effects in the later stages of policy implementation.","PeriodicalId":510399,"journal":{"name":"Polish Journal of Environmental Studies","volume":"7 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140661824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, to detect single and mixed viral infections of grapevine in two central viticulture regions of Azerbaijan, a total of 166 samples showing virus-like symptoms including yellows, reddening, fan leaf, mosaic, leaf rolling, and shortening of internodes were collected during the growing seasons of 2022-2023 from different vineyards and subjected to ELISA and RT-PCR analyses. Plant samples were initially assayed using the one-step assay AgriStrip based on lateral flow immunochromatography and DAS-ELISA with specific antisera for Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV), Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 1 (GLRaV-1), Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 2 (GLRaV-2), Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 3 (GLRaV-3), and Grapevine leafroll-associated virus 4 (GLRaV-4). Following serological tests, 65% (108 out of 166) of the examined samples exhibited a positive result for one or more of the specified viruses. Total RNA was extracted, and synthesized cDNA was used to amplify a part of the coat protein (CP) gene in RT-PCR using specific primers. Amplicons of the expected size of 1560 bp, 401 bp, 600 bp, 942 bp, 500 bp, and 272 bp were amplified for the mentioned viruses, respectively (but not from healthy samples). The result of this study can be used in the management strategies of these viruses in grapevine-producing areas of Azerbaijan.","PeriodicalId":510399,"journal":{"name":"Polish Journal of Environmental Studies","volume":"31 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140665978","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, understanding of the responses of SOC in alpine ecosystems to climate change is quite limited, especially in the seasonal-frozen soil zone. In order to understand the impact of soil moisture changes on the carbon cycle in alpine mountain ecosystems, we established two sample plots of the semi-shady and semi-sunny slopes in the subalpine meadow zone of the eastern part of Qilian Mountains, and collected soil samples to investigate the spatial and temporal changes of SOC and soil moisture and their relationships. The study indicated that the SOC content showed significant surface aggregation during the plant growing season, and that the influence of soil moisture on SOC was different in different slope directions and soil depths. The influence of soil moisture on SOC was greater on the semi-shady slope than on the semi-sunny slope. Among different soil layer depths, the soil moisture most significantly affected SOC in the soil layer of 20-40 cm. This study provides a theoretical basis for the study of carbon stocks and carbon cycling at high altitudes.","PeriodicalId":510399,"journal":{"name":"Polish Journal of Environmental Studies","volume":"58 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140661909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
