One main area of research that has seen an adoption of the technology is the healthcare sector. The people in need of healthcare services find it very expensive this is particularly true in developing countries. As a result, this project is an attempt to solve a healthcare problem currently society is facing. The main objective of the project was to design a remote healthcare system. It’s comprised of three main parts. The first part being, detection of patient’s vitals using sensors, second for sending data to cloud storage and the last part was providing the detected data for remote viewing. Remote viewing of the data enables a doctor or guardian to monitor a patient’s health progress away from hospital premises.\u0000The Internet of Things (IoT) concepts have been widely used to interconnect the available medical resources and offer smart, reliable, and effective healthcare service to the patients. Health monitoring for active and assisted living is one of the paradigms that can use the IoT advantages to improve the patient’s lifestyle. In this project, I have presented an IoT architecture customized for healthcare applications. The aim of the project was to come up with a Remote Health Monitoring System that can be made with locally available sensors with a view to making it affordable if it were to be mass produced.\u0000Hence the proposed architecture collects the sensor data through Arduino microcontroller and relays it to the cloud where it is processed and analyzed for remote viewing. Feedback actions based on the analyzed data can be sent back to the doctor or guardian through Email and/or SMS alerts","PeriodicalId":510160,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Science, Communication and Technology","volume":"135 38","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140977173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

S","doi":"10.48175/ijarsct-18271","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.48175/ijarsct-18271","url":null,"abstract":"This project describes the design of a high-speed latched comparator with a 6- bit resolution, full-scale voltage of 1.6 V, and a sampling frequency of 250 MHz. The comparator is designed in a 0.35 µm CMOS process with a supply voltage of 3.3 V. The comparator is designed for time-interleaved band-pass sigma-delta ADC. Due to the nature of the target application, it should be possible to turn off the components to avoid static power consumption. The comparator of this design implements the turn-off technique when it is not in use. The settling time of the comparator is less than half the clock cycle which means it does not affect the functionality of the band-pass sigma-delta ADC in terms of speed. The simulation results are derived using Cadence environment. The results show that the comparator has 6-bit resolution and power consumption of 4.13 mw for the worst-case frequency of 250 MHz. It fulfills all the performance requirements, most of them with large margins","PeriodicalId":510160,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Science, Communication and Technology","volume":"8 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140976424","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"An Improved Fire Detection Approach Based On Yolo-v8 for Smart Cities","authors":"Madhukara S, Divya Reddy P R","doi":"10.48175/ijarsct-18253","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.48175/ijarsct-18253","url":null,"abstract":"Systems for detecting fires are essential for preventing property damage and saving lives. defending people and property. Conventional techniques frequently depend on sensor-based strategies, which have limitations in intricate settings. In order to improve accuracy and efficiency, this study suggests an intelligent fire detection system that makes use of machine learning and computer vision techniques. The technology analyzes video streams in real time using deep learning algorithms to identify fire incidents based on visual patterns and attributes. Future research on fire detection systems will benefit from the information this study will provide for smoker and fire detection issues in both indoor and outdoor situations. The improved fire detection technique for smart cities that is based on the YOLOv8 algorithm is the smart fire detection system (SFDS), which uses deep learning to identify fire-specific properties in real-time. The SFDS strategy may be more cost-effective, reduce false alarms, and improve fire detection accuracy when compared to traditional methods.\u0000It can also be extended to find other intriguing aspects of smart cities, such as gas leakage or flooding. The proposed smart city framework consists of four primary levels: the application layer (i), cloud layer (iii), fog layer (ii), and internet of things layer (iv). The recommended technique uses fog, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things layer to collect and understand data in real time. This reduces the chance of damage to persons or property and enables faster reaction times. The SFDS demonstrated state- of-the-art performance in terms of precision and recall, with a high precision rate of 97.1% across all classes. Among the potential applications are intelligent security systems, forest fire monitoring, and public space fire safety management.","PeriodicalId":510160,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Science, Communication and Technology","volume":"10 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140974292","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"Student Attendance using RFID System","authors":"Dr H Girish, Hemanthi, Indu Bai, Jagruti, Lovely Kumari","doi":"10.48175/ijarsct-18252","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.48175/ijarsct-18252","url":null,"abstract":"An RFID-based attendance system leverages radio frequency identification technology to streamline and automate the process of tracking attendance in various settings, such as schools, workplaces, and events. This system utilizes RFID tags, which are small electronic devices containing unique identification codes, embedded in cards or badges assigned to individuals. When a person with an RFID-enabled badge enters a designated area, RFID readers detect their presence by wirelessly communicating with the tags. This information is then transmitted to a central database or software system, where attendance records are automatically updated in real-time. Compared to traditional methods like manual entry or barcode scanning, RFID-based systems offer greater efficiency, accuracy, and convenience, reducing administrative burden and eliminating possibilities of human error. Additionally, they provide valuable data insights for monitoring attendance patterns, enhancing security, and optimizing resource allocation.","PeriodicalId":510160,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Science, Communication and Technology","volume":"67 45","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140971810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
