The puppies were killed by using xylazine 4ml and ketamine 8ml, the lambs were already slaughtered, the nasal cavity was arrived by using the wire sow and the olfactory mucosa was immediately obtained and immersed in 10% formalin for 24 hour, then the histological technique was applied to obtain slide of 5 µm thickness and stained by haematoxylin and Eosin, and examined under light microscopic. The present result, revealed that the olfactory epithelium of the puppies was taller than in lambs and the sensory hairs was crowded in both species, also the lamina properia of the lambs showed more mucus glands continues with surface.","PeriodicalId":507877,"journal":{"name":"Journal for Research in Applied Sciences and Biotechnology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140456927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Four tuber sizes (10-20 g, 20-30 g, 30-40 g, and 40-50 g) and three plant spacings (60 x 15 cm, 60 x 30 cm, and 60 x 45 cm) were examined. The study found significant effects of both plant spacing and tuber size on various growth and yield parameters. Increasing plant spacing generally led to increased shoot growth and tuber weight per plant but decreased plant height and overall tuber yield. Similarly, larger tuber sizes were associated with higher emergence rates and yields. The 'Desiree' potato variety showed the highest total tuber yield (62.363 t/ha) when planted with 40–50 g tubers at a spacing of 60 x 15 cm, followed by a yield of 41.136 t/ha with 30–40 g tubers at a spacing of 60 x 30 cm. Optimal production was achieved with a spacing of 60 x 15 cm, and using 40–50 g tubers resulted in the highest yield.","PeriodicalId":507877,"journal":{"name":"Journal for Research in Applied Sciences and Biotechnology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139840221","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study examines the plasma behavior under varying flow rates of argon gas. A primary objective is to identify the optimal flow rate that facilitates the application of the generated plasma in sterilization and bacterial eradication operations. The findings establish a correlation between argon flow and critical plasma parameters, specifically noting variations in electron temperature (Te) & electron number density (ne). Crucially, the study demonstrates that lower argon flow rates are more effective in generating active species such as hydroxyl and NO reactive species. The results of this investigation hold significant promise for advancing our comprehension of plasma jet technology's utility in sterilization or medical treatment processes, emphasizing the importance of gas flow optimization for these applications.","PeriodicalId":507877,"journal":{"name":"Journal for Research in Applied Sciences and Biotechnology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139850551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
