The Toraja Church in its confession also discusses eschatology but does not adequately explain the concept of a sustainable world. With these issues in mind, the aim of this research is to enrich the Toraja Church Confession's conversation regarding the world and the end times from Jürgen Moltmann's eschatological perspective. This research was conducted by library research approach. The result of the research showed that the concept of a sustainable world must be understood in the cosmic escatology dimension, namely a new heaven and earth in quality. There, the Church plays an active role today as an eschatological response to ecology.Abstrak. Gereja Toraja dalam pengakuan imannya juga membahas eskatologi, namun belum menjelaskan secara memadai mengenai konsep dunia yang lestari. Dengan persoalan tersebut, maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperkaya percakapan Pengakuan Gereja Toraja mengenai dunia dan zaman akhir dari perspektif eskatologi Jürgen Moltmann. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsep dunia yang lestari harus dipahami dalam dimensi eskatologi kosmik, yaitu langit dan bumi yang baru secara kualitas. This research explored into the prophetic call of Christian teachers, viewing it through the perspective of theologian, Paul Tillich. Starting from the assumption that that teaching carries profound spiritual significance, the research explores how Tillich's insights impact modern Christian educators in comprehending the prophetic aspect of their vocation. By using a descriptive quantitative approach, this research tried to discover the manifestation of the prophetic dimensions of teachers in their daily lives. Through a survey, researchers explored their perceptions regarding the prophetic calling of teachers. The research result showed that religious teachers demonstrate the meaningfulness of prophetic teacher values through their willingness to be part of an inclusive community, teaching life values using inspirational stories, and practicing Christian values to influence society. The implementation of Paul Tillich's theological insights into the prophetic calling of Christian teachers suggested that Christian pedagogy is a kairos moment when the transformative potential of learners becomes a reality by God's grace.Abstrak. Studi ini mendalami konsep panggilan profetik guru-guru Kristiani melalui lensa teolog terkenal, Paul Tillich. Didasarkan pada keyakinan bahwa panggilan mengajar memiliki signifikansi spiritual yang mendalam, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi implikasi dari wawasan teologis Tillich terhadap pendidik Kristiani kontemporer. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mencoba untuk menemukan wujud dari dimensi profetik guru-guru dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Melalui survey, peneliti menelusuri persepsi mereka mengenai panggilan kenabian para guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru agama menampakkan kebermaknaan nilai profetik guru melalui kesediaan untuk menjadi bagian komunitas inklusif, pengajaran nilai-nilai kehidupan dengan menggunakan cerita-cerita inspiratif, dan pengamalan nilai-nilai Kristiani untuk mempengaruhi masyarakat. The Pentecostal mission inherited the way of colonialism in conveying the Good News to humanity. The imposition and universalisation of the doctrine to every tribe, culture, religion, and group is a common way to do it. Conversion from other religions and proselytization from other Christian sects become the achievement and measure of the mission's success. This article examines the mission's authentic meaning that can change the paradigm of conversion and proselytization as the mission's success. I used the perspective of hospitality and theopoetics to construct the authentic meaning of the Pentecostal mission. The research method used is constructive theology by Gordon Dester Kaufman. The research result showed that hospitality contributes to the courage to destroy the dividing walls of tribes, races, religions, and groups. Meanwhile, with inspiration, imagination, sensation, and beauty principles, theopoetics can provide space for little voices and encouragement to carry out social transformation.Abstrak. Misi Pentakostal mewarisi cara ekspansi agama dalam menyampaikan Kabar Baik kepada umat manusia. Pemaksaan dan universalisasi doktrin kepada setiap suku, budaya, agama, dan golongan menjadi cara yang lumrah dilakukan. Konversi dari agama lain dan proselitasi dari aliran Kristen yang lain menjadi pencapaian dan ukuran keberhasilan misi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji makna otentik misi yang dapat mengubah paradigma konversi dan proselitasi sebagai keberhasilan misi. Penulis menggunakan perspektif hospitalitas dan teopoetik dari Gordon Dester Kaufman untuk mengonstruksi makna otentik misi Pentakostal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hospitalitas berkontribusi bagi keberanian menghancurkan tembok pemisah suku, ras, agama, dan golongan. Christian Religion Extension Workers face great challenges in carrying out their duties, so they require a high work ethics to maximize their performance. The aim of this research was to analyze various factors that influence the performance of Christian Religion Extension Workers. Through quantitative research, an analysis of factors was carried out that had a significant influence on the work ethics of Christian Religion Extension Workers at the Ministry of Religion, Toba Regency. The research result showed that among the career development system factor, salary factor, work environment factor, social factor, competency factor and appreciation factor, the career development system factor is the most dominant in increasing the work ethics of Christian Religion Extension Workers. Thus, it can be concluded that the incentive in the form of challenges and opportunities to improve one's career can increase work ethics.Abstrak. Penyuluh Agama Kristen menghadapi tantangan besar dalam menjalankan tugas-tugasnya sehingga membutuhkan etos kerja yang tinggi agar dapat memaksimalkan kinerja mereka. Tujuan riset ini adalah untuk menganalisis berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja para Penyuluh Agama Kristen. Melalui riset kuantitatif dilakukan analisis faktor yang memberi pengaruh signifikan terhadap etos kerja para Penyuluh Agama Kristen di Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Toba. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di antara faktor sistem pengembangan karir, faktor gaji, faktor lingkungan kerja, faktor sosial masyarakat, faktor kompetensi dan faktor apresiasi, faktor sistem pengembangan karir paling dominan dapat meningkatkan etos kerja para Penyuluh Agama Kristen. Poverty is a well-known and complex issue. Poverty has a bad impact on the poor. Thus, poverty is the duty of society, including the church. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between liturgy and poverty. The homeless liturgy is the phrase selected to describe liturgical practices in the face of poverty. This essay was conducted by socio-liturgical studies and field research. This essay suggests that the homeless liturgy is a manifestation of the church's preference for the poor, which speaks hope-lament, liberation, and promotes transformation.Abstrak. Kemiskinan adalah permasalahan klasik dan kompleks. Kemiskinan berdampak pada keberlangsungan hidup orang banyak. Untuk itu, kemiskinan bukan hanya menjadi tanggung jawab negara, melainkan juga masyarakat dan termasuk gereja. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi relasi-interaksi liturgi dan kemiskinan. Homeless liturgy merupakan istilah yang dipilih untuk merepresentasikan praktik berliturgi di tengah-tengah kemiskinan. Using Hans Urs von Balthasar and Kallistos Ware's thoughts on apocatastasis as a lens through which I read Colossians 1:20, I argue that this restoration of all things demonstrates God's Christocentric and comprehensive redemptive work. In Christ, this comprehensive redemption brings a memory to the goodness and beauty of God's creation and has a dimension of hope for all creatures, to be restored to become new creations.Abstrak. Artikel ini berupaya memperlihatkan karya pemulihan Allah atas segala sesuatu yang bertujuan untuk mengembalikan seluruh ciptaan kepada tatanan penciptaan. Discourses concerning the dialectical coming of the Kingdom of God in Christian theology are debatbale, including its time and relationship to the present. This study focuses to find a connection between the dialectic of the Kingdom of God and social transformation, and its implications to the present. In reaching that goal, the Indicative-Imperative method in bibilical ethics is applied. It means that the works and the will of God become the indicative, and the God’s commands or men’s responsibilities become the the imperative. Based on this research, Christian ethics is performed not only as hope and anticipation to the coming of the Kingdom but also as respond and participaton to the Kingdom’s mission. There is a close connection between the Kingdom of God and social transformation. Therefore, the church can perform the Kingdom’s mission in the world as an agent of social transformation.Abstrak. Wacana tentang dialektika kedatangan Kerajaan Allah dalam teologi Kristen mengandung perdebatan, baik terkait waktu kedatangan maupun kaitannya dengan kehidupan saat ini. Fokus tulisan ini adalah meneliti kaitan antara dialektika Kerajaan Allah dan transformasi sosial dan implikasinya bagi kehidupan masa kini. Dalam rangka itu penulis menggunakan pendekatan Indikatif-Imperatif dalam etika Alkitab. Pendekatan ini menjadikan tindakan dan kehendak Allah sebagai indikatif, dan perintah Allah atau tanggung jawab manusia sebagai imperatifnya. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa etika Kristen dilakukan bukan hanya sebagai harapan dan antisipasi terhadap datangnya Kerajaan Allah, melainkan juga sebagai respons dan partisipasi terhadap misi Kerajaan Allah. Ada kaitan erat antara Kerajaan Allah dan transformasi sosial. Alpha generation is the first truly post-Christian generation and is numerically the largest in population demographic. This makes the Alpha generation the most influential religious force. This research was conducted using the literature study method. The results of this research show that this generation is spiritually shaped a lot by digital and virtual media. Therefore, the church needs to utilize digital and virtual media in its mission to evangelize them, while maintaining the role of the family, especially fathers.Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan strategi gereja dalam misi penginjilan kepada generasi Alpha. Generasi Alpha merupakan generasi pertama yang benar-benar pasca Kristen dan secara numerik merupakan yang terbesar dalam demografi kependudukan. Not all individuals with same-sex sexual attraction want to express their sexual orientation, there are individuals who actually want to build a heterosexual marriage. There are various reasons that encourage this, including quite a lot of intentions to avoid the social stigma of being an individual with same-sex sexual attraction. However, various studies have revealed that there are positive reasons for marriage, one of which is religiosity. This research was a qualitative research using a case study method on a case of heterosexual marriage as a form of religious coping for a Christian man who identifies himself as religious with same-sex sexual attraction. The study showed that religiosity forms adaptive meanings for him to commit to living married life as a form of religious coping.Abstrak. Tidak semua individu dengan ketertarikan seksual sesama jenis ingin mengekspresikan orientasi seksualnya. Ada individu yang justru ingin membangun perkawinan heteroseksual. Ada berbagai alasan yang mendorong hal tersebut, seperti cukup banyak yang niatnya untuk menghindari stigma sosial sebagai individu dengan ketertarikan seksual sesama jenis. Meski begitu, berbagai penelitian telah mengungkapkan adanya alasan positif untuk menikah salah satunya adalah religiusitas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus terhadap satu kasus perkawinan heteroseksual sebagai bentuk coping religius pada seorang laki-laki kristen yang mengidentifikasi dirinya sebagai religius dengan ketertarikan seksual sesama jenis. This condition makes it difficult to provide theological education that is hospitable and transformative in the lives of learners. Meanwhile, the Bible has shown that hospitality is an important theme in both the Old and New Testaments. God is a hospitable God and offers hospitality to his people. According to the author, hospitality also needs to be presented in theological education in Indonesia. From the theoretical framework of hospitality and theological education, the author analyses Matthew 11:28-30 to find the principles of hospitality relevant to theological education in Indonesia. The author examines various thoughts on hospitality through a literature study. The selected text was studied using an exegetical approach and inductive interpretation. Based on the analysis, it was found that Jesus' learning environment differs from that of the Scribes. Jesus' learning environment is inclusive, liberating and collaborative.
