However, it is also important to reveal and develop the capacities of the people and systems that the disabled person interacts with, based on a holistic approach in the field of disability and the approach of the individual in his/her environment. In this context, it is thought that studies to be conducted with family members who spend a large part of their time with the disabled person and provide care to the disabled person will contribute to the welfare of disabled individuals and the field of disability. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the demographic and social characteristics of family members who provide care to the disabled person and their burden of care. The study was designed with a quantitative research design. The sample of the study consists of 263 caregivers residing in a province of Turkey and benefiting from home care support. Within the scope of the study, the \"Burden of Caregiving Scale\" (Burden Interview) developed by Zarit, Reever and Bach-Peterson and validated for the Turkish population by Erdem and İnci in 2007 was used. As a result of the study, it was determined that most of the caregivers were women (87.1%), housewives (85.9%), married (81%), had children (84%), graduated from primary school (44%), had a large family structure (56.7%), lived with the disabled person (98.5%), and did not receive training to provide care (92.4%). It was determined that there was no significant relationship between the care burden of caregivers and their family type, living with the disabled person, receiving education for providing care, duration of caregiving, educational status, occupation, and income; there was a significant relationship between the care burden of the caregiver and age, gender, marital status, degree of closeness with the disabled person, having children, and disability group of the disabled person. These children grow up interacting with both the broad and diverse cultural environment of Germany and Turkish culture. Turkish media supports these young individuals in keeping their sense of belonging alive and sustaining their cultural heritage. The interest of children in media is influenced by the impact of families and their surroundings. Families may encourage Turkish media, believing it will strengthen their children's language skills and cultural identity. On the other hand, the social environment and education system in Germany can either support or hinder the integration of young people into different cultures. Especially with the proliferation of digital media, Turkish-origin youth can easily interact with media and culture from Turkey. Access to Turkish content via the internet increases young people's interest in Turkish media and strengthens their cultural ties. In conclusion, the interest of Turkish-origin children raised in Germany in Turkish media is closely related to their efforts to preserve and maintain their cultural identity. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a causality approach. The data used is primary data obtained through a questionnaire with a Likert scale distributed to all employees of PT PLN (Persero) UIK SBS. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression to determine the effect of the independent variable (work motivation) on the dependent variable (employee performance). The results showed that work motivation has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. This finding indicates that increasing work motivation can improve employee performance, so companies are expected to formulate effective strategies to increase work motivation to achieve optimal performance.","PeriodicalId":506660,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Sciences","volume":"64 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141807376","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cultural symbols serve not only as visual or symbolic elements when shaping the identity of brands, but also as an important means of establishing emotional and cultural bonds with target audiences. It was also emphasized in the study that these ties create a feeling of trust, belonging and shared values in consumers, thus having the potential to increase brand loyalty. For public relations professionals, the use of cultural symbols is of critical importance in various areas such as crisis management, consumer relations and social responsibility, beyond creating brand identity. Cultural symbols help a brand connect deeply with its target audience and appeal to their emotional world. Brands that communicate in harmony with local culture and traditions gain deeper acceptance within that community. At the same time, cultural symbols contribute to the brand gaining a competitive advantage in the international arena by managing the way it is perceived in local communities and the global market. With the global access opportunities brought by the digital age, the potential of brands to reach a global audience through cultural symbols has increased. However, this also brings with it the requirements of cultural sensitivity and ethical responsibility. It is critical for a brand to be careful when communicating with cultural symbols to avoid potential misunderstandings and avoid situations that could cause a negative reaction among consumers. Symbols used in harmony with local cultural values enable brands to establish strong ties with local communities and receive support from these ties. Additionally, integrating cultural symbols with universal themes increases the ability of brands to exist in global markets and contributes to effective communication at the international level. The effectiveness of cultural symbols is evaluated through criteria such as audience engagement, brand recall and sentiment analysis. Social listening tools and ethnographic research are critical to understanding how cultural symbols are perceived and resonate. Using these tools together provides a solid framework for evaluating the impact of cultural symbols in public relations. Within the scope of the research, in order to understand the cultural, ethnic and religious identity construction processes of the Armenian community in Istanbul, the existing academic literature on Armenians in Turkey has been analysed in detail, and field research based on observation and in-depth interviews has been conducted. In line with the historical background ranging from the Ottoman millet system to the Republic's policies of creating a homogenous nation, from the democratisation movement to the EU accession process, the construction process of Armenian identity has been analysed in three stages in the light of the relevant theoretical debates. Firstly, the historical development of different legal statuses evolving from non-Muslims to minorities is analysed; secondly, the reform process brought about by the EU membership process is examined. While analysing this process, the basic dynamics that contributed to the formation of Armenian identity were first identified. Secondly the prominent changes in the legal, political, social and cultural fields that accelerated the reconstruction of the Armenian community's identity by the EU reform process were tried to be identified. Finally, the social dilemmas experienced in the aftermath of the reforms are analysed and the ongoing identity struggle of the Armenian community is outlined. While the EU membership process allows the Armenian community in Turkey to express their identities more openly and freely, social insecurity and dilemmas prevent this process from being fully realised. The study analyses the theoretical approaches to identity construction and the political, economic, social and cultural transformations experienced by the Armenian community in Turkey and offers suggestions on the processes of identity struggle. In particular, it is emphasised that overcoming social insecurities and dilemmas is critical for the sustainable survival of Armenian identity. In this context, it is concluded that more inclusive and supportive policies should be developed in order to preserve the Armenian identity and increase its social acceptance.
