The study examines compliance variations with the 20-20 rule in two distinct groups, Group-I (Subjects who got daily reminders) and Group-II (Subjects who did not get any reminders). The occurrence of symptoms related to digital eye strains were also compared between the subjects in the two groups and from baseline.\u0000Results: A significant proportion of respondents were not aware of the 20-20 rule and do not actively implement it. Taking visual breaks reduce digital eye strain as both Group-1 and Group-2 generally have lower symptom prevalence compared to the Baseline group. However, Group-2 tends to have higher symptom prevalence compared to Group-1 indicating that reminders may play an important role in reduction in symptoms of digital eye strain.\u0000Conclusion: The 20-20-20 rule is a simple and effective technique to help prevent Computer Vision Syndrome and reduce the risk of Digital Eye Strain caused by prolonged computer use or digital device use. However, a lack of knowledge regarding the 20-20-20 rule prevails and it is important to spread awareness about the importance of visual breaks during digital work. Since getting proper reminders can enhance the compliance, incorporation of reminders in digital devices can be useful for people who often suffer from DES due to lack of proper breaks.\u0000\u0000Keywords: Digital Eye Strain, Computer Vision Syndrome, Dry Eyes, 20-20 Rule, Visual Breaks

The discussion highlights key findings related to diabetes as a prevalent cause, wound location, treatment approaches, and the utilization of serological tests. Diabetes emerged as a significant risk factor for chronic wounds, with 90% of the respondents having a family history of diabetes, and 70% currently under medication for diabetes management. These findings emphasize the crucial role of diabetes in contributing to non-healing chronic wounds. Healthcare providers should prioritize diabetic patients for preventive wound care measures and regular assessments to reduce the incidence of chronic wounds. The survey reveals that a substantial proportion of chronic wounds (75%) are diabetes-related, further supporting the link between diabetes and wound development. Infection-related wounds (10%), autoimmune-related wounds (3%), and other causes (5%) also contribute to the overall burden of chronic wounds. Understanding the various causative factors allows healthcare professionals to tailor treatment plans accordingly and address the specific needs of individual patients. The location of wounds showed a gender disparity, with a higher prevalence of chronic wounds in male limbs (74%) compared to female limbs (26%). Similarly, chronic wounds in other sites were more common in males (74%) than females (26%). The reasons for these gender-based differences warrant further investigation and consideration in treatment planning. In terms of treatment and management, nearly all respondents (100%) were on multiple antibiotics for wound care, indicating the widespread use of antimicrobial therapy. Additionally, a significant portion of respondents (57%) reported trying alternative treatment approaches, suggesting the need for a more diverse and holistic approach to chronic wound management. Hospitalization for chronic wound care was common, with 80% of the respondents having been hospitalized multiple times. This suggests that chronic wounds often require extensive medical attention and resources, making the management of chronic wounds a challenging and resource- intensive aspect of healthcare. The utilization of wound-related serological tests was relatively low, with only 3% of respondents undergoing such tests. This indicates a potential gap in healthcare practices, as serological tests can provide valuable diagnostic information for guiding wound management strategies. Increased awareness and promotion of serological tests among healthcare providers could lead to better wound care outcomes. Overall, the survey findings underscore the complexities and challenges associated with non-healing chronic wounds, especially in the context of diabetes-related wounds. The study highlights the need for comprehensive and personalized wound management strategies, i

The lungs are closely associated with the sanguine humour, and, any imbalance in this humour may lead to various respiratory disorders and other health issues. In USM, the diseases are understood based on Asbāb (Causes), Alamat (signs, and symptoms), and Mahiyat-e-Mardi (pathogenesis). This study aims to describe the pathogenesis of Amraz-e-Riya (lung disease) for a better understanding of the disease and proper treatment.\u0000Methodology: Literature related to the pathogenesis of lung disease was surveyed from classical books of Ṭibb-i-Unani, their translations, commentaries, previous dissertations, journals, proceedings, etc.\u0000Result and conclusion: Unani physicians explained respiration is completed by two movements and two resting phases. The inhaled air moderates the heat of Rūḥ(Pneuma), which is very important for maintaining health and life because its disturbance has immediate consequences on health. By exhalation, the lungs expel smoky vapours from the body because inappropriate or bad air is likely to dissolve the Ḥarārat Gharīziyya (innate heat). Causative factors of varicose veins are multifactorial, of which one can be attributed to constant sitting or standing. Today a lot of occupation and profession has sprung up where people are required to either stand or sit for prolong period of time which alarms the risk of getting varicose veins. Women are at higher risk of getting varicose veins as compared to men. There are numerous studies which has proven the relationship of constant standing and varicosities of lower limb, but only few studies are available showing the relationship of constant sitting and prevalence of varicose veins. Thus the aim of this study was to find out the prevalence of varicose veins in female population whose nature of job demands prolong period of sitting hours. 30 women (10 in each group), aged 20-45 years and fulfilling the inclusion criteria were enrolled for the study. Each of them were thoroughly examined by means of inspection and palpation for varicose veins. At the end of the study, data was collected and statistically analysed using the appropriate statistical tests. Results of the study showed that out of 30 women 15 were suffering from varicose veins indicating high prevalence of varicose veins in female population having prolong sitting jobs. Functional Reach Test (FRT), which was developed by Duncan et al. in 1990. FRT is defined as the maximal distance one can reach forward beyond arm’s length while maintaining a fixed Base of Support (BOS) in standing. The outcome measures of dynamic balance (DB) are important elements of examination, which measures correlate with specific age but how anthropometric variables (e.g.: arm length, foot length, height, weight) which might influence balance is still unclear. The influence of arm length, foot length on dynamic balance in children is not well understood. Hence there is a need to investigate the relationship between arm length, foot length on dynamic balance in children. The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship of arm length, foot length on dynamic balance in 9-12 years old children.\u0000METHODOLOGY: This descriptive study (correlational study) was conducted among 41 children with typical development of age 9-12 years old (50% male and 50% females). Arm length (males 58.6 + 4.0; females 58.7 + 3.6), foot length (males 20.8 + 1.4; females 20.6 + 1.6). Dynamic balance was assessed using FRT, the participants were asked to reach three times and the scores were recorded.\u0000STATISTICAL ANALYSIS: The collected data was summarized using the descriptive statistics such mean +S.D. (standard deviation) to find the relationship between the arm length, foot length with dynamic balance in 9-12-years-old children. Pearson correlation coefficient is used, p value <0.05 was considered as significant. The data was analyzed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 21. \u0000RESULTS: The mean distance reached by the children aged 9-12 years old were (males 22.2 + 5.1; females 22.9 + 6.6). The obtained p value for Pearson correlation coefficient is >0.05 and hence there is between arm length, foot length and dynamic balance in children of 9-12 years old.\u0000CONCLUSION: Dynamic balance has correlation with arm length and foot length. Hence it suggests that the arm length and foot length does influence the score of dynamic balance on FRT in children. \u0000\u0000Keywords: Arm length, foot length, dynamic balance, children, 9-12-year-olds
