Nonetheless, the lack of participation in this program among rural hospitals has contributed to the growing urban-rural health disparities. This paper aims to identify policy solutions to improve health outcomes of vulnerable populations who reside in resource-poor at-home healthcare agencies, nursing homes, and hospitals in rural regions. This paper finds that rural health outcomes are significantly worse than urban parts. At the same time, it also shows that African Americans and Hispanics have higher mortality and morbidity rates than that of their White counterparts, demonstrating the need for policymakers to further address the unmet medical needs of vulnerable populations, such as racial minorities and those with chronic conditions. Therefore, this paper proposes that the government allocates more healthcare funding toward resource-poor urban hospitals. Moreover, insurers should not penalize rural hospitals with a higher proportion of high-risk patients for having higher-than-average hospital readmission rates.","PeriodicalId":506419,"journal":{"name":"Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media","volume":"134 39","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141810827","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to deeply analyze gender differences in college students' perceptions of online learning to promote educational equity and quality. To assess their perceptions of online learning quantitatively, the study has drawn on and improved the existing measurement scales by adding new dimensions of students' online perceptions. This study randomly recruited college students (n=189) as the research sample and used an empirical study methodology to methodically gather and examine data to confirm the disparities in how students of various genders perceive online learning. According to the study, there are notable distinctions between how male and female students interact, participate, and contribute to online learning. Female students were more likely to receive support from the instructor and construct knowledge in social interactions, while male students were more adept at independent exploratory learning. The study explains the multiplicity and complexity of gender differences in college students' perceptions of online education and gives recommendations for research findings.","PeriodicalId":506419,"journal":{"name":"Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media","volume":"104 40","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141820832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different countries applied different communication strategies to cope with the critical situation. Many of these approaches have been criticized for their effectiveness. Therefore, this review article critically examines it through the lens of crisis management and communicative strategies, particularly its application in the early stages of Covid-19. It explores crisis communication from three angles: content, channels, and key difficulties during the early stages of the pandemic. Highlighting fear's dual role in crisis management and the challenges of misinformation on social media, it emphasizes the need for dynamic fear negotiation and enhanced health literacy. The review offers insights for future studies on fear communication and misinformation, stressing the importance of improving online representation of medical professionals to establish trust and regulate public behavior during crises.","PeriodicalId":506419,"journal":{"name":"Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media","volume":"117 27","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141821255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, for monolinguals, CS can be seen negatively which would interfere a smooth conversation between monolinguals and foreign language speakers. This article investigates the relationship between oral English proficiency and the attitudes towards CS among Chinese English learners, aiming to give instructions for multilingual speakers in using CS when communicate with monolinguals. Through questionnaire and the following data analysis, the research discovers that oral English proficiency is positively related with attitudes towards CS among Chinese participants. Consequently, conclusion can be drawn that people with higher foreign oral language proficiency would have more positive attitudes and higher acceptance towards CS. Based on this result, suggestions for bilingual and multilingual speakers can be made that multilingual speakers can use CS with people with higher foreign language proficiency in daily communication more casually and assuredly, because they are higher possibility that they will not have great aversion or negative emotions towards this language phenomenon. On the contrary, when communicating with monolingual speakers, multilingual speakers should try to use CS as less as possible, even if sometimes it is difficult to express it in local language.","PeriodicalId":506419,"journal":{"name":"Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media","volume":"110 39","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141821223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Social media has become a dynamic and multifaceted platform for contemporary individuals to access and share information. Its functionality has evolved, and it has become one of the most rapidly evolving and diverse channels for disseminating information. Social media has broadened people's knowledge of the world and planted many \"seeds\" in people's minds. For instance, certain regions are often associated with certain \"stereotypes,\" which leads to the phenomenon of people referring to a certain region and relying on information they have encountered online as their initial impression. Interestingly, these stereotypes that circulate on social media have an unexpected effect on the development of local businesses, and to a certain extent, they can help local enterprises save a significant amount of investment costs in marketing and publicity. This study identifies and categorizes the types of \"regional stereotypes\" that emerge on social media and examines the marketing strategies that utilize them. After identifying the key principles of effective marketing, we aim to enhance their efficiency in identifying business opportunities for regional development and reducing unnecessary redundant processes. Through the use of data analysis, case studies, and macro-level discussions, the authors found that stereotypes are effective in business marketing when they are regularly matched.","PeriodicalId":506419,"journal":{"name":"Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media","volume":"10 21","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141822446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It studies how this film questions olden gender stereotypes, encourages female empowerment and raises issues of gender discrimination and social classes. Through an analysis of the details in the movie's plot and characters, especially Elle Woods, this research delves deep into numerous feminist topics. These include going against the norm of the 'dumb blonde' stereotype, showing that women are not one-dimensional but multifaceted individuals, emphasizing the importance of female solidarity and mentorship, as well as pointing out gender bias that exists in male-dominated fields. By referencing both feminist film theory and intersectionality, this article points out where the movie fails regarding racial diversity, which limits its perspective portrayal-wise. Further, it discusses why \"Legally Blonde\" should be taken as more than just a movie but rather viewed from a broader perspective, considering its implications on popular media portrayal of feminists. Even with its downsides, this research suggests that \"Legally Blonde\" stands high among cultural texts that provoke audiences to rethink norms governing gender roles expected by society, in turn appreciating women for who they are and what they can offer.","PeriodicalId":506419,"journal":{"name":"Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media","volume":"107 41","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141821648","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, existing cases of these collaborations show problems of misunderstanding, lack of trust and involvement in the interactions between these parties in supporting and educating children. Meanwhile, the mechanism and system of collaboration have rarely been analysed, thus not yielding abundant suggestions for updating and improving the interactions of the parties involved. Therefore, this article examines how addressing information asymmetry and building trust can help improve the situation. This article concludes that a free flow of information and continuous collaboration can establish trust between family, school and community, increasing the involvement of these parties and consequently benefiting children. Therefore, this article suggests schools should actively contact and communicate with families and communities, establish a flow of information and utilise resources and efforts to ensure a conclusive and collaborative education for all children.","PeriodicalId":506419,"journal":{"name":"Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media","volume":"117 32","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141821251","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Chinese educational system strongly emphasizes written examinations and rote memorization. These factors often result in a relative lack of focus on developing oral communication skills. This educational approach, when coupled with cultural factors that discourage public speaking and a fear of making mistakes, can have a profound effect on students' anxiety when required to speak in a foreign language. Additionally, the high societal expectations and pressure placed on students to excel academically can increase stress levels. This study investigates the impact of foreign language speaking anxiety on Chinese students, emphasizing its causes, manifestations, effects, and strategies for reduction. A literature analysis approach is employed to identify the key factors contributing to this anxiety, and specific ways in which it manifests among Chinese students are examined, such as avoidance of speaking in class and heightened nervousness during oral exams. Furthermore, the paper explores the broader effects of speaking anxiety on students' overall language acquisition and psychological well-being. To mitigate these challenges, the study proposes a series of strategies to reduce speaking anxiety, including creating a supportive learning environment, implementing positive reinforcement techniques, integrating anxiety-reducing activities into the curriculum, and providing psychological support. These findings underscore the need for educators to adopt comprehensive strategies to alleviate anxiety and foster an atmosphere conducive to active participation and communication. This research contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of foreign language speaking anxiety and offers practical recommendations to improve language education practices in China.","PeriodicalId":506419,"journal":{"name":"Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media","volume":"107 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141821763","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The need for innovation in English education has been widely acknowledged, but there are still shortcomings in using digital technology to empower foreign language teaching based on the current situation of English teaching. The purpose of this article is to examine the problems and obstacles that exist in traditional English education from the view of Urie Bronfenbrenner's Theory of Bioecology (Five Environmental Systems) and find innovative ways to reform English education in a network environment, where opportunities and challenges are present. To further promote the integration of information technology and college English education, this article proposes suggestions such as building an information teaching platform, establishing a systematic curriculum system, providing a diverse learning environment, improving the level of information-based teaching for teachers, innovating teaching evaluation systems, innovating college English teaching concepts, and constructing a long-term mechanism for the curriculum. By implementing these suggestions, universities can greatly improve the quality of English education and enhance the English proficiency and cultural literacy of college students.","PeriodicalId":506419,"journal":{"name":"Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media","volume":" 1245","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141823401","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, current research on this issue is largely fragmented, so it is important to assess what has been studied and gain meaningful insights through a structural review of the literature. This literature review analyzes the existing research on teacher well-being from theories, antecedents, outcomes, and interventions of teacher well-being. According to the literature review, four theoretical models are applied to analyze antecedents and outcomes of teacher well-being. Personal and organizational antecedents have positive or negative influences on teacher well-being. Teachers with high levels of well-being can improve teacher professional development, students academic success and mental health, and create supportive learning atmospheres and environments in school settings. Training in class management ability, emotional regulation ability, coping ability, interpersonal ability and work-life balance ability have become more critical and beneficial to teachers. Implications and recommendations for future research are proposed.","PeriodicalId":506419,"journal":{"name":"Lecture Notes in Education Psychology and Public Media","volume":"104 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141821578","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
