This process should exist since neutrinos are expected to couple to photons via magnetic dipole and transition moments. These moments are loop-induced and tiny in the Standard Model with neutrino masses but could be significantly enhanced in extended theories. As concrete example, we study the scattering of the two largest neutrino fluxes on earth, solar neutrinos and Cosmic Neutrino Background (CNB). It is tempting to consider this as a potential signature for CNB searches but it turns out that the signal is extremely small and unlikely to be observed.","PeriodicalId":50309,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Modern Physics a","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135667436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, by calculating the HP temperature [Formula: see text], the minimum temperature [Formula: see text] and the Gibbs free energy [Formula: see text] of the AdS black hole in different values of parameter [Formula: see text], we find that the HP phase transition can occur at all pressures. Comparing the HP temperature [Formula: see text] with the minimum temperature [Formula: see text], we notice that the ratio of [Formula: see text] tends to 1 when [Formula: see text]. Second, for the small–large black hole phase transition of the AdS black hole, we discover that the black hole heat capacity is divergent at the minimum temperature [Formula: see text], the small–large black hole phase transition occurs at the same time. Furthermore, the black hole entropy also exists [Formula: see text] when [Formula: see text], and [Formula: see text] when the black hole temperature has its minimum [Formula: see text], we surprisingly find that the ratio of [Formula: see text] tends to [Formula: see text] when the dimension [Formula: see text], which provides a general relation between the Hawking–Page phase transition and the small–large black hole phase transition of the AdS black hole in the large dimension. All in all, the ratios of typical temperature and entropy of two kinds of phase transitions tend to natural constant in the large dimension limit, which may imply to understand the nature of two different phase transitions.","PeriodicalId":50309,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Modern Physics a","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135667437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On a new Yukawa basis, the minimal parameterization of flavor mixing is realized containing two relative phases and two free [Formula: see text] rotation angles. It is shown that flavor mixing can be addressed from four independent parameters. The validity of the flavor mixing structure is checked in both the lepton and quark sectors. Under the decomposition of flavor mixing, fermion mass matrices are reconstructed in the hierarchy limit. A flat mass matrix with all elements equal to 1 arises naturally from the requirement that homology exists between up-type and down-type fermion mass matrices. Some hints of a flat matrix and flavor breaking are also discussed.","PeriodicalId":50309,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Modern Physics a","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135944436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we compare this decomposition to the Gross-Taylor expansion of two-dimensional pure SU(N) Yang-Mills theory in the large N limit as the string field theory of a sigma model. Specifically, we study the Gross-Taylor expansion of individual Nguyen-Tanizaki-Unsal universes. These differ from the Gross-Taylor expansion of the full Yang-Mills theory in two ways: a restriction to single instanton degrees, and some additional contributions not present in the expansion of the full Yang-Mills theory. We propose to interpret the restriction to single instanton degree as implying a constraint, namely that the Gross-Taylor string has a global (higher-form) symmetry with Noether current related to the worldsheet instanton number. We compare two-dimensional pure Maxwell theory as a prototype obeying such a constraint, and also discuss in that case an analogue of the Witten effect arising under two-dimensional theta angle rotation. We also propose a geometric interpretation of the additional terms, in the special case of Yang-Mills theories on two-spheres. In addition, also for the case of theories on two-spheres, we propose a reinterpretation of the terms in the Gross-Taylor expansion of the Nguyen-Tanizaki-Unsal universes, replacing sigma models on branched covers by counting disjoint unions of stacky copies of the target Riemann surface, that makes the Nguyen-Tanizaki-Unsal decomposition into invertible field theories more nearly manifest. As the Gross-Taylor string is a sigma model coupled to worldsheet gravity, we also briefly outline the tangentially-related topic of decomposition in two-dimensional theories coupled to gravity.","PeriodicalId":50309,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Modern Physics a","volume":"260 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135918905","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its action contains a special term that couples the field to the curvature of the noncommutative background space. We first analyze the numerically obtained phase diagram of the model and its three phases: the ordered, the disordered, and the noncommutative stripe phase. Afterward, we discuss the analytical derivation of the effective action and the ordered-to-stripe transition line, and how the obtained expression successfully explains the curvature-induced shift of the triple point compared to the model without curvature. This shift also causes the removal of the stripe phase and makes the model renormalizable.","PeriodicalId":50309,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Modern Physics a","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135918912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
