This simulation method based on Maxwell equations. Here, the fields were spatially discretized along time discretization. This was the basic concept for updating the fields in every time step. Since the reflection and transmission of electromagnetic waves were the basic phenomena for optical studies of the waves in materials, we studied the reflectance and transmittance. In FDTD, the reflection and transmission could be calculated using Fourier transformation. We found that the thickness of the object which was inserted to the system affected the reflection and transmission significantly. If the thickness of the object became thicker, then there also increased the appearance frequency of the reflectance with the similar values. It was also happened to the transmittance.","PeriodicalId":503013,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Scientific Research and Management (IJSRM)","volume":"67 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141359935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Elle combine une documentation relative aux questions de développement rural et de la pratique de l’élevage en zone soudano-sahélienne. Les enquêtes de terrain sont menées dans sept localités où le petit élevage est grandement pratiqué. Un échantillon de 173 personnes (chefs de ménages) est ainsi constitué pour ces enquêtes à travers l’administration directe des questionnaires et des entretiens. Les résultats du terrain attestent que l’élevage à Yagoua se pratique encore de façon traditionnelle, combinant à la fois les facteurs de production naturels et anthropiques. L’élevage prédominant est celui des petits ruminants (les moutons, chèvres), de la volaille (poules, canards, pintades, pigeons) et l’élevage porcin. Cet élevage est possible grâce à une multitude d’acteurs regroupés en deux catégories : les acteurs directs (la population paysanne, les GIC, les coopératives, et le CODAS) et les acteurs indirects (les structures étatiques, paraétatiques, les ONG, les programmes, les projets). Cette activité se pratique via les modes de production variant d’un type à l’autre. Malgré quelques difficultés économique, infrastructurelle et naturelle dont font face les différents acteurs, le petit élevage contribue au développement socio-économique dans l’arrondissement de Yagoua car il procure des revenus monétaires aux populations et contribue à leur alimentation. Il importe donc aux politiques et aux programmes de soutien à l’élevage au Cameroun en générale et à l’Extrême-Nord en particulier de renforcer leurs interventions à travers la formation, l’accès aux services vétérinaires, et l'amélioration des infrastructures de marché.","PeriodicalId":503013,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Scientific Research and Management (IJSRM)","volume":"81 17","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141358019","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The advent of the global covid-19 pandemic has brought new challenges for the higher education space. The pandemic with its ‘new normal’ has challenged higher education institutions beyond just access to resources, however, with aspects of curriculum delivery. The ‘new normal’ has meant that curriculums need to be delivered online. Thus, many higher education institutions have had to involuntarily jump on the online teaching and learning bandwagon. The move to online teaching and learning for higher education institutions has resulted in several challenges as many higher education institutions have curriculums designed for traditional teaching (face-to-face) delivery. The challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic and its “new normal” has shown that changes needs to happen to higher education curriculums to be able to overcome these challenges. Therefore, this paper recommends that post covid-19, face-to-face higher education institutions need to restructure their curriculums and adopt hybrid curriculums that incorporate online teaching and learning.
