It serves as a notable avenue for enhancing female participation across various economic strata. In recent years, scholarly attention on women entrepreneurs has burgeoned, challenging the traditionally male-centric discourse within entrepreneurship literature. Female entrepreneurship assumes a crucial role in fostering economic development and sustainability. This study contributes to the expanding body of literature on women's entrepreneurship by providing a theoretical framework elucidating the contemporary status of women entrepreneurs in India and Tunisia. Employing a cross-sectional research design, the study employed both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, utilizing surveys and focus group discussions to gather data. The sample comprised 160 participants, including 80 women entrepreneurs and 80 non-entrepreneurs from both India and Tunisia. Analysis of the data was conducted using SPSS and MS Excel. The findings underscore that women entrepreneurs exhibit enhanced well-being compared to their non-entrepreneurial counterparts. This underscores the significance of well-being not only in the development of women entrepreneurs but also in fostering societal sustainability. The implications of the study extend to providing evidence-based recommendations for advancing women's entrepreneurship in India and Tunisia. Key recommendations include governmental involvement in alleviating challenges impeding women in business and facilitating funding opportunities to ensure sustained business growth.","PeriodicalId":502836,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Research","volume":"174 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139208805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The specific objectives are to design and construct an alarm system that responds to changes in light levels, provide a cost-effective and reliable monitoring solution for various atmospheric applications, and test the device for optimal utilization. The construction process involved assembling electronic components on a breadboard or Vero board. The system's voltage source was a 9-volt battery, and the key components included resistors, capacitors, a transistor, an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor), and a buzzer. LDR was used as the primary sensor to detect changes in light levels, triggering the alarm when the light level fell below a predetermined threshold. The system was tested to ensure its effectiveness and reliability. Different light conditions and intensities are simulated to check if the alarm triggers appropriately. In troubleshooting the constructed light-activated alarm, related to the power source, connections, sensor positioning, interference, or alarm settings to ensure the alarm functions reliably and accurately were identified and resolved. Considering availability, accessibility and affordability the design and constructed light-activated alarm system is a veritable tool that compliments monitoring atmospheric applications in equipment-scarce regions.","PeriodicalId":502836,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Research","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139226787","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study used a qualitative approach to collect data from a sample of Thungkhar Primary School in Thrimshing. Qualitative data were collected through interviews and observation from the teachers and students. The findings indicated that methods in improving students' writing benefited learners. The most significant teaching method to writing practiced or implemented was the process approach which is recommended by the national curriculum. One of the interesting findings of this research is that students in my schools preferred writing to speaking as they struggle with speaking. Similar to the other study highlights, the study found that both teaching and learning writing are complex. It is imperative that there is room for improvement with suitable interventions in teaching and learning writing through a series of professional development programs.","PeriodicalId":502836,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Research","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139231301","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Brazil has incorporated these skills into its curriculum, emphasizing a positive school environment. The quality of student-teacher relationships plays a vital role in students' flourishing, but there is limited evidence on these processes in majority-world contexts such as Brazil. Objective: This study examines the association between student-teacher relationships and human flourishing among Brazilian adolescents. Methods: Data from 2,760 adolescents enrolled in vocational high schools in Brazil is used. The Diener's Flourishing Scale (2009) and a teacher-student relationship measure were used. Hierarchical regression analysis examined age, gender, and student-teacher relationships as predictors of flourishing. Results: Boys exhibited slightly higher flourishing than girls. The quality of teacher-student relationships significantly contributed to flourishing, explaining an additional 9% of variance above and beyond the effects of age and gender. Conclusion: This study underscores the significance of teacher-student relationships for well-being in a majority-world context. Gender differences were noted, with boys reporting higher flourishing. The results suggest the need for further research to refine educational practices that promote student thriving.","PeriodicalId":502836,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Research","volume":"5 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139276004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
