Drawing on the resource-based view and resource orchestration theory, we conceptualize management compensation incentives, equity incentives, and gender diversity as resource allocation levers that motivate and guide resource toward RETI. Using a sample of Chinese renewable energy firms, we develop a configurational framework and draw on fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis to investigate how these levers combine to facilitate RETI across different innovation subjects (e.g., firms with different size and financial performance) and innovation environments (e.g., different economic development level, industry competition, and environmental regulation). Our results identify four high-level configurations that can facilitate RETI by tailoring resource allocation levers to innovation subject and innovation environment. Comparing the high-level configurations with the low-level configurations, we find that the same lever in different configurations may yield the opposite effect. We also find that even lacking innovation-conducive environments, firms can still achieve high-level RETI by using tailored levers. Despite growing scholarly interest, research on DeFi remains fragmented across technical, financial, and legal domains, limiting a coherent understanding of how Web 3.0–enabled financial systems are positioned within the academic literature, particularly in regulated sectors such as banking. Drawing on a corpus of 290 peer-reviewed articles spanning 2020–2025, this study provides a systematic bibliometric mapping of the DeFi literature, with a focus on governance and intermediation in banking. The analysis integrates performance analysis, science mapping, and machine-learning–based semantic clustering using Sentence-BERT. The results reveal an interdisciplinary research landscape structured around seven major thematic clusters, including decentralized governance models, tokenized financial architectures, regulatory and institutional challenges, and the convergence of DeFi with programmable and data-driven infrastructures. Semantic analysis further identifies emerging research trajectories related to CBDCs, hybrid DeFi–TradFi configurations, and multi-layer DLT architectures. Accelerators have become central in helping startups overcome financial, skill-related, and legitimacy challenges. However, existing research on the topic remains fragmented. To address this, we conduct a bibliometric analysis of 174 peer-reviewed articles, collected from the Scopus database over the period 2005–2024. The findings reveal five thematic clusters: (1) Accelerators as open innovation tools; (2) Performance measurement and effectiveness; (3) Strategic approaches to startup growth; (4) The role of accelerators in entrepreneurial ecosystems; and (5) Design and evolution of accelerator models. We complement this analysis with an examination of the most cited works from the last five years. By integrating quantitative and qualitative insights, we identify gaps in the accelerator literature associated with these clusters and develop a research agenda structured around five research avenues: (1) Institutional and geographical contexts; (2) Diversity in selection processes; (3) Social and environmental impacts; (4) Collaboration dynamics; and (5) University-based and corporate accelerator roles. We conducted a meta-analysis of 22 empirical studies (<em>K</em> = 71; <em>N</em> = 25,867) linking LM to innovation outcomes. Results reveal a moderate positive association between LM and overall innovation, but its strength varies across innovation types and contexts. Sustainable innovation, innovation capabilities, and process innovation benefit most, whereas the association with product innovation is not statistically significant. Lean workplace organisation and structure yield the strongest association, followed by lean strategic orientation, social practices, and technical practices. However, mechanisms that drive and create such innovations within resource-scarce environments and the amorphous institutional fabric are poorly understood. Drawing on the largest development organization in the world from the Global South, this study proposes a process framework and posits that institutional voids serve as an antecedent to the emergence of inclusive innovation. Proposing a multi-level perspective, this study shows that developing inclusive innovation is a complex process requiring synergistic efforts across multiple levels. At the micro-level, which focuses on the organization and its proximate context, inclusive innovation is enabled by effective social mobilization that purposely engages, builds capability, and empowers grassroots communities. At higher levels, inclusive innovation is enabled by an ecosystem approach. At the meso-level, which focuses on organizational and sector-specific institutional arrangements, inclusive innovation is facilitated by collaboration between traditional actors, such as public-private institutions, and non-traditional actors, such as key civil actors, non-profits, and non-governmental organizations. At the macro level, which focuses on the broader political domain, the strategic alignment of business goals with government priorities helps devise supportive policies, create enabling environments, and optimize the use of scarce resources. Furthermore, involving previously disenfranchised members of the BoP population as users, creators, and market actors across multiple levels enables deep co-creation to develop effective solutions. The research adopts a comparative performance analysis conducted across five travel scenarios, using identical input data for all three systems to ensure methodological consistency. The results show that the AI produces the most feasible, verifiable, and context-aware itineraries, outperforming the other systems in cost optimisation, time efficiency, sustainability, and constraint handling. By providing an empirical benchmark, this study extends existing research that has largely remained theoretical, offering practical insights into AI-mediated tourism planning. There has been a steady increase in supplier responsibility for development, leading to a shift in the supply base from purely delivering products to providing unmatched expertise from the very beginning. We regard this phenomenon as the motive force behind our study. Our aim is to investigate the consequent effects of orienting towards supplier involvement in the fuzzy front end (FFE), as well as purchasing and supply management (PSM) practices, on a focal firm’s innovation capability. We drew on the capability-based transactions theory, which looks at bounded innovation capabilities that are complemented by transactions. Data from 206 automotive firms and structural equation modeling (SEM) show that supplier involvement orientation in the FFE has a stronger positive impact on incremental innovation capability. In addition, we find significant effects regarding several PSM practices. Cooperation with non-value-chain partners supports both radical and incremental innovation. More PSM practices positively affect radical innovation – for example, early purchasing involvement and non-monetary incentives. The results generate advances for the capability-based transactions theory. While prior studies have examined knowledge types independently, our research uniquely integrates the knowledge-based view with mediation-moderation analysis to reveal how: (1) knowledge sharing transforms individual knowledge into organizational innovation, and (2) organizational culture amplifies this process. Grounded in the knowledge-based view, we propose an integrated model where knowledge sharing mediates the tacit/explicit knowledge-innovation link, with culture as a moderator. Using PLS-SEM analysis of 476 responses from knowledge-intensive industries, this study found tacit knowledge exerted a stronger influence on innovation than explicit knowledge, with knowledge sharing mediating these relationships. Notably, organizational culture amplified the knowledge sharing-innovation link, revealing how collectivist norms enhance tacit knowledge transfer. However, manufacturing firms find it difficult to achieve digital transformation. The search for effective digital transformation paths and the promotion of green development through digitalization have become key for manufacturing firms. Under the technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework, this study analyzes a sample of Chinese listed manufacturing firms using fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis and propensity score matching to examine the configurational effects of six conditions (i.e., digital human capital, digital technology application, financial resource availability, top management risk appetite, government technical support, and regional digital environment) on firm digital transformation and the impacts of different configurations on green innovation performance. The results indicate that high-degree digital transformation arises from three distinct equivalent configurations: TOE dominated, technology-organization dominated and technology-environment dominated. Furthermore, these three configurations have differential effects on firm green innovation performance. The conclusions provide important empirical support and decision-making basis for the Chinese government to promote coordinated digital and green development and accelerate the manufacturing firms. The digital and green transformation of manufacturing firms is an important measure to boost high-quality economic and social development. However, it is difficult for manufacturing firms to achieve digital transformation. This paper addresses this gap by investigating how creativity relates to technology, innovation and environmental sustainability within the design industry. We rely on an original dataset covering a sample of Italian design firms operating in 2023. We complement firm-level information with novel data collected through a web-scraping algorithm that identifies the presence and intensity of keywords related to creativity, innovation, technology, and sustainability on designers’ websites. Combining descriptive statistical analysis with econometric estimations, we show that creativity is the most salient dimension in designers’ self-presentation, while sustainability receives comparatively less emphasis. The results show how creativity is linked to the use of diverse technologies rather than to higher overall levels of technological innovation. Creativity is also positively correlated with both the presence and intensity of sustainability-related content. Regarding technological innovation, sectoral heterogeneity emerges clearly, and interaction designers appear to be the most technologically oriented.
