However, these institutions face the challenge of credit risk, which has the potential to greatly impact their profitability and long-term viability. This study examined the relationship between credit risk and the financial performance of MFIs in Kenya. The study aims to investigate the connection between Capital Adequacy, Operational Efficiency, Interest Rate Spread, and the profitability of microfinance institutions in Kenya. The research utilizes a comprehensive dataset from 14 licensed and regulated MFIs in Kenya, covering the period from 2020 to 2022.The study utilized a research design based on census data. Secondary data was utilized. The Study examines the previous financial reports to find secondary data on performance. The data collected underwent analysis using both descriptive and inferential statistical tools. Given that the current study focused on the relationship study, a regression model was used as the analysis tool. The results obtained were then presented in the form of tables. The results of this study will benefit policy makers, managers, administrators, entrepreneurs, researchers, consultants, scholars, and trainers involved in strategic Microfinance Institutions. Results from the analysis suggest that the Kenyan microfinance sector encountered significant financial difficulties in the past. The profitability metrics, specifically return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE), showed negative mean values of -8.89% and -8.72%, respectively. Based on the findings, it appears that MFIs incurred losses, as their assets and equity were not fully utilized. The study also discovered There is a strong positive relationship between Capital Adequacy and Operational Efficiency, as indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.811. When Capital Adequacy increases, Operational Efficiency also increases, The correlation was highly significant, indicating a robust relationship. However, it is worth noting that there is a strong positive relationship between Capital Adequacy and Profitability Metrics, as indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.961. Capital Adequacy has improved, leading to a significant increase in Profitability Metrics. The relationship between Operational Efficiency and Profitability Metrics was found to be highly positive, with a correlation coefficient of 0.875. The correlation between improved operational efficiency and higher profitability metrics is incredibly important. The relationship between Interest Rate Spread and Profitability Metrics has shown a strong positive correlation, with a correlation coefficient of 0.943. The profitability metrics were greatly impacted by the increased interest rate spread. The study found that it is recommended for Microfinance institutions in Kenya to diversify their income streams and give priority to improving credit risk manageme","PeriodicalId":500542,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Humanities Research (IJSSHR) ISSN 2959-7056 (o) 2959-7048 (p)","volume":"29 27","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135043186","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Four specific objectives were established: to evaluate the impact of descriptive analytics on KCAA's organizational performance; to assess the influence of prescriptive analytics on the same; to understand the relationship between predictive analytics and KCAA's organizational performance; and to scrutinize the effect of diagnostic analytics on KCAA's organizational performance. The study drew upon three established theoretical frameworks: the Resource-Based View (RBV), the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and the Schumpeterian Innovation Theory. The research encompassed 1400 technical and operational staff across KCAA's headquarters in Nairobi, Moi International Airport in Mombasa, and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, along with airline operators and pilots. A pilot study, conducted with 30 respondents, ensured the reliability and validity of the research instrument. Reliability tests yielded a Cronbach alpha coefficient averaging 0.79, indicating strong reliability, while validity tests confirmed the instrument's validity, with Average Variance Extracted (AVE) values surpassing the 0.5 threshold. The primary study involved 300 randomly selected participants, utilizing questionnaires for data collection. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for data analysis, revealing a strong positive correlation among variables. Specifically, various types of data analytics displayed positive significance: Descriptive Analytics (β = 0.133, t = 2.046, p < 0.05), Prescriptive Analytics (β = 0.198, t = 3.146, p < 0.05), Diagnostic Analytics (β = 0.190, t = 3.089, p < 0.05), and Predictive Analytics (β = 0.120, t = 1.961, p = 0.05). Diagnostic tests affirmed the absence of multi-collinearity, data normality, and heterogeneous data. Respondents collectively acknowledged the significant impact of data analytics on KCAA's organizational performance, with the study concluding that KCAA had not fully leveraged data analytics, leading to the recommendation of a policy framework prioritizing their ongoing big data ICT initiatives, and advocating for regular implementation of diagnostic analytics to enhance aviation performance, employee engagement, and overall organizational success. Key Words: Data Analytics, Descriptive Analytics, Prescriptive Analytics, Diagnostic Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Organizational Performance","PeriodicalId":500542,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Humanities Research (IJSSHR) ISSN 2959-7056 (o) 2959-7048 (p)","volume":"16 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135773467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aspect of sales growth involves revenue from sales which was considered in this study and applied as revenue change. Total assets growth was also applied to measure firm growth. Firms that create value through selling their products are rewarded by the market through generation of more revenue, which translates to profit and operating cash flow that finally accrues to the stockholders. Hence, stock performance was studied to determine if it is affected by firm growth. This study, therefore, aimed to investigate the effect of firm growth on stock performance. The study targeted the non-financial firms quoted at the Nairobi Securities Exchange in Kenya. Firm growth was measured using revenue change and total assets change. Thus, the study’s specific objectives were to determine the effect of revenue change on stock performance and establish the effect of total assets change on stock performance of non-financial firms quoted at the Nairobi Securities Exchange. The descriptive statistics indicated that the standard deviation values are all clustered around the corresponding mean. The ANOVA results depicted a statistically significant model at 5 percent. The variables are good predictors of stock performance as justified by an F statistic of 39.14 and the reported p-value of 0.0000 which is less than the 0.05 significance level. The Pearson’s coefficient findings observed that there was no correlation between revenue change and total assets change with stock performance. The panel regression results showed that revenue change and total assets change to a large extent affect stock performance of the listed firms. It was, however, only partially utilised. This research sought to explore communication for social and behaviour change communication and how it was applied to curb the spread of COVID 19 using a case study of puppetry in Kenya. It attempted to answer the following questions: What types of puppets were used in Kenya for social and behaviour change communication? Which advocacy messages were communicated for social and behaviour change using puppetry? How was puppetry used for social mobilisation for social and behaviour change communication? What factors hindered puppetry's use for social and behaviour change communication? The theoretical base of this research was informed by the health belief model, which provides a framework for designing messaging that targets perceived barriers, benefits, self-efficacy, and threats; the social learning theory, which explains how behaviour is learned through observation; and the social marketing theory, which provides a framework for how behaviour change messages are designed using marketing principles. This study used a qualitative research design. It analysed past studies to give a framework and then used interviews and observation to collect current data by observation and key informant interviews for thematic analysis. The population chosen for this study was all the puppet shows created, digitally recorded, and aired for SBCC to communicate behaviour change as a prevention measure against COVID-19. For this research, the Dr Pamoja show was purposely chosen as the sample as it met all the criteria for this study. Coding was used for thematic analysis of the collected puppetry video samples from the Dr Pamoja show produced by Project hand up to communicate SBCC against COVID-19. The codes were derived using the deductive approach, and the show analysed both the latent and the semantic. The gaps in the data were informed by Key informants, including the Dr Pamoja show’s director, an AMREF representative, sixteen (16) puppeteers, a community leader, a health representative, and ten (10) parents. After collecting and analysing the data, findings showed that the main types of puppets used are glove puppets, and puppetry remains an effective tool for social and behavioural change communication in Kenya. It was found to be efficient in communicating advocacy messages through influence, persuasion, an","PeriodicalId":500542,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Humanities Research (IJSSHR) ISSN 2959-7056 (o) 2959-7048 (p)","volume":"28 31","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135818179","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
