Due to the growing number of patients with various diseases of the vulva, there is a need to evaluate the available diagnostic tools. Vulvoscopy is one of the widely used methods, the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of which varies significantly. Purpose of the work. Based on the analysis of publications to determine the diagnostic significance of vulvoscopy. Material and methods. The data of modern research and publications were used in the preparation of the work. Results. The authors of a number of publications warn against considering vulvoscopy as a variant of colposcopy. A high percentage of false positive results when performing tests with acetic acid may be due to a variety of reasons and is not highly specific for papillomavirus infection. The use of the test with toluidine blue is not recommended due to low sensitivity. Conclusions. A positive aspect of vulvoscopy is the ability to examine the vulva area with optical magnification, in a position convenient for examining the patient, which makes it possible to identify areas to be biopsied. The use of additional tests with acetic acid should be limited, and tests with toluidine blue and Lugol solution are not recommended due to low sensitivity.","PeriodicalId":499576,"journal":{"name":"Medicinskij alfavit","volume":"362 17","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135393234","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The importance of FA for medical university students is due to the fact that their future profession involves promoting a healthy lifestyle, including FA, among the population. The purpose of the study included studying the FA of medical university students in different courses of study. An online survey of 306 medical university students was conducted using a Scale of Exercise Benefits/barriers. It was found that a greater number of benefits from physical education and a smaller number of barriers were revealed in 1st-year students and a progressive change in this ratio in older students. The analysis of the FA of medical students revealed that 1st year students devote more time to physical activity (sports) in comparison with undergraduates. The main reason for the low FA among students is the lack of free time. During the COVID-19 pandemic, with the transition to online education, students noted a decrease in FA and dissatisfaction with physical education in remote mode. Based on the data obtained, it was concluded that in order for medical students to adequately provide counseling to their patients in the future, medical universities should develop programs that stimulate medical students to greater FA.","PeriodicalId":499576,"journal":{"name":"Medicinskij alfavit","volume":"8 11","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135390977","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Acne is a common chronic inflammatory disease, which is accompanied by severe social stress and reduces the quality of life of patients. Isotretinoin is the gold standard for the treatment of severe and moderate forms of acne, and is also used when there is a risk of developing a post-acne symptom complex and when previous treatment methods are ineffective. Purpose of the study. To determine the effectiveness and safety of various isotretinoin regimens at a dose of 0.4–0.8 mg/kg in patients with moderate to severe acne vulgaris and in patients with adult acne. Materials and methods. A single-center, prospective, parallel, controlled study involved 139 patients with acne vulgaris and adult acne, who were divided into 3 groups. 72 patients with acne vulgaris of moderate severity according to the IGA scale (group A1) and 37 patients with adult acne (group B) received isotretinoin (Accutane) at a dose of 0.4 mg/kg/day (cumulative dose 100 mg/kg) for 8 months. 30 patients with severe forms of acne vulgaris (group A1) received Accutane at a dose of 0.8 mg/kg/day (cumulative dose 120 mg/kg) for 8 months. The study lasted 24 months. and consisted of 4 visits (1st visit, 4, 8 and 24 months), at each visit photocontrol was performed, the number of inflammatory and non-inflammatory elements was calculated, the DAI index and the degree on the IGA scale were determined. Results. All 139 patients achieved ‘clear’ or almost ‘clear’ skin according to the IGA scale after 8 months of therapy. There was also a statistically significant decrease in non-inflammatory and inflammatory elements in all groups after 4 and 8 months. (p < 0.001). The total DIA score after 8 months was reduced in group A1 by 89.2%, in group A2 by 83.78% and in group B by 80.3%. Acne recurrence after 24 months was determined in five patients. Conclusions. Various regimens of Accutane for moderate and severe acne vulgaris, as well as adult acne, have demonstrated high efficacy and a favorable safety profile.","PeriodicalId":499576,"journal":{"name":"Medicinskij alfavit","volume":"3 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135391547","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Long-term complications may develop from various organs and systems: active studies of the toxicity of chemotherapy are carried out in the field of pharmacogenetics, respiratory, cardiovascular, sensorineural and endocrine systems, as well as skin, central nervous system, immune system and others. The treatment of acute leukemia carried out in childhood can significantly reduce the quality of life, cause cognitive and psychoemotional disorders. Experts in the field of pediatric hematology-oncology proposed to create an indicator called «survival without pronounced toxicity». A group of scientists initiated an international project to study the outcomes of childhood malignant tumors. Among the long-term consequences, it is planned to assess the quality of life and the development of complications. The study of long-term complications of leukemia treatment will allow us to develop algorithms for the prevention and follow-up of these patients.","PeriodicalId":499576,"journal":{"name":"Medicinskij alfavit","volume":"21 21","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135390324","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Positional changes of Q waves, primarily in leads III and aVF, and their possible differences from pathological Q waves are described. Reflex and humoral effects of deep inspiration and breath holding on heart functions such as contractility, automatism and conductivity are considered. Examples of rhythm and conduction disturbances that rarely occur during breath holding are illutrated on ECGs. A recommended variant of the implementation of the deep inspiration ECG test using computer ECG systems is described, which implements continuous ECG recording on free breathing, during inspiration and while holding the breath. This version of the test does not change the operators’ complexity and time of ECG registration.","PeriodicalId":499576,"journal":{"name":"Medicinskij alfavit","volume":"32 41","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135390985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors emphasized. That in the basis of the assessment of disorders of the mental function of the brain according to EEG data, one should look for signs of dissociation of the level of wakefulness in non-sleeping people. It is necessary to look for features of the electroencephalographic picture, which can be considered as neurophysiological neurotic patterns and, most importantly, an assessment of the state of the systemic- functional organization of the cortical rhythm, interpreted as a state of hypofrontality. The authors took the path of visual illustration using examples of specific patients with various pathological states of brain function. The features of changes in coherence indices in patients with hyperactivity syndrome, in violation of the function of attention, with mental retardation, in vegetative- vascular dystonia are given. The authors cite the observation of a child with sensorineural hearing loss from birth and connect the fact of a decrease in the level of intertemporal relations, not with the underlying disease, but with the lack of oral speech skills. The paper emphasizes that hypersynchronization of the alpha rhythm is quite pathognomonic to the state of increased anxiety. The authors explain in detail under what states of mental dysfunction the values of the average coherence are more informative, and in which the values of the dominant frequency. In conclusion, the authors complain about the unsatisfactory software capabilities of mathematical processing in some EEG computer systems, so neurophysiologists have unequal opportunities.","PeriodicalId":499576,"journal":{"name":"Medicinskij alfavit","volume":"7 10","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135392024","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
