The elderly are well-pushed to face the challenges brought by this transformation. This study aims to explore the elderly’s perception of a digital-driven society in terms of their abilities to use digital devices or services and the effects of digital transformation on their daily life. This study conducted an online survey among elderly users of digital devices in Guangdong Province, China. It was found that around half of the elderly have used digital devices in their daily life and admitted that digital transformation has made life more enjoyable and convenient. However, because of their physical health status, there were various challenges. The developer of digital devices should well consider the needs of elderly users to enrich a senior-user-friendly society.","PeriodicalId":498606,"journal":{"name":"Scientific and social research","volume":"76 s334","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140694822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

His works and architectural thoughts are influenced by Japanese geography and cultural traditions, forming a school of its own in Japanese modern architecture. This paper takes Kengo Kuma as the research subject, combining the development trajectory of Japanese modern architecture for more than 100 years to analyze his architectural ideas and design thinking. Kengo Kuma integrates his understanding of traditional Japanese culture and art into modern architecture, by Kengo Kuma’s architectural thoughts and practices bring inspiration and enlightenment for Chinese architects as a path to explore connecting modern trends with traditional designs.","PeriodicalId":498606,"journal":{"name":"Scientific and social research","volume":"57 28","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140701210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to identify barriers through a questionnaire survey of 11 young teachers. Findings revealed the greatest difficulties lay in adapting instruction methods to meet the diverse needs of learners, navigating constraints on research due to insufficient laboratory facilities and funding, and uncertainty around career progression pathways. To address these issues, we proposed three countermeasure strategies. First, vocational colleges should strengthen partnerships between industry and education through joint training programs and applied research laboratories to enrich curriculum design and enhance teachers’ practical skills. Secondly, establishing formal mentorship programs pairing new educators with experienced mentors can facilitate the transition into their roles and offer careerguidance. Third, colleges should actively encourage the involvement of young teachers in skills competitions to cultivate their practical skills. This research highlights the multifaceted challenges faced by young teachers and the imperative for targeted solutions to strengthen the vocational education workforce.","PeriodicalId":498606,"journal":{"name":"Scientific and social research","volume":"21 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140722413","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The principal purpose of this study was to examine whether there was a significant relationship between religiosity and implicit bias toward transgender individuals. To address this research question, a diverse sample of participants was recruited and data was collected through surveys and assessments. After data collection, the collected data was subjected to rigorous statistical analyses to explore the potential link between religiosity and implicit bias toward transgender individuals. The correlation between religiosity and implicit bias was 16% (95% CI = 15% to 16%). To examine this relationship, a linear regression model was employed, with religiosity levels as the independent variable and implicit bias scores as the dependent variable. Furthermore, the statistical analyses involved controlling for potential confounding variables, such as age and political ideology, to ensure that the observed relationship between religiosity and implicit bias was not influenced by other factors. Key statistical parameters were generated through regression analyses, including beta coefficients, P-values, and R-squared values, which provided important information about the strength and significance of the association between religiosity and implicit bias.","PeriodicalId":498606,"journal":{"name":"Scientific and social research","volume":"31 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139445818","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The government has actively taken measures to promote the modernization of industrial and supply chains, with digital intelligence empowerment becoming a key driving force. In this context, metal recycling companies face new challenges and opportunities in supply chain construction. This paper aims to deeply explore how digital intelligence empowerment affects the supply chain of recycled metal companies, as well as the difficulties faced and innovative solutions.","PeriodicalId":498606,"journal":{"name":"Scientific and social research","volume":"15 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138591287","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
