This study categorized the major features that emerged in the history of anchovy boat seine fisheries history over the past 20 years into historical, cultural, policy, and institutional aspects, and identified and organized their causal relationships. As a result, in terms of history and culture, the anchovy boat seine fisheries Industry Cooperative secured its legitimacy as the oldest fisheries cooperative in the country in celebration of its 100th anniversary in 2019. In 2016, the name ‘anchovy’ was approved for the fish cooperative, and its identity as Korea’s leading anchovy fishing cooperative was recognized. In order to actively reflect changing consumption trends and increase added value, we branded ‘Hallyeosueo’ dried anchovies and promoted small packaging tailored to nuclear families. From a policy and institutional perspective, EEZ sand mining zone in southern sea of Korea, which was considered one of the main factors in the decline in anchovy catches, was actively prevented and ended. The anchovy fishing area, which had long been a source of conflict between the two regions of Gyeongnam and Jeonnam, has also become clear. Many anchovy fishing boat owners are consistently calling for amendments to the bycatch law, which raises the possibility of them becoming criminals. In addition, as there has been a recent influx of applications from anchovy boat seine fisheries ship owners for voluntary reduction projects, it can be inferred that the anchovy boat seine fisheries industry is currently facing serious management difficulties.","PeriodicalId":496496,"journal":{"name":"Su'san haeyang gyoyug yeon'gu","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135928138","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many of today’s coupled aquaponic systems (CAS) circulate water and nutrients from fish to plants to fish, but it is not always guaranteed that the fish preferences are completely aligned with the optimum requirements of the plants. The aim of decoupled aquaponic system (DAS) which would better secure optimal environmental conditions for both the plant and fish production units is to improve sustainability and productivity concomitant with lowering environmental emissions. The study examined the growth difference of leafy vegetables and Nile tilapia cultured in the culture systems between the CAS and DAS for 14 weeks. Five cultivars of European lettuces, including volare lettuce (Lactuca sativa. L. ‘Volare’), skilton lettuce (Lactuca sativa. L. ‘Skilton’), ovired lettuce (Lactuca sativa. L. ‘Ovired’), caipira lettuce (Lactuca sativa. L. ‘Caipira’) and ezabel lettuce (Lactuca sativa. L. ‘Ezabel’) were employed in the experiment period from 10th to 14th weeks. After planting leafy vegetables in the two systems, leafy vegetable productivity was compared at the end of growth period (32 days). The Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) used in the experiment was 125 kg with a average fish weight of 24 g, divided by equal weight into CAS and DAS. Feed supply was limited to 1.0% per fish body weight and supplied twice a day, and the amount of feed supplied to the DAS experimental group was increased by about 20% compared to CAS. In the leafy vegetable production comparison, there was no significant difference in the leafy weight of the four cultivars (P0.05) excluding the ovired lettuce cultivar (P0.05) between the DAS and the CAS experimental group. In weight gain (%) of fish, the DAS experimental group was effective in increasing fish weight due to the higher feed supply in fish tank of DAS. Therefore, this experiment showed that the DAS production method can provide optimal growth conditions for both fish and leafy vegetables.","PeriodicalId":496496,"journal":{"name":"Su'san haeyang gyoyug yeon'gu","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135930003","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To make it worse, the budget for self-governing coastal fisheries, one of Korea\"s fisheries resource management policies, has been reduced due to a lack of performance evaluation. In order to fight these issues, we analyzed the effects of self-governing coastal fisheries by matching variables with similar tendencies between participating and non-participating groups in self-governing coastal fisheries. We used the propensity score matching method. We collected the fishing communities survey data from the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives database focusing on the Jeju region. The empirical results revealed that the annual profit of participating group is higher than that of the non-participating group by about KRW8,060,000. This clearly indicates the positive effects of self-governing coastal fisheries.","PeriodicalId":496496,"journal":{"name":"Su'san haeyang gyoyug yeon'gu","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135929997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Summarizing and discussing the research findings, we arrive at the following conclusions. First, the sub-factor of achievement goals, namely the mastery-approach goal, was found to have a positive effect on academic achievement and satisfaction. Similarly, the performance-approach goal had a positive impact on academic satisfaction. Conversely, both mastery-avoidance and performance-avoidance goals had minimal impact on academic achievement. Second, self-efficacy and the sub-factors of learning immersion, specifically behavioral immersion, cognitive immersion, and emotional immersion, were all shown to have a positive influence on academic achievement and satisfaction. This suggests that an increase in self-efficacy and learning immersion results in enhanced academic achievement and satisfaction. Third, we also identified that self-efficacy and learning immersion serve as mediators in the relationship between achievement goals and academic achievement in mathematics. Fourth, self-efficacy and learning immersion were found to mediate the relationship between achievement goals and academic satisfaction in mathematics. This implies that as achievement goals in mathematics are enhanced, self-efficacy and learning immersion increase, in turn elevating academic achievement and satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":496496,"journal":{"name":"Su'san haeyang gyoyug yeon'gu","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135928431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
