Following the introduction of this legal act, the system for managingthe safety of chemical substances throughout the European Union has been harmonised andbased on the principles of registration, evaluation and authorisation. These rules apply to alltypes of substances, preparations and products available on the market. Their importance inreducing the environmental impact of hazardous substances, including explosives, should beconsidered particularly important. The study inter alia analyses the advantages of applying theREACH system to mining explosives (dynamites and emulsion explosives), including in particulara comprehensive analysis of the environmental effects of the use of this type of substances, carriedout according to unified criteria specified in the provisions of the regulation. On the other hand,the major drawback of the adopted regulations is the failure to take into account the conditionsassociated with the safety of the working environment in the discussed legal act.","PeriodicalId":495485,"journal":{"name":"Zeszyty Naukowe SGSP","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135246703","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The major part of this type of interventionsentails the cooperation between Fire Protection Units (FPU), the Police and the EmergencyMedical Service (EMS). The organisation of operations and their nature depends on several factorsincluding the mechanism of the incident itself, the location of the incident, the type and numberof vehicles involved in the hazardous incident, as well as the number of occupants, their state ofhealth and a number of other derivatives resulting from the occurrence of the incident in question.The article will show the circumstances of the implementation of tasks by the FPU in the casesin question and will present the issue of the participation of the FPU in criminal proceedingsconducted after the completion of the rescue activity. In the past, alert levelswere introduced many times in the classic approach (ALFA and BRAVO), as well as in relation tothreats in the cyberspace of the Republic of Poland (ALFA-CRP, BRAVO-CRP and CHARLIECRP),both for the entire country and the importance of smaller ones defined in a different way;however, it should be noted that in general until February 2022, it was primarily related to theorganization of mass events or presidential and parliamentary elections. The aggression of theRussian Federation against Ukraine has resulted in alert and CRP alert levels accompanying usuninterruptedly for more than a year, affecting the classical space, the cyber environment as wellas the area of the Polish energy infrastructure located beyond the country’s borders. In view of theabove, given the geopolitical situation in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, knowledgeabout the meaning of the CRP alert levels and the CRP alert levels, as well as the need and abilityto carry out projects to be implemented after the introduction of a specific alert level and CRP alertlevel, becomes particularly important.The aim of the article is to diagnose the level of knowledge among respondents regarding the issueof CRP alert levels and alert levels, taking into account the applicable legal acts in this regard,knowledge about the current situation and the obligations of selected entities stemming fromthe introduction of CRP alert levels and alert levels. Additionally, a lot of the OMPs that have beenfound are resistant to biodegradation, allowing the possibility of persistence and accumulationin the ecosystem. Although they are present in small amounts, they have the potential to causemajor health issues, such as cancer. Recent studies showed that ultrasonication is very successful inremoving numerous hazardous OMPs from water. However, there is a tendency of combining thismethod with other advanced oxidation processes because of some of this technology’s limitations.This study provided additional evidence that ultrasonication is a highly effective approach forremoving micropollutants from rainwater. The efficiency of this technique can even be higher than80%. Moreover, the addition of ozone and hydrogen peroxide during ultrasonication increased theremoval ratio significantly, which was proportional to the oxidant dosage.","PeriodicalId":495485,"journal":{"name":"Zeszyty Naukowe SGSP","volume":"2015 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135244645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The SWMM model was used for calculating the water outflowfrom the studied urbanized area in response to rainfall with the probabilities of 20 and 10%, andthen to assess the possibility of flooding as a result of rainwater spillage from the Airport drainagesystem. The scope of the work also comprised assessing the impact of the existing retention tanksat the Airport on the reduction of maximum flows in the Służewiecki Stream channel. Simulationsin response to the rainfall event with a probability of 10% have shown that there are locations(sewer manholes) within the airport area where short-term rainwater overflows may potentiallyoccur. Retention of rainwater in tanks and flow control through gate valves have a significantimpact on a reduction of flows in the Słuzewiecki Stream, thus reducing the risk of flooding in thestudied catchment area.","PeriodicalId":495485,"journal":{"name":"Zeszyty Naukowe SGSP","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135246857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During an11-month study odourconcentration and intensity were measured at selected mechanical-biological solid municipalwaste treatment plant at 35 measuring locations to assess the degree of correlation between thosetwo parameters. Commonly used Weber-Fechner law was applied to assess the correlation. Resultsindicate a high degree of correlation between odour concentration and intensity, for example, R2valued for two different approaches at 0.87, and 0.95, while Pearson’s r valued at 0.93, and 0.97.Following the results this proves that odour concentration and odour intensity could potentially beused interchangeably for odour assessment. However, applying Weber-Fechner law for predictionof odour concentration based on odour intensity measurements gives imprecise results. Suchapproach could be potentially applied when limited measurements of odour concentration areavailable as determination of odour intensity that could be performed even by Facility employees.","PeriodicalId":495485,"journal":{"name":"Zeszyty Naukowe SGSP","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135243460","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, this country is in a difficult and constantly deteriorating demographicsituation. This is further complicated by the fact that, due to the low female fertility rate, peopleof post-working age are not being replaced by younger generations. According to demographers’forecasts, Poland will be significantly depopulated in the coming decades. Consequently, it canbe deduced that the current situation will become translated into consequences for practically allspheres of the social and economic life. What seems particularly important is that the unfavourabledemographic trend is already having an impact on both the present and future dimensions of thesocial and economic life of every region of Poland. It is to be expected that one of the consequencesof depopulation would be manifested in the reduced ability of the state to ensure national security.Potential staff shortages that are expected to occur in the formations responsible for maintainingsecurity and public order should already be prompting decision-makers to undertake numerousmeasures in the organisational, legal and technical spheres.","PeriodicalId":495485,"journal":{"name":"Zeszyty Naukowe SGSP","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135244473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
