The objective of this study is to study, using quantitative methods, the existence of relationships and patterns between the duration of a leader's staying in power and the integral index of socio-political destabilization in various countries. The statistical analysis carried out showed that there is a statistically significant positive relationship between the indicator of the duration of the leader’s continuous rule and the integral index of socio-political destabilization in countries that are partial autocracies. It is known ‘intermediate’ countries that are in the process of transition to modern institutional democracy (or formally striving for such a transition, declaring it) are the most vulnerable to destabilization. Our study shows that one of the factors that increase the likelihood of instability in such countries is long stay of the leader in power. Its reconfiguration, associated with the weakening of American dominance, which has been going on since at least 2008 (since the outbreak of the global crisis), has accelerated. The uncertainty about the outcome of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine (SMO), the split in the world, the collapse of the world economy into a number of economic zones, the prospect of the formation of financial and monetary zones and other processes open up other options for transformation of the world order than those that seemed dominant yesterday. The present article aims at bringing together various factors of change into a single picture, to identify a range of possible scenarios for the reconfiguration of the World-System and the transformation of the world order. The present study consists of two closely related articles. In the first article, ‘The Impact of the Special Military Operation in Ukraine on the Reconfiguration of the World-System ‘, we considered the following issues: the balance of power in the USA and the world as a whole due to SMO in Ukraine; which forces in the USA and Europe benefit from the military conflict and which do not; how the military conflict undermines the US world order; why the World-System reconfiguration has been accelerating and what new phase it is entering. It is shown how the situation will change in developed and developing states, and how the global contradiction of the modern world is being transformed. The distributed type of culture, primarily conservative, as well as of liberal identity opens up prospects for the formation of new types of geopolitical subjectivity, which correlate with new regional systems, blocs and alliances of states in a multipolar world. Some new views on understanding globalization and highlighting its essential characteristics are shown. Among the most significant features of globalization, Western researchers emphasize its dynamic nature, depending on a combination of social, economic and political factors. In general, the works of Western scientists and specialists on globalization have implemented an objective, comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to the analysis of this phenomenon. However, the economic-centric view still dominates, when the essence of globalization and global processes is reduced mainly to its economic aspect. New topics in research such as global risks, the role of information technology in global processes, possible consequences of globalization are considered mainly in the economic context in connection with the process of development of the global economy. The analysis of these works allowed us to state the growing diversity of methodological approaches used by Western scientists to the study of globalization. Among them are transdisciplinarity, consideration of its multidimensionality, multi-aspect character of globalization, the relationship of globalism with geopolitics and geo-economics.
