Material(s) and Method(s): A questionnaire consisting of 16 questions was conducted to 510 healthcare professionals working in Inegol State Hospital between December 2021-January 2022 and who agreed to participate in the study, to determine their approach to the COVID-19 vaccine. The data were collected with Student's t-test and Mann-Whitney U Test. Chi-square test was used in comparison of categorical variables. Result(s): While 54.3% of the respondents said that they don't want to have the COVID-19 vaccine, 69% answered that \"Since there is not any adequate research on the vaccine, the vaccine is not reliable\". Were observed that vaccine rejection was most common in the 20-29 age group (72.7%) and pregnant women (100%). In addition, as the education level increased, the number of people considering vaccination increased. The desire to be vaccinated was seen more in married, and it was noted that non-smokers had more COVID-19 (80.3%). Conclusion(s): Healthcare professionals who participated in study were found to have a negative attitude towards COVID-19 vaccine. Although healthcare professionals have hesitations about vaccine, in fact, noteworthy that they're afraid of the disease (43.8%). Despite of the pandemic, more than half (54.3%) of healthcare professionals working in Inegol State Hospital stated that they didn't think about getting a COVID-19 vaccine. Providing hospital staff with more education about the safety, efficacy, and value of currently available COVID-19 vaccines is critical to vaccine acceptance in this population. In line with the purpose, behavioral differences related to demographic characteristics and pandemic periods were also evaluated. Material and Methods: The study was conducted in August 2021 and snowball sampling technique was used. A questionnaire of 23 questions was applied to participants, in which compliance with the hygiene rules, including demographic questions, was investigated. The study included 1,069 participants between the ages of 18 and 65, living in Türkiye, using smartphones. Results: In our study, when the results of the compliance with the measures are examined, the compliance has decreased in almost all the other periods compared to the first period of the pandemic. In general, females pay more attention to complying with hygiene rules than males. It has been observed that those who have had COVID-19 disease pay less attention to participating in public areas than those who have not had COVID-19 disease. Conclusion: Social distancing, avoidance of mass events, hygiene, etc., are the most criti-cal measures in slowing the spread of coronavirus. For this reason, it should not be forgotten that non-compliance with the rules will lead to an increase in cases. In terms of the “normalization” steps taken during the pandemic process, analyzing the compliance rate with the hygiene rules seems very important in guiding future studies. © 2022, Turkiye Klinikleri. We examined the association of impaired fasting glucose (IFG) which is the early stage of diabetes, and lipid metabolism disorder. Material and Methods: Our retrospective study included 993 patients without known diabetes, dyslipidemia, cardiovascular disease who applied to Family medicine outpatient clinic. De- mographic characteristics of the cases, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein (HDL), low den- sity lipoprotein (LDL) and hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) parameters were evaluated. Result: Of the study participants, 67.9% were women and 41.6% had IFG. LDL in 35.4% (n=352) of cases; 33.6% (n=334) of total cholesterol; 26.2 % (n=260) had high triglyceride values; HDL was found to low in 51.1% (n=507). The rate of high triglyceride levels and mean age of patients with IFG were higher than those with nor- mal FPG levels (p<0.001) (p<0.001). The incidence of IFG in men was higher than women (p<0.05). HbA1c levels of patients with IFG were higher than with normal FPG (p<0.001). The mean age of the patients with high LDL, total cholesterol and triglyceride levels were found higher than patients with normal values (p<0.001). The HbA1c levels of the cases with abnormal triglyceride levels were higher than those with normal levels (p<0.05). Conclusion: We observed data indicating that lipid metabolism disorder may start together with glucose metabolism in IFG period. In preventive medicine practices, it may be clinically important to identify patients at risk in early period and fol- low them in terms of glucose and lipid metabolism.","PeriodicalId":49403,"journal":{"name":"Turkiye Klinikleri Tip Bilimleri Dergisi","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70784915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
