This type of research is quantitative with experimental methods in the form of quasy experimental (pseudo-experiment). And the sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The study population was 88 children, while the sample was 18 children as a control class. The research instrument consists of five items with score categorization BB (1), MB (2), BSH (3) and BSB (4). The data analysis technique uses normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test, with the help of computerized SPSS 25. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous, so then hypothesis testing is carried out. Hypothesis testing aims to see if there is an effect of treatment in each class. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the independent sample test. There is a difference in the average score increase in the experimental class and control class. The increase in children's scores was higher in the experimental class with an increase of 160 scores, while in the control class the increase was 151 scores. So the results showed that there was an effect of snakes and ladders game on number recognition at Melati Ikhlas Kindergarten Nanggalo Padang City.","PeriodicalId":493037,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Early Childhood and Elementary Education","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135634391","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Problem Based Learning (PBL) method is a learning method that trains and develops the ability to solve an authentic problem of students' actual lives scientifically, which is arranged systematically and discovery is centered on the learner, so that it is expected to change the way students learn independently by improving student learning outcomes. This research is an action research (Class Piercing Research) which consists of three cycles. The conclusion in this study shows that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method assisted by picture card media has been proven to improve student learning outcomes, namely 47.6% in cycle 1 and increased 71.4% in cycle 2 and in cycle 3 to 85,7%. Therefore, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method assisted by picture card media is recommended to be applied in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method assisted by picture card media to improve learning outcomes. The study was conducted at SDN 15 Mataram with a class I sample of 21 students. From the data obtained, it is concluded that the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method assisted by picture card media can improve learning outcomes.","PeriodicalId":493037,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Early Childhood and Elementary Education","volume":"41 24","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135867946","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
