The off-axis near detector called ND280 is installed 280 m downstream from the neutrino production target to measure the neutrino energy spectrum. In this paper, we study the capability of the ND280 detector to search for the dark photon produced through the meson rare decay and proton bremsstrahlung processes at the proton beam dump. We find that the ten-year operation of T2K with the ND280 detector excludes the unexplored parameter region for the dark photon mass and kinetic mixing. We also show that a broader parameter region can be searched by the ND280 in the future T2K operation for dark photon as well as U(1) B−L gauge boson.","PeriodicalId":48906,"journal":{"name":"Journal of High Energy Physics","volume":" 768","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135185956","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our derivation uses the diagrammatic effective field theory approach, and involves Feynman integrals up to two loops, evaluated with the dimensional regularization scheme. We also derive the effective Hamiltonian for adiabatic tides, obtained by taking the appropriate limit of the dynamical effective Hamiltonian, and we check its validity by verifying the complete Poincaré algebra. In the adiabatic limit, we also calculate two gauge-invariant observables, namely, the binding energy for a circular orbit and the scattering angle in a hyperbolic scattering. Our results are important for developing accurate gravitational waveform models for neutron-star binaries for present and future gravitational-wave observatories.","PeriodicalId":48906,"journal":{"name":"Journal of High Energy Physics","volume":" 422","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135186122","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this physical scenario, the sterile neutrino contributes to the nuclear transition through gauge, contact, and mixed interactions. Using the lower limit on the half-life of 0 νββ from the KamLAND-Zen experiment, we then constrain the effective right-handed coupling between the sterile neutrino and the W boson: $$ {mathcal{G}}_R^W $$ <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML\"> <mml:msubsup> <mml:mi>G</mml:mi> <mml:mi>R</mml:mi> <mml:mi>W</mml:mi> </mml:msubsup> </mml:math> . The functional determinant stemming from the path integral is computed using the Covariant Derivative Expansion (CDE), in a momentum representation that does not rely on a specific choice of coordinate to be defined, as it often is. This efficient approach manifests an interesting novelty as it allows to integrate out chiral fermions in curved spacetime in a direct manner leading to new operators involving the curvature, and provides a new alternative to the use of Feynman diagrams in that regard. The method presented would very well fit in a code that performs CDE, offering the possibility to integrate out at one-loop fields on a curved spacetime background, including spin-2 fields, like the graviton. Eventually these results should provide an interesting way to study low energy effects of UV completions of gravity.","PeriodicalId":48906,"journal":{"name":"Journal of High Energy Physics","volume":" 71","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135191389","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we discuss the bootstrap problem for the invariant measure of the stochastic Ising model defined as a Markov chain where probability bounds and invariance equations are imposed. It is described by a linear programming (LP) hierarchy whose asymptotic convergence is shown by explicitly constructing the invariant measure from the convergent sequence of moments. We also discuss the relation between the LP hierarchy for the invariant measure and a recently introduced semidefinite programming (SDP) hierarchy for the Gibbs measure of the statistical Ising model based on reflection positivity and spin-flip equations.","PeriodicalId":48906,"journal":{"name":"Journal of High Energy Physics","volume":" 20","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135290519","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This includes working out symmetry representations and their corresponding tensor structures. These structures are then used to compute the anomalous dimensions of scalar operators with up to four fields and arbitrary representations to six-loop order. Moreover, we determine one-loop anomalous dimensions for a large number of low-lying operators in the spectrum which include more powers of the fundamental field and/or insertions of derivatives. As an aside we show how projectors used in the conformal bootstrap can be conveniently reused in computations of anomalous dimensions. The results of our study are of use to the conformal bootstrap. They also illuminate features of conformal perturbation theory and the large n expansion. Our results may be of interest for various crossover phenomena in statistical field theory. In total, we compute the scaling dimension of more than 300 operators, of which 16 are computed to six-loops. Our analysis is exhaustive with respect to group theory up to rank 4 for any number of flavours n , and also exhaustive with respect to which representations exist for n ⩽ 4.","PeriodicalId":48906,"journal":{"name":"Journal of High Energy Physics","volume":" 35","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135290658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Being most general, the proposed approach is the same time far simpler than those available so far. In particular, it is free from the necessity to use the Schouten identity. Remarkably, the problem of reconstruction of higher-spin vertices is mapped to certain polyhedra cohomology in terms of homotopy parameters themselves. The new scheme provides a powerful tool for the study of higher-order corrections in higher-spin theory and, in particular, its spin-locality. It is illustrated by the analysis of the lower order vertices, reproducing not only the results obtained previously by the shifted homotopy approach but also projectively-compact vertices with the minimal number of derivatives, that were so far unreachable within that scheme.","PeriodicalId":48906,"journal":{"name":"Journal of High Energy Physics","volume":" 11","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135290745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":1,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We generalize the instanton-induced inflation and dynamical compactification to general Einstein manifolds with positive curvature and also to the FLRW metric with spatial curvature. We explicitly construct Yang-Mills instantons on all Einstein manifolds under consideration and find that the homogeneous and isotropic universe is allowed only if the internal space is homogeneous. We then consider the FLRW metric with spatial curvature as a solution of the eight-dimensional Einstein-Yang-Mills theory.
