As the world grapples with these rapid developments, a crucial and complex question remains at the forefront: can online live performances genuinely supplant the longstanding tradition of offline live concerts or shows? This paper delves deep into this evolving landscape, exploring the dynamic interplay between these formats while considering a multitude of factors. It considers audience preferences, highlighting how online concerts have proven financially lucrative but often lack the emotional depth of their offline counterparts, which, remarkably, continue to thrive and are even projected to surpass pre-pandemic revenue levels. Amidst these considerations, a new trend emerges with hybrid concerts, blending online and offline elements to cater to diverse preferences. In this transformative and ever-evolving environment, both formats coexist, offering artists and audiences a vibrant spectrum of options, ultimately reshaping the future of the entertainment industry.","PeriodicalId":488572,"journal":{"name":"Communications in Humanities Research","volume":"10 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139389248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But in almost every country, women are oppressed as second-class. This paper studies the phenomenon of gender inequality in the world, and finds that the traditional ideology of son preference in rural areas shows that in the workplace, women not only have fewer opportunities for employment and promotion than men, but also bear the double pressure of housework and employment. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated women's employment difficulties and domestic violence. In order to solve the inequality between men and women, the government should improve relevant laws and regulations and guide the development of mass media. At the same time, women should improve their own quality and strengthen the construction of leadership.","PeriodicalId":488572,"journal":{"name":"Communications in Humanities Research","volume":"7 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139389463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research investigated how Confuciuss thoughts put social constraints on women in China, Japan, and South Korea because of their gender through the content of the books and the derived meaning of folk while looking at the ideological transformation of women in society to resist these regulations. People in those societies are often disciplined by thousands of years of traditional etiquette, hence the conflict between self-consciousness and cultural oppression brought about by Confucianism becomes an important topic among East Asian scholars. The paper aims to show how the Confucius norms build on the fixed gender role in different ways and analyze the social oppression of East Asian women, with the resistance and struggle that women are making in these countries. Hence a better understanding of the progress of women's rights in East Asian countries and the role of women in society. The significance of the paper is that it makes up the research gap on how Confucian culture oppresses women's social status and uses realistic scenes while demonstrating the transformation of women's self-consciousness under these regulations in a chronological sequence.","PeriodicalId":488572,"journal":{"name":"Communications in Humanities Research","volume":"9 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139389663","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Anchored in the framework of cultural sociology, the study traces the monument's origins to Franco's regime, where it was intended as a symbol of authoritarian triumph. As Spain transitioned to democracy, the Arco's significance shifted, reflecting the changing narratives and collective memory of Spanish society. Through analysis of academic literature and historical records, the study explores the monument's contested semantics over time and public discourses that surround it. The findings reveal that the Arco de la Victoria, much like other Francoist monuments, has evolved from a representation of unified national identity to a site of contestation and re-negotiation in democratic Spain. The paper contributes to the understanding of how historical symbols are re-evaluated as societies progress and how they continue to shape and reflect collective identities and memories.","PeriodicalId":488572,"journal":{"name":"Communications in Humanities Research","volume":"125 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139387740","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The situation driven by the pandemic is no longer severe as the pandemic fades away, with a trend observed in shopping ways. Hong Kong is a typical area with strict policies implemented during the pandemic, yet citizens in Hong Kong prefer offline shopping, compared with online shopping, after the pandemic since the beginning of 2023. Based on The North Face, a brand popular in Hong Kong, the current study collected the questionnaire data from hundreds of participants and put forward four campaigns. In light of the possible transfer of recovery from the pandemic, it is anticipated that in addition to The North Face, other offline stores may also benefit from this study.","PeriodicalId":488572,"journal":{"name":"Communications in Humanities Research","volume":"101 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139388064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various forms of media have played a pivotal role in portraying women's representation. Within the film industry, there has been a notable transformation in the depiction of female characters. Unlike the past, where women were often objectified through the traditional male gaze, modern cinema has given rise to multifaceted female characters brought to life by a myriad of directors and screenwriters. These characters have ceased to be mere accessories and have emerged as independent figures, relatable to countless female viewers. This analysis focuses on the movie Lady Bird as a compelling illustration of contemporary female diversity in cinema. Through an examination of five key scenes, this essay explores the cinematic language, emotions, and messages conveyed to the audience. It delves into how these elements resonate with women of a similar age to the film's heroines. In essence, Lady Bird effectively encapsulates the struggles and passions of young women during their high school years.","PeriodicalId":488572,"journal":{"name":"Communications in Humanities Research","volume":"87 22","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139388178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
