While adaptive reuse stands as a sustainable method for effectively preserving and converting them into an active resource for the future, it must be supported by a thorough and multidisciplinary research in order to make informed judgments and implement appropriate solutions. The paper assesses the adaptive reuse of three historic madrasas in Istanbul and examines its impact on their preservation status. The selected madrasas are Mihrimah Sultan (1548), Şemsi Ahmed Paşa (1580), and Kılıç Ali Paşa madrasas (1588). The selected case studies are presented using data from literature, archival research, and field observations, and their adaptive reuse is evaluated using criteria established in the literature. According to the findings, adaptive reuse had a detrimental impact on the cultural significance of these valuable buildings.","PeriodicalId":487006,"journal":{"name":"SAR Journal","volume":"2011 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134903444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The crime total is the number of incidents reported to the police, obtained from public reports and events where the perpetrators were caught red-handed by the police. We can use the Poisson model to analyze the data, but the existence of spatial heterogeneity in the data makes the model less accurate. This research investigates the methods when there is spatial heterogeneity in the data by using Geographically weighted regression (GWR), Geographically Weighted Poisson Regression (GWPR) and Geographically Weighted Random Forest (GW-RF). We compare the GWR, GWPR, and GW-RF models for criminal cases in East Java in handling multicollinearity in the data. The results of this study indicate that the GW-RF model is better for modeling criminal cases with the smallest RMSE and MAPE values and an R-Square value close to 1. Based on the three most important variables in each location, they form six groups of regencies/cities in East Java, Indonesia. The variables vary between groups and the poverty severity index is not included in the three most important variables in all locations.","PeriodicalId":487006,"journal":{"name":"SAR Journal","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134903442","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the technologies that have been developed to improve patient outcomes is the smart infusion pump, which has the ability to identify several programming problems when applied correctly. However, based on existing use, there are contradictory reports on smart pumps' potential to avoid patients' harm in the absence of other features, as well as deliver professional care to patients. This study aimed to understand the experience of nurses when performing smart infusion pumps in their practice, the influence of this technology on their confidence, and how much this technology is trusted to rely on to prevent medical errors. Previous studies focused entirely on longitudinal and quantitative studies, which take a long time and cost a lot. A qualitative study collected from an online survey that contained three types of questions: open-ended questions, closed-ended questions, and rating questions to evaluate participants' answers about smart infusion pumps among their practices in Saudi Arabia hospitals, a survey targeting nursing staff and we got 30 replies. The outcomes have revealed a significant impact of smart infusion pumps on nursing practice.","PeriodicalId":487006,"journal":{"name":"SAR Journal","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134903446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study uses the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) to evaluate user acceptance of the ISb-GM framework by adding four attributes from the collaboration's parameter. 36 hypotheses are formulated with a sample of 293 respondents. Proving the hypothesis resulted in 29 hypotheses being accepted, while seven were rejected. These results suggest that the proposed framework is generally accepted. In comparison, the rejected hypothesis informs that technology needs to be applied more extended and continuously so that users can learn more about it and feel the benefits. This research has two implications. Firstly, SME developers can consider and implement this proposed framework in their communities to improve collaboration performance. Second, gamification technology developers can consider and improvise proposed gamification mechanics to develop collaboration mechanics for various fields.","PeriodicalId":487006,"journal":{"name":"SAR Journal","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134903245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
